I got my first non-heart ascension 20 win with Ironclad yesterday, using Snecko eye, bludgeon, double tap and necronomicom with Shuriken. I feel like I wouldn't have achieved this without watching and learning from your vids. Thanks Baarlor and keep making great content! Now i just need to win A20 with Silent and Watcher

No, craziest Slay the Spire run already happened with his Necronomicurse mastery run. I have a hard time imagining anything ever beating that.

This run was practically over halfway thru the first act, and officially dusted by the end of it. Brimstone, branch, and corruption is certified GGs every single time.

The curse Ascender’s Bane exhausted after previous turn, triggering Dead Branch, which created Evolve.
I had to watch a couple times to figure that out too 👍

i'm just gonna say this. You COULD have had a 2nd floor medical kit.
I was really surprised that he skipped the remove there. I'm a low-level player, and I would have thought he'd always take any chance for a remove. Guess that's one more thing to learn: when you'd actually skip the remove.
@@TheTookinatorHe skipped the remove because he was going to a second shop. If you are going to two shops and only plan on removing at one of them, it’s better to remove at the second shop. That way you get to see what’s in the second shop before deciding how to spend your money.
@@Shwhjabs Ah, OK, I was thinking if you want to remove both times anyway, then you just do it no matter what, but you're saying he saved the money because better that and an extra card in this particular scenario than to come up short on buying something he really wants in that second shop he knows he'll hit so soon.

Even after watching his runs, I still lose a20 ironclad 90% of the time lol. Just certain fights starting a2 where the enemy attacks repeatedly for 20+dmg and I cant out-block / out-defend and I get crushed cause my deck is still mostly defends and strikes with a few upgrades / relics like wtf am I supposed to do there?

mf I'm watching first act and Baalor skipped on 2 wild strikes and a medkit + dead branch combo. Also the corruption too (which I agree was hard to justify until dead branch, especially with the picks I'd have taken)
What a nonsense run! I've only even seen until act 2 start and the tomfoolery is off the charts!

I say this with all due respect, as someone who watches every single one of your videos, but I can't help but notice that so many of the Ironclad videos that get uploaded to RUclips are Dark Embrace/Feel No Pain/Corruption runs. For me at least, it gets a little boring. I was really enjoying your recent Defect and Silent runs because there is so much variety there.
I enjoyed this video - but I was wondering as I watched if Dead Branch on Ironclad does tend to reduce down to a block build of some kind. You either get Corruption/Feel No Pain/Barricade from the Dead Branch, or you're always happy to take it as soon as it's offered as a real card.
I think it's just hard to do anything else on ironclad that scales well into the late game.
