- Buying this bike I didn’t realize I would like it so much! I’ve never ridden one until I drove off the lot with it! And it has been the best bike I have ever ridden, I feel like I’ve modded this bike perfectly! The power and torque is extremely fun carving the streets or hitting double apexes at the track! Overall 10/10!

The bike looks absolutely great-wishes from Germany
*Guten Tag Herr Keiser* o.O
Dude… with the mods you’ve made that is basically the perfect bike. Congrats!
thanks for making this video I just went and looked at one today and im getting one for sure
Love it, great job on the mods. Enjoy it and stay safe.
Theyre one of the best looking bikes. IMO
Mate you've a absolutely sick bike, ragards from Portugal 😊
Thank you 🙏
Since I'm in the hunt for an INDIAN FTR RIGHT NOW, I'M ENVIOUS, COMPLETELY.
YOU BRAT ME TO IT!
Good move on the wheel swap! I think the 17" tire swap is great idea.
Stock seat and your upgrade to the carbon looks super.
Carbon, carbon, carbon!
Nice on the pegs, too.
Cool on the warranty!
Your FTR IS AWESOME!
Gorgeous bike man. Looks absolutely perfect and sounds incredible. I bet its an absolute blast to ride!! Great job man.
Thanks man! I highly recommend going and test riding one!
That exhaust sounds 😈😈😈
Looks great. I'm thinking about grabbing the Tank radiator guard/turn signals. Just grabbed the RSD risers and gauge relocation kit. Ohh .. I have a 2019 as well... Analog gauge
Beautiful bike. I wish I could have one of those as well 😊
We chatted a bit at COTA. Really nice example of an FTR. Thanks for sharing it.
The 30/40mm Gilles rearset extensions do help. I've got Titax wheels in gold on my '22. Totally worth it in handling and weight savings. You may have seen there's a set of used ones for sale out there. Grab them! My FTR weighs 442 lbs now with full tank of fuel in street legal trim, a bunch less in track trim. Rizoma Cafe bars are a hoot (I switch between those and the MA011B) but I really like the drag bars having seen them on your bike. Just like I used to run from the 80s superbike days like 40 yrs ago (ugh time flies).
520 chain conversion yields readily noticeable positive improvements. Have 48T, 46T and 45T rear sprockets. 46T is likely the best practical choice for most folks but for shorter tracks (not COTA!) the 48T would likely be the way to go.
There's also a LOT more HP and torque to be gained across the usable RPM range with prudent top end work but reliability may suffer. Good for the track, maybe not so much for a daily driver, depends on the owner's whims, of course.
This winter the plan is to sort out a steering damper to make the FTR pass tech for those sanctioning bodies that require one. Belly pan with the Toce is tough but maybe doable. Not all organizations require one, some do. Not sure if the new Toce design is better in that regard (supposedly has more ground clearance since the previous one drags as you know). May have to redesign the down pipes and collector too, we'll see.
Front brake upgrades are easy with significant benefits on the track. Deleting the ABS will get the weight well below 400 lbs. Some suspension magic would make it even more track worthy but having checked into it...$$$...likely as much as all the other mods combined. Maybe no longer as practical for a street bike at that point of course. :) Also looking at fabbing a rear subframe. So many projects read: money pits!
No way!!! I remember talking! I’m glad you found me, please shoot me a DM on Instagram!! Would love to keep in touch. I can’t stop thinking about your bike with the carbon wheels 😮💨
And I found a link for the gilles extension from a company out of Italy. Was wondering if you had a link for them.
422lb ftr? Any links to your build? I always wanted one but the weight scared me away.
@@NBTclothing Hey there! Sent you a few emails and left a voice mail at your business contact. Shared the Gilles link at Bellissimoto. Would be great to stay in touch.
@@bmwm3man Sorry, nothing posted anywhere. Would be happy to share details though if we can figure out how to connect.
Basic formula: Toce exhaust and mandatory Lloyd's tune, carbon fiber everything including license plate bracket, titanium fasteners where appropriate, (safely) remove anything that doesn't hold the bike together, Gilles rearsets (and there's a way to make them even higher than stock so they don't drag), forged aluminum or carbon wheels, 520 chain conversion, lightweight sprockets, LiFePO4 battery. Incremental weight savings can make a big difference despite what some seem to think. It all adds up.
Using the right brand and model chain can yield a higher tensile strength than the stock 525. The reduced rotational mass makes a noticeable difference in handling and acceleration.
There may be another ~20 lbs available if one is willing to remove the ABS but maybe that would be best left to a track only bike. Not advocating people do that.
Hope that helps. The FTR is a very fun bike.
Killing it 💪🏼
Just trying to be consistent lol
Nice bike! 🔥
If i get an ftr it'll will be purely because of this video❤
New dream unlocked. 😍
how’s the Indian logotype on tank sticking? you had any issues with having them detaching here and there? I’m having trouble myself
Gorgeous. The lower bars makes all the difference and the fatter rear tire. I’d still try to lower the bars even more. Maybe get some sport bike clip ons or something. Idk.. I love the cafe racer look. Awesome awesome bike. Just curious what the horsepower is after the tune
That bike is gorgeous. Ive never wanted a thing so badly
😂😂 thanks man! If you get the chance the test ride one, definitely do so
Beautiful bike. 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
how many miles on ur bike? what "common issues" to look at when buying used? best regards
From dig, this vs a liter super sport, who win to 140 mph?
I fucking love these!! FTR S is what I really want (black w gold like this one) but I need waaaay more experience riding before I could think about it lol
any links for exhaust and radiator guard?
Hey bro, sick looking bike. Can you share exact code of Rizoma handlebar?
Beautiful bike, great vid! Thanks for posting 👍🙂... question re: wheels... are they forged aluminium? They look fantastic would you mind posting a link? Looking at some lightweight forged aluminium wheels for my tuono factory v4, had some on a previous bike and omg the difference!
Cheers from Australia 👍🙂
Thank you! I wish they were forged aluminum but they are not. I’m trying to get my hands on a set of dymags. Those would also go great on your tuono
love it
Sweet bike. I have the 22 R Carbon and am looking to mod it some more. What are your thoughts about lowering the triple tree just a touch to get a little more weight on the front end? I've tried finding some info about doing this on the FTR but haven't found anything as of yet. I've done this to several bikes including my last one, a 2021 ZX10R, and have had great results. I will be getting the Toce with a tune but I'm curious what's been your experience with ground clearance on the headers? I have changed the front master cylinder to a Brembo RCS, as well as pads which made a huge improvement. I've also changed the clutch cable and perch which improved the clutch feel. One last thing, have you found a steering damper yet? Thanks!
So about lowering the bike in the front through triple tree. You should be fine if you get the race spec headers Toce just came out with. They run closer to the bike overall for more clearance. I had to max mine out high for more clearance because I was dragging headers around the track. And for the clutch if it’s stock they’re terrible. Need to get the rekluse clutch. And for steering damper it’s not really needed on this bike. I’ve seen some forums but I know some guys racing these in super hooligan not even running a damper. If you’re gonna go with the Toce system shoot me a dm on IG. I may be able to hook you up a little bit and dynojet as well. They’re getting ready to come out with some new things for the FTRs. I will be posting soon about it
These bikes are soo badass
💯💯
Awesome bike brother! Where did you end up sourcing the wheels from? I have a 19' and also going with the full carbon look. I just can't find anyone who has the carbon radiator shrouds.
A guy listed them on the Facebook ftr forum. You could also get them through Indian if they’re in stock. And on that forum there’s a guy that makes carbon fiber parts. Check it out!
DAWG THAT FTR IS SSSIIICCCKKK🤌🏽🔥
Yo, where are you finding these gilles adapters? I have the same and I'm not seeing them on the internet.
Love the bike tho! It's such a fun bike to track

Does it wheelie good??
Diggin it! I just bought a 2023 Sport in the Black color way. When you did the tune did it drastically bump up your Hp/torque numbers or just kind of even everything out?
I know a lot of people tune Indians when they get them because the factory tune has some fuel mapping problems in the low end. Probably to pass emissions but it makes indians buck a bit at low rpms. You gain hp too but I know most people do it for rideability.
Bumped it a few. I did some air box mods to mine that required me to get it tuned. But basically these bikes need tuned from the factory the smooth them out. I’ve messed with my tune about a dozen times now lol
If you’re looking for a tuner I went with the dynojet pv3 and I love it. Easy to change your tune on the fly. I have a discount code if you’re interested.
Great looking bike, I have a 22 ftr S. I want to get the carbon fiber side panels
The carbon is definitely a move 🙏
Bike looks great. I might be bias but the wheels are the perfect color.
😂😂 twinsies. We need to link up for a ride one day
@@NBTclothing Definitely.
Looks great. How much did the upgrades cost you?
I’m going to do a video on that
@@NBTclothing looking forward.
hey man i got a serious question abt this built, specifically the wheel swap, so with the 17 inch wheels on, are you able to get the front ABS to work cuz i dont really understand how you kinda described it, awesome bike btw im gonna copy most of your mods lol
If you get the 2023 17 inch wheels you can direct swap with the tone ring. These are 20-22 17s so in order for my bike to not constantly go into limp mode I had to pull the abs fuse. So now it doesn’t record mileage or show mph.
@@NBTclothing thanks boss🤝🏼🤝🏼
Yo, nice bike! I just picked up a 2023 ftr S, but I want to get the akrapovic mufflers. Would you be willing to sell them?
Yeah I still have them. Shoot me a dm on Instagram @nickyboys_toyz
Bro j want to do the the smaller wheels also and get a fatter tire in the back are those aftermarket
These are stock 17 inch wheels off a 2022 FTR
Just subscribed I’m a big life of Burch fan. Will be buying some of your stuff just to shut yammie noob up
I appreciate the support. Burch is the man 🙌
Sick bike man, but im pretty sure the rear tyres on the wrong way around, might be worth checking on it. Stay safe bro!
Lol yeah it is. Doesn’t really matter to much being I mainly track the bike. Unless I get caught in the rain.
No you didn’t ruin it one bit looks great ❤️
Thank you!! 🙏🙏
nice helmet
You got a nail in your tire
Well,
I can hear you coming here in
Birmingham
England 😂
😂😂
What did it make on the dyno?
With a couple secret air box mods and not tapped into the motor yet. 130hp
Please tell me how you can ride at COTA
Just sign up for a ride smart track day. I was invited the time I went out there. Was a blast.
My guy, switch that damn. Clutch lever out for an RSC one and thank me later. First thing I did on my FTR because the stock has a trash feeling to it
What helmet are you wearing?
KYT NZ Race Carbon
Bike=Schwinn;&Cycle= Ndian/H.D.!
i love these things i just cant believe how pricey they are. can buy a brand new R1 for what this thing costs. beautiful bike though
Help me understand why you’d take off the AKRO for a Toce?? It’s not actually better! The Toce is only better if you have the generic exhaust!
Now that you e gone through my whole RUclips channel lol. 1. The akro pipe is heavy, sounds like shit, restrictions on restrictions. 2. If they were so good how come no one is using them in the super hooligan class on there FTRs and 3. My FTR is pushing around 130hp.
How tall are you as a rider?
As a rider I’m 6 foot. As a non rider I am also 6 foot
I'm coming over. I will take it from you.
Come on over lol
@@NBTclothing If I lived in the US bro... awesome ride btw.
ruined it really bad, but you seem like your a cool dude so ima do u a solid and buy this off you so you can start fresh. Am available not this saturday but next saturday. lmk.
😂😂 I’m free whenever
There are actually riders in the world, that believe mirrors are unnecessary?
😂 🤯 💥 🏍️ 🧱
Something thats been getting on my nerves, is the wierd and weak starter sound of these bikes. I've got a Scout and it sounds nearly identical. Its always kind of a weak start, but it does always fire up. I've never had a bike that acted this way. I've ridden 70's and 80's Kawi inline 4 , Yamaha V-twin , and not owned , but rode enough Dyna , and Dyna wides. I know there were and are some defective batteries and such, but I'm disappointed it doesn't just crank fast and start ? Ya'll understand what I mean ?
Edit: You should not have to hold the start switch down. I believe the person in this video already had a bad experience where they pushed it , let go ,and it DID NOT start.
Every bike I’ve owned I’ve had to hold the starter down until it fires up. Sometimes takes 2 or 3 seconds. If it fires up every time, there’s probably not an issue. Could be using the absolute least amount of voltage possible to start these bikes to save battery power? Not sure I’m not an engineer but nothing sounds out of the ordinary in my opinion
Ur screen melted wtf. I hope that don't happen to mine.
Lol yeah. Warranty covered it
Für 125 cc geht’s.
Tall people who shorten their bike because they cant ride is Lol 😅
Huh? lol
That doesn't make any sense.
But by you profile picture I'm assuming you're a Harley rider that can't stand any other bike?
Sorry just pictured bears on bicycles from your comment😂.
Ima go ahead and assume you meant “short people” lol. Why you hating on short people dude? Everyone deserves to ride an FTR at least once in their short life
#ruined. Trade it in
You helped me ruin it 😂
The only thing I think you did "wrong" was swap the 18/19 combo for 17s. Nobody should be using supersport tires on the street, anyway, and there are plenty of good sport-touring tires for the 18 and 19 diameters. 18/19 just looks RIGHT on this kind of bike. It completes the look. Save the 17s for the wannabe street Rossis.
EDIT: Well, if you're riding on track, yeah. 17s all the way. But if it were me, I'd swap them out when going back to the streets.
17’s are 10x better. Not only can you run wider width on the rear but you have way more tire choices than being stuck with the 18/19. It’s a night and day difference riding one with 17’s vs 18/19✌🏻
And you are too tall 4 this bike.
shameful squid with no mirrors, have fun breaking your neck when overtaking.
Technically you shouldn’t be using mirrors while riding. Head movement, eyes. Only time mirrors should be used on a bike is at a stop light….. but you seem like you know it all
Moat smooth brain take I've ever heard.
LISTEN GUYS, DO NOT USE MIRRORS WHILE RIDING.
Dude do you even have a license to ride?
You're a hazard.
Stop hating old man take your meds and go to sleep
Never rely on mirrors alone.
