Great tips. I do all the things you mentioned. I agree that charging $10 extra for early check-in is nickel and diming. Comments about lighting in bedroom are right on, but I add night-table dimmers for each lamp. Also, install warm color temperature and good quality LED bulbs. All lights in my entire place are on dimmers too.

Thanks for the video. Being from Madrid, I must say that the water problem was just from the apartment or the building. We have no issues with water temperature, luckily we do have multiple cold showers during the summer :)

Why do you think a blender is so important? I have a guest suite as part of my home -- fully independent one bedroom apartment -- with what I think is a well-equipped kitchen. But there is no blender. Would a blender be nice? Yes. But it didn't make the list of critical for me. And I've had "well-equipped" comments in my reviews. I know some people want to make a smoothie for breakfast.... But you really think it's that's wanted?

I think a blender is important yes. If you're already an awesome host with a nice space, it's not going to hurt you nor going to make you. But I'm not here telling you the minimum you can do to get by. A blender would def help and would def not hurt. So that makes it important.

I don't agree with the blender, it is not must have but nice to have. If I'm the guest, I need a coffee maker in the morning. Or something to make hot drinks.

A blender is definitely a must-have for monthly stays. Over 50% of people use them, an estimate, making it such. Coffee maker, yes. No arguments there.

I didn’t realize a blender was important for longer term stays! Plan on adding them to each of our homes! Thanks for the info!
