I take it this cant be done during business hours as it will impact VMs? Would it be best to shut them down? Then do the update? That's what I am thinking. Unfortunately it cant be done during work hours. :(

HI Niyas , Good Afternoon I was able to upgrade one ESXi from ESXi 5.5 to 6.5 HP ProLiant Gen9 , trying other ESXi host which is running on HP ProLiant Gen8 . As the Upgrade was stuck at 44% in between ESXi server is showing as disconnected . Could you please check & suggest your inputs . Thanks
This can't be done via Boot from SAN environment though correct? Wouldn't the existing fiber have to be detached, leaving only the boot lun accessible? How does VUM know which naa.*** to install the ESXi upgrade on?

If we have Full DRS feature active and with 5 host in cluster so to update Vcenter we need to make DRS put on manually or Full automatic

It depends how you are going to upgrade, if you are doing through upgrade manager then it will take care of that.
