    Thank you for the detailed review with very calming background music :). Best thing about Air Canada Signature is that the hard product is very uniform throughout its fleet. Nearly all lie flat seats are identical, even cabin finishes, seat colour shape and texture, and seat layouts are identical whether it’s 330, 787 or the 777. That way you get a very consistent hard product for J class regardless of which route you take. As someone who flies a lot, J product consistency is really important in one’s travel experience.
    As for the amenity kit being removed, I honestly don’t mind for short transcon routes - good for the environment to save a bit of plastic that people will throw away after one use 😊

    • @TraverseFlightReview
      @TraverseFlightReview  2 года назад +3

      Omg yes consistency is great. Gosh everytime I try to book a Lufthansa flight im like which of the 20 different J's am I going to be flying? LOL
      Yeah it's not too much of an issue that the kits got removed (i have collected too many haha). Just wish they would update their homepage to note this as there you can still see it says it will supply one for North American flights...

    • @kiddo817

      @@TraverseFlightReview totally agree. Given the chaos and shortages airlines face, even if you secure a nice J seat at booking it’ll likely get swapped away at the gate with different equipment. My experience with AC is that they at least try to ensure you get the same type of J seat if there’s equipment swap. Once they are done with refurbishments on the last 2 remaining A330s then it’ll all be the same J… not to mention the 321 neos with lieflats coming soon.

      @@kiddo817 for the return i purposely booked the old J to do a little comparison for the viewers, only to get an equipment swap for the refurbed config again 🥲

    I was watching on my tv but had to go on my phn to say thanks for this review and anyone thats happy to see that a330 as much as me is a friend. Before pandemic we wld go to cancun every year 1 hr south of cancun. Every year transat. A330 club class. This will be our first time in dec flying on a 777 in business. So everytime we see a video we watch it. I must say that landing of your plane was nice.

      Wow thank you so much for your kind words Michael. Trust me, AC Signature Class will definitely be better than A330 Club with Air Transat :) Very jealous of your upcoming trip and wishing you happy flights!

      @@michaelallen2221 lie flat seats are great. The 777's have a bigger airframe so its much more spacious and the seats are wider. i think you should definitely go with the 777 :)

      @@michaelallen2221 To be honest, its too gentle I cant even feel it. They need to roll out the shiatsu function 😂 as for the crew, yeah its very disappointing. Ive rarely had any unpleasant flights with AC but lately thats been flipped upside down.

    Took this round trip for my trip to Lisbon this past weekend. Indeed not very fun to sleep in. I can sleep like a baby on the 787s (Haven't rode 777 long haul) but could not get a single hour of sleep on the A330. Also note for the bulkhead window seats for A330, the fuselage starts tapering in so your feet will jam into the walls before being fully into the foot well during full lie flat mode (this is a huge issue with Westjet's 787 J). Do avoid the bulkhead windows if you're a longer legged person.
