This one was a bit tricky but it turned out alright after a bit of work.
The beginning went well but after i started filming the first three cucumbers they suddenly rotted away at the same time at day 45.
After that i started to take better care of the plant and and added a piece of plexiglass so the fourth cucumber wouldn't be in contact with the moist soil. Also removed the lower leaves when they started to get a bit dry to get a better view of the cucumbers.

When I was a kid my mom planted cucumbers near a 30 foot tree and the vines claimed the tree and we had a tree full of cucumbers. It was fun climbing the tree to pick them and drop them down to my mom. We made many jars of yummy pickles. They were great on burgers or just as a snack. Summer of 94 was great.
Wow,what a good memory to keep
This is such a cute memory.
Your mom is great
this is so wholesome
😍
I grew cucumbers. When the plant is at its prime it can grow a decent sized cucumber in about a day and a half. It was insane
My plant is huge but the fruiting seems very slow. I got like 100 tiny little cucumbers but they've been that size for about 2 weeks already :(
@@newvocabulary They need to be pollinated. If insects aren't doing it for you, look for male flowers to do it manually. Female flowers will have a fruit behind them like those shown in this video. Male flowers lack the fruit. Gently remove the male flower from the plant, then dab and twist it into all the female flowers to spread the genetic material. Look for videos of manual pollination if this isn't clear enough for you. You should have growing fruit very quickly. Good luck!

I remember playing with these vines as a kid, I would pull them and coil them around other plants and watch it spread in the garden.
These farming simulators make it looks so easy, took 60 days to get to a cucumber.
Should be 35 day you can start harvest.. every plant produce 10 to 20kg in 65 days.
I have cucumbers and tomatoes at home, it took me 35 days.
I harvested 5 cucumbers over a week
yeah but they are prolific and produce multiple fruit until the end of season. in this video, they heavily pruned the plant just to focus on one cucumber
It takes 3 years to grow a mandarins tree and for the fruit
Pro tip: Playback on 2x speed for an upbeat jazz + speedy growth experience
I must use a spoon for planting from now on, makes them grow so quick

I plant vegetables myself right now and they probably mislabeled the bags cause my cauliflower looks a bit like this cucumber right now lol
My mom once had that with parsley.. At first it did look similar, but then the leaves started to look really.. off. 😂 Turns out it was carrots, well at that point baby carrots, bc they were in a pot not deep enough to grow properly, lol.
1:30 looks like the cucumber plant is enjoying the music.
This needs more attention 😃👍
Yep!
Beautiful, those leaves are so delicate.
its so amazing to see how one seeds becomes this big plant that makes cucumbers

To anyone whose not seeing germination within 5-7 days: you probably have a bad seed. The best way to see if you have viable seeds before planting them is drop all your seeds in a cup of water. Wait 15 minutes. All the seeds that are floating on the top, throw them out. I didnt realize this trick until i planted my third bag of seeds, so some of the seeds i planted before were wasting my soil and water resources. Its a good thing to do. I will just use the ones that didnt sprout as more filling and topping soil
Edit: All the seeds that sunk to the bottom are good to go for planting in soil and will likely germinate👍
Is this applicable to all seeds?
@@Flyingnalong I just looked it up and it appears to be for all seeds. Wish I had of known this before planting, lol. Oh well, I'll know better next time.
For certain seeds, I have heard the opposite. Plant them all !!!

I’m so envious!
I live in northwestern Montana. We can’t plant outside until June 1st.
I have a greenhouse but it’s cost prohibitive to heat it 24/7.
You don’t heat green houses, the sun heats it.
@@Genshinlmao123 ...
We don’t plant outside until June 1st. Our spring is that short, about 3 weeks.
When March 20 came this year we had 7 days of beautiful weather. Then we got 2’ of snow and temps in the 20s. This lasted 2 weeks.
Our overnight lows did not rise above 32 until about 10 days ago.
The day time temps were 30s - 40s until recently and have peaked at low 50s until recently. We had some scattered nice days.
Most days are cloudy with very little sun. It’s toasty (sort of) in the greenhouse when there’s sun.
I started tomatoes in the greenhouse early April. They didn’t germinate until early May. Since then they have grown like wildfire to 1.5” 😂
Greenhouses do not get warm, unless there is consistent sunshine and outside temps are reasonable.
I’m planning on building a smaller shed this summer (for next year) that is heated, just for starting plants.
It would be cool if you could tell us everything you did for the plant on each of the days you did it so maybe we had a little more confidence that we could do it ourselves
I threw my seed in an old toilet I had outside and it produced me a good ole cucumber

That’s crazy. Mine are stuck on day 3 for over a week now. ☹️
How's the moisture in your soil and the temperature? Cucumbers germinate best in highly moist soil with a medium 60s (Fahrenheit) temperature range.
So amazing!. Time lapse is so cool. Nice one enjoyed watching this. I love planting too.
Super cool! I LOVE growing cucumbers! Currently making my own pickles :D
