What an interesting guy. He is, more than anyone I have ever met who has accomplished anything, absolutely confident in his opinions. Most people who are accomplished are actually quite open to the possibility that they are thinking about things incorrectly, but not Mike. Of course, my experience is from Silicon Valley where we do difficult things, not stuff foam into bags.
Another interesting thing is how often he calls questions and people stupid. Some say he calls questions he doesn't like stupid, and that may be the case. It may also be the case, however, that he considers any question he thinks he knows the answer to stupid. In other words, he doesn't understand that different people have different information.
Thirty years ago, a guy like Mike Lindell would just be the quirky CEO of a pillow company, but in the age of the internet, his beliefs have been elevated to the level of national discussion and he has been carried right along with those beliefs. I wonder if he looks at the coverage he gets and then uses that coverage to reinforce his belief in his own importance.
