Hi Katie, I made your vegie tarts/puffs from this video. They were really good. I had mushrooms, capsicum, zucchini, onion and kale in the fridge, which were looking sad but still good to eat. They looked much better with puff pastry.

Katie, I learned a trick a couple of years ago that helps with the onions. What you do is you put a glass of water beside the onion whilst you’re chopping it. I’m not sure exactly how it works, but it’s done the trick for me. It might be worth a try, anyway. You and Bob are both so creative! Those meals looked delicious.

Katie, I know that you do not eat real cottage cheese or eggs but this is SUPER good and hope you try AS IS and also try to substitute tofu for cottage cheese, a veg beef broth pkg for George W B, and use an egg replacement. It is everyone’s favourite that I know is vegetarian here. You are good at using as a base recipe so go for it! Do it once as is to know what it REALLY tastes like though. Love you guys. ❤
A crazy idea for a future challenge. Three meals, three portions. Person one has the biggest budget - 3 pounds. They have to buy staples for breakfast, but enough for what is left to go toward the next meal or two. Person two has 2 pounds, to add to the leftover food choices and make lunch. They can use some or all of the leftovers from breakfast, but must have something left for the final meal. Person three only has 1 pound to add to what's left and make dinner from it. Again, it should use all the leftovers (unless person 1 bought a loaf of bread or 3kg potatoes!). Spices, condiments and pantry items are free (as long as you have them) but a limit on oil/spread, sugar, flour, etc, of just 1 tablespoon per meal - meaning if it isn't used in meals 1 and 2, it can all go for meal 3! Like I said, a crazy idea but I think you'll get the gist of it and potentially make it into a workable format. I won't specify a shop to buy from - that would complicate things more - but you might decide on how and where to get the food - even Too Good to Go or the other 'free food' apps - that might give you quantity as well as buying variety!

This was such good challenge and both very creative and be trying Katie’s idea on apple crumble but the winner I would say is Katie as she has creative and such good idea using pastry and apple crumble but both did look good should you do this challenge again but in corner shop I bet that will be hard

Hi guys can you do a microwave only food for a week challenge, my oven busted so I only got my microwave to cook with no kettle or toaster only a microwave so I'm challenging you guys to buy n eat only microwave foods for a week in hope you give me n others more ideas other than just BEEAAANNNNNNNS, noodles and microwave rice a d microwave chips
You can get jacket potatos for the microwave. A vegan "tuna mayo" filling mash some drained chickpeas straight out of a tin some sweetcorn and vegan mayonnaise mixed in with some salt and pepper and top with some of the 30p green cress you can get from supermarket. You only need a microwave for that and it doesn't taste like it because it's a proper meal 😁💕

If you get a steamer you can do a lot of veg in the microwave
