This is a very crisp, relatively straight cucumber variety, very similar to Marketmore 76. I enjoyed growing it in a friend's garden and was blessed with a bountiful harvest.
NC State rates this twice as effective against downy mildew as Marketmore on the chart I just looked at and downy mildew is at epidemic proportions in the eastern US, but that was an old trial so this could could be a new strain of downy mildew, who knows. Gonna try it.
Honestly, unless I grew Poinsett side by side with Marketmore, I would not be able to distinguish any difference in flavor or texture. Poinsett tastes like an Armenian cucumber.

How to price
For selling at a farmer's market?
How did these taste? Thinking of growing Poinsett 76 next year as my primary variety because of reported disease resistance.
