Deuteronomy 29:7-8. “This place” is Moab and they smote them and took their land (Moab). And I gave it inheritance to Reuben. Gad and half tribe of manassites.
Numbers 21:25-26. Israel took Moab’s land.
Numbers 21:31-33. Israel dwelt in all the cities of the amorites.
Time and time again it says whole groups were smote and destroyed
