Even if Antony was bought at 25M , it would have been an atrocious signing . ETH worked with him and should have known about his strengths , weaknesses and ability to learn. That shows ETH is incompetent , plus letting Degea go for Onana is another sackable offense.
The problem is the recruiters seem to think Eredivisie is similar to EPL. Antony did well in a lesser league. It was the same issue with Depay and van de Beek.
A lot of Dutch players went from Eredivisie to EPL and did great. Van Persie and Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jaap Stam, Gini Wijnaldum. Just to name a few. Depay was very young and is now 2nd on the all time topscorers list for the Dutch national team. Donny should’ve never gone to United since Bruno plays in his spot. Watch him quickly become a good player again in Bundesliga. United has too many injuries and the team is lob-sided as a result. Casemiro being gone being the biggest problem.
I think its important to note that Manchester United had the opportunity to buy Antony earlier that summer. They decided not too, and waited until last minute because the season had started and had no RW. Still shows no real structure to signings or ANYTHING AT ALL.
Indeed and even worse he had at least 4 better wingers than him in Greenwood, Diallo, Sancho and Elanga. Plus playing any Martial, Rashford, Fernandes or Pellistri would provide more than Antony Had to pop back for an edit cause I forgot about a rather unknown being available also called Cristiano Ronaldo.
I feel sorry for eth but cus that signing is labelled under him as a terrible waste of money when it was really the club instead who sonehow effed up a 35-40 mil Euros deal to 85 million-90 mil pounds. Antony was never worth that much.

I actually dont think hes a winger. He doesnt have the pace or dribbling. His first touch is brilliant, he can do little flicks, hes got a wand of a left foot. He should be an AM.
United fans and the board didn't realise that the football last season was terrible as well but they got bailed out so many times by Rashford having a fluke season and De Gea making match winning saves
Msn Utd want wingers but are not making bids for them. Chukuweze went to Milan. Bailey went to Villa. I am sure they did not make a offer or even asked if they were available. Even Doku joined City without any interest from Man Utd.
EtH clearly overrides all decisions pertaining new signings! The fact that he decided against Ralf Rangnick being a central figure for recruitment was a huge red flag! Rangnick, despite his awful coaching was absolutely fantastic in analysing, dissecting and pulling potential solutions to the clubs problems.
You can look at teams 2 ways, the collective 11 or the individuals. Time and time again a team like Luton can drag top teams to the wire, if not beat them, but individually there is nobody a top team would sign. That's because they have what most of the teams in the league don't have, United being the prime example, which is desire, determination and everything else you would want from your club. The problem then becomes you rely on individual skill for moments in a match to save a win or a draw and Garnacho has been one of those players, McTominay in a few games too and Bruno at the start of the season. But that is never ever going to be good enough. So we can't come on here and say we need a new winger or a new keeper or a new central midfielder, because they're just replacing cogs in a broken gearbox, the entire club and team needs a retrofit. We need 2-3 defenders & 2-3 midfielders. We have some great talent that needs games like Amad, Hannibal, Pellistri, but like Garnacho, you're never going to get them to this level until you play them. I'd rather 2-1 to Forest seeing young players make mistakes and learn than watch Rashford stroll around counting his 300k a week or Antony being the biggest fraud since Madoff.
As a Chelsea fan, I applaud this comment. It can apply to my team as well unfortunately as I'm not sure the players we've replaced our home growns with are any better. I'm sure many United fans would prefer to have Elanga back over Antony
I agree with most of what you said, except the parts about Bruno and Antony. Bruno has created the most chances in the PL this season (32), except for Trippier (33), and Antony absolutely has that desire and determination that you mentioned, but like you said, United are less of a team, and more of a collective of individuals. I think a lot of United players do lack that aggressive "grittiness" of not knowing where the next paycheck is coming from though, but it's also that they just don't know their next step a lot of the time during a game, and they end up having to look around for a teammate and thinking about their next step, instead of knowing where that teammate is going to be, like Gary mentioned around 3:20.
"Desire" and "determination" are empty words that people with little tactical understanding use to comment on football. What Luton have is a great understanding of defensive responsibilities, closing the pockets and switching on drifting players. Their compact shape allows them to limit passing options on creative players, forcing them into low quality opportunities.
Shows you the importance of a good sporting director rather than letting your own manager pick their former players. UTD need to realize this to keep up and compete with the Big 6 if they want to contend for the title. Otherwise, they will be midtable at best (from a UTD fan).
@@BOMBADIDILAlso ManU scouting said Antony is valued at 25mils, but paid 85mils instead... How is that work 🤣 Well tbh, he wanted Ajax got all the money in the world because the relationship he got...
The issue with ETH is he has an obsession with names rather than the quality of a player. He was obsessed with Dejong rather than trying to identify similar quality in another player. Pep and Klopp are masters at doing it. They don't buy names. They buy the specific qualities.ETH buys the name instead of the qualities he need.
According to an article in the Athletic scouts recommended Anthony was a £25m player. United played 3 times that, which is madness. Had your pants pulled down on this one.
I said this, that he made his name off the back of the Ajax structure. They set the style of play and handled recruitment. Ten Hag came in over his head and wanted to control everything whereas he has never done it before so to do it at a monster institution like Man Utd is insane. Ten Hag needs sacking for that.
He did. At ajax the players eth bought himseld were reserve players sitting on the bench. Overmars was buying the quality players for the first 11. I'm dutch.
How that man’s not been sacked is beyond me. Spent loads and they’ve got no style of play or plan and his choice of captain has been inspirational. Shocking manager.
Youth football isn't something that can be done to get 7 to 9 first team players especially these days Look at barca it took them years to produce gavi and pedri and fergie was lucky he came in with the best youth team in United history
@@guitarreilly Pogba is the only world class talent in my opinion they've produced since and look how that one turned out. They failed to integrate him in the first team, lost him on a free because of perceived personality flaws, then spent £90m to buy him back for him to apparently be a disruptive influence and leave on a free again.
To be honest i was very surprised when Utd gave McClaren a coaching role given his miserable managerial club record over the five or so years leading up to his Utd appointment.
So glad you pointed out the circumstances around the Antony/Casemiro signings, they really highlight the failings of the recruitment department so clearly for anyone who actually wants to look. The only reason it gets overlooked by people is that Casemiro was decent for a few months.
I don't think the issue was signing Casemiro, it's just the amount and how many years contract they gave him, which they will have to pay him large sums now for a further 4 years, when he will he long past his best. He definitely isn't the issue in what is going wrong on the pitch though.
At least Amad is back but Ten Hag is not dropping his favorite sons. We can't even let Onana go because Ten Hag wants his favorites week in week out even tough they are thrash.
Casemiro was arguably our best player last season; I'd go with Martinez, but Bruno, Varane, De Gea and Rashford did well too, yet Casemiro was in the conversation; I don't know why Casemiro is being given as the poor signing example; given how proven he is and the fact that he's played well most of the time. If you're going to mention Ten Hag signing along with Antony talk about Onana and Mount, although of course Mount has been injured and I've not quite given up on him yet, but I've seen enough of Antony and Onana: they will never be good enough.
Because he cost a ridiculous amount of money (both transfer fee and wages) and Utd will be stuck with him til he's 36. It was a horrendous piece of business and one good season doesn't paper over that. Like Neville said, both Casimero and Real Madrid couldn't believe the amount of money Utd were willing to spend to get the deal done.
You're buying Real Madrid's 31 year old leftovers for 65m to be your starting defensive midfielder. No matter how you slice it, how well he played for a single season, it was just a plainly stupid transfer that no other ambitious club would make. It says everything about how United are run.
A couple of of reasons we lost: 1. Horrible defense - 2 goals scored similarly by unmarked attackers 2. Maino coming off 3. Antony offers nothing, Amad was better 4. Bruno running everywhere like a headless chicken, he needs to be disciplined 5. Eriksen is too slow & predictable to be starting for Man U 6. Injuries- we are just missing too many quality players like Licha, Shaw, Casemiro 7. ETH’s tactics - remember when Ole was blamed for lack of a playing style? ETH’s style isn’t clear either 8. Lack of quality - some of our players can’t even put 2-3 passes consecutively & match them with smart movement 9. I don’t wanna blame Onana cause both goals were by unmarked men but that 2nd goal can be saved by better positioning. Not on him tho. 10. Poor form - while Rashy bagged a goal which is good news but he & many other players aren’t still struggling 4 form like Bruno. 11. Slow Starts - Why can’t we be ones to start games aggressively? Too often it seems we wait 4 the opponents to go ahead b4 we start playing meaningful football, again this is on ETH & laziness from certain players.

What I think has 0:15 happened is ed Woodward was the one over seeing signings with no idea what he was doing. Previous managers hardly ever got their targets and was always 2nd 3rd 4th choice players. We never changed for years, then ed Woodward left and Richard Arnold and John murtough went in a different direction and have allowed the manager to have more say on signings cause 1 they ain’t qualified for doing it and 2 they seen ed Woodward make so many mistakes, and this is why 85 million was allowed to be be spent on Antony cause they listened to the manager. Both Systems have failed massively and we need football people handling footballing decisions with a plan in place to get proper United players in with the right attitude and mentality.
I’m so disappointed in Manchester United. This team really breaks my heart. I was considering purchasing some sport related stocks. Besides who trades the financial market?
The club is really tiring. I don’t know if it’s the management but there’s no consistency. I trade the financial market. Which aspect of the financial market are you referring to?
I’m tired of the club performance. I was referring to the stock market but willing to try out other aspects of the financial market. I made gains from Nvidia this year and got my eyes on Solana. How do you trade?
Nvidia was superb this year. I trade based on the season of the market. It gives me a direction on implementing the right strategies for long or short term. I also trade based on the volatility of the market. Although it wasn’t easy till I came across a mentor who helped to keep me in the market loop. My mentor is Bernard Paul.

Wouldn't be surprised to find that ten Hag favours some specific agents when choosing his signings. He made some shocking ones at Ajax too. Actually the best players he had at Ajax were signings made by his predecessors or youth players who had already had their careers launched by Peter Bosz.
Rangnick your correct would never have made all these purchases. Uniteds biggest mistake was sacking him he would have been the perfect director of footblall. He also wanted to make a lot of good signings for relatively cheap, he was a visionary that got ousted for being too honest with the public.
@@musicmusic6595 I heard on German TV that Rangnick left because Ten Hag refused to speak with him. He didn't see the point in staying in an advisory role if his advice wasn't wanted
The idea is to have two players glued to the line on the left and right and Antony just folds in on himself, this teams fundamental attacking tactic is broken due to a lack of 1v1 chance creatios and thats down to the players and managers, the best way to fix this is to change tactic and look for a better way to control the game this can be done thru posession but this team is de d
Casemiro is very important player, considering there is a shortage of defensive midfielders across Europe, and also I think the third place in the primier league table last season may much attributes to the arrival of Casemiro, cause the goals isn't increased but the conceded is decreased a lot. the only shortcoming is he is to expensive,if the transfer fee is under 50m,and the contract is a little shorter such as 3 years, then this will be the most successful deal among the Eric's signing😂
He was sold by Real Madrid because they actually look at statistics properly, they seen how much earlier in games he was picking up yellow cards leading to the obvious conclusion his legs are going and will only get worse, as soon as he has picked up that first 30 minute yellow he becomes a non entity or worse still he carries on tacking which leads to a red and whoever thought Amrabat who can barely complete 45 minutes in serie A could make a difference in the Prem wants imprisoning.
Its not just the signings made under ETH. Man Utd's signings since Ferguson left have ranged from average to awful. No proper sporting director (director of football) and no decent head scouts are the main contributing factor to that. The best one imo was Daly Blind. Excellent at LB, excellent at CB, decent in DM. Consistent, hard working, good attitude, good ability, no ego.
The transfer of Antony went slightly differently. Ajax did not want to sell Antony as there was not enough time to find a suitable replacement. Antony, however, was determined to leave the club, publicly announcing his wishes and his support for ten Hag. Ajax gave in to Antony, but set such a high price to deter Manchester United from buying him. I do believe that most Ajax fans would agree that a figure of €60-80m (with whatever clauses) would have been more than reasonable for Antony that summer, especially based off his performances in the Champions League in the two seasons before. It was somewhat of a shock to see Kudus go to West Ham. He is a ridiculously talented player that should be playing for a Champions League side, and I am sure that West Ham will see a healthy return on investment. I am surprised that ten Hag was so determined to buy Antony, knowing how good Kudus is (if he was so set on buying one if 'his' players). There was speculation in Dutch media that ten Hag wanted to do Ajax a favour, and doing so by paying over the odds for Antony. Ten Hag would have been much wiser to have spent the Antony + Casemiro money on Kudus (or another winger) and Frenkie de Jong. De Jong was far more crucial to ten Hag than Antony was, and he is a more unique and dynamic player to have, especially if ten Hag had decided on not wanting to play like Ajax at United. That is the part that amazes me. Why be so set on buying Antony, if you do not intend to use him in the same system? It does unfortunately lean towards the idea of ten Hag wanting to do Ajax a favour, and hoping that Antony's talent will come through regardless.
He tried to get Frenkie from Barça. But Frenkie prefers the climate in Barcelona above Manchester. And Frenkie is a Barça fan because of Cruijff. So Casemiro was the alternative. But 70 million euros for a player of 30 years is a huge amount. I agree with you on Kudus and the other points👍.
There’s a silent discrimination in football that has more to do with nationality than race. African players are often overlooked and have a very long and arduous journey to get to top clubs. Their European and South American counterparts are often perceived as being better because of the early exposure they get from the Academy’s etc. Anyone who has their eyes open, knew Kudus was a star.
@bartdoorn9635 I think it was also that Frenkie was interested but Barcelona owed him wages, he'd delayed over covid due to barcas poor financial situation and they said if he left he would forfeit them as they were paying it over the remainder of his contract. They refused to pay the sum up front before he would leave and frenkie refused to leave if Barcelona didn't pay up so no deal could be agreed
Interesting take agree for most part apart from de jong only because we were never gonna get him due to his preferences to sum it up, kudus will leave west ham in a few years or so one of the best clubs in the world, his West ham era is about to be a good run can't wait to see more
Fergie had anderson and the twins as fullback, yet managed to win the league. The team still had passion and hunger for the win, even tho they already won numerous throphies. The additional time after 90 minutes was also called "Fergie's time" because miracle usually did happened as the team never give up. I am chelsea fan, really envy of fergie's champion mentallity squad. The days were gone, we have to let it go, but people still would love to see the warrior spirit in the team.
As a Manchester City supporter I can't believe I'm listening to Gary Neville and agree with pretty much everything that he said there. When it comes to analysis and explaining why things work the way they do, he is unequalled, he is the John Madden of football.... If John Madden wasn't dead!
As a Dortmund fan I can identify with this. Apparently our coach was allowed to overrule the scouting in the summer and we ended up with bang average players.
Ten Hag refused to speak Ragnick if you follow what Ragnick had said on German TV. He would have fixed a lot of issues regarding signings had he been DoF
The strategy is the same, worn record. United were the same with previous coach Solskjaer. Win a match and lose five to six matches, and the team is struggling to book a place in the Champions League. The same thing is happening now with Ten Hag.
We keep saying it’s the same players throwing managers under the bus but we keep ignoring each manager seems too add poor signings to the squad and thus the managers are to blame
I'm not disagreeing. But a possible point to prove you wrong is that plenty of players go to United, who were great at their previous clubs or were wanted by the top clubs, and then they start playing horrifically. It's been happening for years.

The Anfield bootroom didn't need a recruitment specialist. Sir Alex didn't need a recruitment specialist. ETH signed players because a) they were Dutch b) he had them at Ajax. His strategy seems to be throw spagetti at the wall and see what sticks.
People (and Ten Hag himself) have said he can't play Ajax-football with this squad. Since he came here 18 months ago, he signed 16 players. Onana, Martinez, Antony, Eriksen and van De Beek are all former Ajax-players. Amrabat is a former player of Ten Hag. He's got players like Dalot, Evans, Shaw, Mainoo, Amad, Pellistri, Højlund and probably others that easily could play that type of football. Most fans expected him to play that type of football, but he doesn't. We got sold a lie! I get that the club hasn't always given him what he wants, but that is not an excuse. He doesn't have to play Bruno as a 10 when he has Eriksen and van De Beek. He doesn't have to play Rashford when we have all these winger-options. We are once again going nowhere and I'm afraid Ten Hag just isn't the manager many thought he would be, including myself.
But Ronaldo and De Gea were the problem. Especially Ronaldo who scored 26 goals in the worst team he’s ever played in. In the most competitive league in the world. Man United’s whole team has scored 22 goals so far this season. Only the bottom two teams have scored less.
Pep Guardiola would have given 100m to Spurs for Kane that year as a manager becasue that’s what he needed and wanted at the time. He had a competent board telling him it doesn’t fit their strategy to spend 100m on a player with the time he had left on his contract and the age of him. That’s how competent owners work with managers, in every part of a successful club it is a team performance. Sometimes you’ll get it wrong and sometimes you won’t, but to keep getting it wrong over and over and over again and not changing strategy is criminal. Competent boards would have sacked every player Mourinho told them wasn’t good enough. They would have listened to Ragnkicks expertise, but instead they let their employees or should I say “assets” rule the roost and turned on managers instead. Don’t let them do it again before the real viruses are cleared before the manager.
The fans R now th problem like this Comment shows. Kane wouldn't touch United with a barge pole When will Man United fans understand that this IS their level, as considered by Players. lots of clubs have an ancient history as World Class level e.g. Villa, Forest, et cetera. The difference is that other clubs fans Realise that tthey are not at th Level they once Were. In Fact, these clubs are better, because Players coming are not just coming for the money, but for ambitdon
Happened at Liverpool in the 90’s and 00’s. Will happen again, football runs in cycles. Ten hag wanted Antony for 40/50mil at the start of the window (he’s not even worth that)! But the core problem is above him.
Ten hag is the one who also pushed for mount. And he's also the one who got the contract offer taken away from de gea as he was adamant he wanted Onana.....Ten hag is a transfer genius 🤣
Casemiro was phenomenal last season, the main reason we won silverware, done well in the league. Statistically he was the best defensive midfielder in the league, so I don't know why he is going on about a proven world class player, we got him at a fair price. Now Anthony has flopped, that was a crazy signing. Mount hasn't played enough yet to sat he is a flop. Hojlund is clearly a great talent, one for the future. Even Pep, Klopp sign flops it happens, but the majority of Ten Hags signings have been good. Onana is having a shaky start, but there is definitely a great keeper there, he is just taking time to settle. Eriksen was another good signing, he has brought through some exciting academy players.
@jssandhu3581 I'm watching football longer than Gary is alive, he isn't a great football analyst. Jamie Carragher has highlighted his lack of football knowledge on many occasions. Just because someone played the sport at a professional level doesn't mean they know everything about said sport.
As a Liverpool fan I look at it this way... You'll never have another Ferguson.. it's exactly what the owners are trying to do...run the club like Ferguson did. That's why the brought in ten hag, he is a manger who will do as he's told..
Only these media pieces keeping them relevant. Yet we are obsessed with them? We definitely have a notch up of a gear for them post-february-march/in the reverse fixture.
Good point Neville regarding the comments with Sir Alex Ferguson with being a chief scout, seeing players himself from all levels. I’m not sure any of the new managers do that. What better way when the manager sees a player he likes first hand and gives it his stamp of approval.
83 million for Antony was insane, but typical of the club, I can't think of any other club that pay such crazy prices for players and their wages, on the flip side they are also terrible when selling players always letting them go too cheaply.
The fact that they could have had him for something like 45 only makes it worse. But, as usual, they waited too long to the point where Ajax had sold off other assets and no longer needed to sell Antony, hence ramping up the price
How anyone could think there could be a role for "The Wally With The Brolly", Steve McClaren, at ANY EPL club is a mystery greater than the Marie Celeste et al!

Rangnick, despite his awful coaching was absolutely fantastic in analysing, dissecting and pulling potential solutions to the clubs problems.

Awful coaching?? He's been doing pretty good for Austria. United was the problem yet again

I think a lot of United players do lack that aggressive "grittiness" of not knowing where the next paycheck is coming from though, but it's also that they just don't know their next step a lot of the time during a game, and they end up having to look around for a teammate and thinking about their next step, instead of knowing where that teammate is going to be, like Gary mentioned around 3:20.
absolutely!
We've had some bad wingers in our time like macheda, obertan and sanchez but Anthony is the worse for the price we paid.
"Desire" and "determination" are empty words that people with little tactical understanding use to comment on football. What Luton have is a great understanding of defensive responsibilities, closing the pockets and switching on drifting players. Their compact shape allows them to limit passing options on creative players, forcing them into low quality opportunities.
i still remember when jurgen klopp wanted julian Brandt but our sporting director said NO and brought MO Salah and rest is history.

Casemiro´s legs have gone. His performances in early season proved that. We should also not forget his red cards.
A couple of of reasons we lost:
1. Horrible defense - 2 goals scored similarly by unmarked attackers
2. Maino coming off
3. Antony offers nothing, Amad was better
4. Bruno running everywhere like a headless chicken, he needs to be disciplined
5. Eriksen is too slow & predictable to be starting for Man U
6. Injuries- we are just missing too many quality players like Licha, Shaw, Casemiro
7. ETH’s tactics - remember when Ole was blamed for lack of a playing style? ETH’s style isn’t clear either
8. Lack of quality - some of our players can’t even put 2-3 passes consecutively & match them with smart movement
Stopped reading when you called Shaw a quality player.

The best young players or players aged 23-26 who are on the verge of being world class don’t want to come to us any more.
Agree with Kudos but not Dejong. Everyone knows dejong didn’t want to leave Barcelona
Interesting take agree for most part apart from de jong only because we were never gonna get him due to his preferences to sum it up, kudus will leave west ham in a few years or so one of the best clubs in the world, his West ham era is about to be a good run can't wait to see more

Agree 100% with Gary here. The club is in huge turmoil right now behind the scenes.
The Anfield bootroom didn't need a recruitment specialist. Sir Alex didn't need a recruitment specialist. ETH signed players because a) they were Dutch b) he had them at Ajax. His strategy seems to be throw spagetti at the wall and see what sticks.
Casemiro.. Mount.. Ronaldo.. Hoijlund..
Weghorst, Antony, Malaccia, Martinez, Onana but I get your point.@@jayd.o.t
@@jayd.o.t Mount played in Holland, Hoijlund signed with under Ten Hags family. Cr7 was bought under Ole.
@@kase121 ah Okay
Don't forget his obsession with Frenkie de jong
Ralf Ragnick we have forgiveness to ask of you.
He does have to play Bruno and Rashford unfortunately.
@@zinedinezidane4771 Unfortunatly, I think you are right.
Which means we will not go anywhere.
Neville knows his stuff
Excellent summary of United’s problems by Neville.
Everyone's fault apart from the players and manager 😂 . Yeah excellent summary 😂
Spot on they are shocking signings
But Ronaldo and De Gea were the problem. Especially Ronaldo who scored 26 goals in the worst team he’s ever played in. In the most competitive league in the world. Man United’s whole team has scored 22 goals so far this season. Only the bottom two teams have scored less.
ETH needs to come to the realization that Antony is sunk cost and move on accordingly, the sooner the better.
I agree with Gary. Times have changed. It was manger vs manager in recruitment. Now it’s a world of DOF’s vs ten hag.
Eric Ten Hag knew Antony from his Ajax days. This one is on him
Wish I could blow that kind of money at my job on a vanity purchase and not get the sack.
And Onana
As a Liverpool fan this result as made me laugh thank you forest
Don’t let them do it again before the real viruses are cleared before the manager.
no spurs said no. they were ready to pay, spurs not ready to sell.
Well said TBF sir!

That's a good idea Gary, move the posts for Anthony! 😀
ETH has signed as many flops in 2 seasons as Pep and Kloop have in their entire tenures
Gary Neville knows more than u mate. U have no clue
@jssandhu3581 I'm watching football longer than Gary is alive, he isn't a great football analyst. Jamie Carragher has highlighted his lack of football knowledge on many occasions. Just because someone played the sport at a professional level doesn't mean they know everything about said sport.
Spot on Gary Neville. Well spoken.
As a Liverpool fan I look at it this way... You'll never have another Ferguson.. it's exactly what the owners are trying to do...run the club like Ferguson did. That's why the brought in ten hag, he is a manger who will do as he's told..
They are just incompetent
It's that simple
All they need to do is hire a top DOF
Only these media pieces keeping them relevant. Yet we are obsessed with them? We definitely have a notch up of a gear for them post-february-march/in the reverse fixture.
Good point Neville regarding the comments with Sir Alex Ferguson with being a chief scout, seeing players himself from all levels. I’m not sure any of the new managers do that. What better way when the manager sees a player he likes first hand and gives it his stamp of approval.
The DOF should be in charge of signings not the manager /coach
Erik Ten year contract please🤪
Very right Garry Neville about the price of Antony and style of play. Very honest.
Their 0-0 at Anfield was their best result all season.
We get to play them in ' their fortress' again this season
Rashford looked pretty happy at the end...almost like his goal lets him off the hook with Utd fans for once.
I’m alright jack
83 million for Antony was insane, but typical of the club, I can't think of any other club that pay such crazy prices for players and their wages, on the flip side they are also terrible when selling players always letting them go too cheaply.
The fact that they could have had him for something like 45 only makes it worse. But, as usual, they waited too long to the point where Ajax had sold off other assets and no longer needed to sell Antony, hence ramping up the price
Gary's face at 8:54 sums up Man Utd.
These 3 brazilians Raphinia,Antony and Richarlison are just flashy players for both country and Club.
It’s a myth that all Mahrez could do is cut in, he had an ok right foot and he’d often go on the outside because they were scared of him cutting in
Gary “at this moment in time it’s the glazer’s fault” Neville
How anyone could think there could be a role for "The Wally With The Brolly", Steve McClaren, at ANY EPL club is a mystery greater than the Marie Celeste et al!

Casemiro is literally our best signing in 10 years. I think his right about Anthony in a sense , it's a confidence issue but jamie trying to scapegoat him is crazy. How haven't they said anything about the scott change? He was at fault for both goals
Antony is not an 85M player period. That's the criticism. If they paid 20M for him, there would be far less criticism.

I don't personally think sacking Erik ten Hag is going to solve anything. The squad at Manchester United has never felt right in several years, with players who I don't think are good enough quality, play too selfishly and also have not gelled as a team. It's a long term project and I think a lot of the team needs changing.
