We did have a safe that looks like that one. Cousin had it and it came out of one of the bankrupt banks in the late 1800’’s early 1900’s. It’s so heavy it eventually fell thru the floor in the old farmhouse.

Work smarter not harder. There's a lot easier way to open those. First use your sledgehammer to knock off the dial. Then right behind the dial there is a pin which the dial connects to. Next get yourself a punch that's the same size as the pin. Then place the punch on the pin. Then use your sledgehammer or a ball-peen hammer to start hitting the punch. Keep hitting the punch with the hammer until you drive the pin through the back of the safe door. Once you get the PIN to go through then remove the punch and the tumblers will all drop. Presto the door will open. Hope this will help make it easier for you on future safes.
I have found 2 safes. Called sentry with serial # sent notary signed paper where I found it they sent me combination.

seen some floor safes that were loaded with I believe was cyanide liquid that turned to gas when broke, no one would leave alive

I have pulled old flooring with possible asbestos a couple of times. Hoping it wasn’t in the linoleum from 1976. Often it did before that time. Two bathrooms, a kitchen, foyer and laundry area where I installed Pergo and ceramic tiles

I have been the metal trades for well over 50 years. At one time I had a co worker that we would build things out of metal. the last time I worked with him I went to his homes and he had a safe much like the one in this video. He had a a portable power saw with a grinding blade on it. (fire departments have them to get into cars along with the jaws of life) He was cutting the back of the safe with it. I ask if he lost the combo he said no it's not my safe this guy brings me safes and pays me $500. I cut the back of them open and don't look inside. That was the last time I had anything to do with him. But if you buy one of these portable saws or even put a grinding stone on a circular saw it would be so much easier than paying cave man with a hammer. just be careful the blade can explode.
Well that was quite a fun journey (at least for me bc i'm not using a sledge) and you got to show more nice people in Otter Creek ✨️😉

Would a saws all ? Cut the bolts on any safe. I don’t know about those tools other than watching my ex-husband cut a car up! It worked.
