- What does it mean to be born again? How are we to become a new creation? Do Jews proselytize? Do Jews seek to convert gentiles? What do converts have to do with Torah? Was Ruth a Jew? Messianic Gentiles? Jew and Gentile one in Messiah?
The Aliyah a Day is an in depth daily study of the weekly Torah portion (from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) according to the daily readings. In Hebrew, these books are known as Breishis, Shemot, Vayikra, Bamidbar, and Davarim. Aliyah means to ascend in Hebrew. Rabbi shares insights to the Torah portion from ancient Jewish sources which include the Talmud, Midrash, Zohar, Rambam, Rashi, Rabbeinu Bachya, Ramban, and many other commentators.
The Rabbi explores these insights through the prism of emunah (faith) in Messiah Yeshua. Join the international class exploring the Law of Moses; highlighting relevant concepts for daily living!
Your generous donations keep the Aliyah a Day going out to the world! Text to Give: (817) 859-6613.

Baruch HaShem, may the Ahavat Ammi (Love for my people) grow. We forever give praise and thanks to HaShem Who has given us Yeshua (ישוע), the Rock of our lives (Tzur Chayeinu / צור חיינו), the Shield of our Salvation (Magen Yisheinu / מגן ישענו)! He is the Messiah (Moshiach / משיח) of Israel!!
Thank you Rabbi to teach and explain truth of bible
This was AMAZING! It TOTALLY brings to light John 4:22! I am always blown away with all that is new I am learning! 🙌
Baruch HaShem! Thank you for watching.
All you have said makes sense. Much confirmation inside of me. I've battled for 3 years with this drawing in my Spirit towards Judaism and what Yeshua truly wanted for me. I look back on my life, my views on the Jewish faith were much in contrast to my views now and how HaShem has turned everything around in the last 9 years. Where to from here is my current dilemma. All around me are churches that I don't feel at home in anymore. Please keep my "fellowship " issue in prayer. Need a Mishpocha.
I can relate! ❤
Michelle, you're not alone! We feel very alone! Rabbi is an excellent teacher. So thankful. I know conversion is the next step. Waiting for doors to open to go. Hang in there, Hashem needs us all!
Shalom and thank you. Receiving Torah daily as if it were the first time at Mnt Sinai.
Seeking truth you can move through many different religions before you find the one that resonates truth. Then you know you are ready to convert. Baruch Hashem for the truth seekers
Very true
Conversion makes sense now. Thank you!
Baruch HaShem
So Yitro was the embodiment of the nations. That is quite deep.
Yes Rabbi...I have learned a lot today... I'm listening a day late... but nevertheless... I'm here... it's a lot to take in... so I've saved this lesson... will go back and listen again... Toda...
Happy tu bishvat
On the morning of 9/16/2022 after finishing praying the Amidah I felt HaShem say, “If you are actively pursuing Torah, you cannot be a Christian” - speaking to me because after following the Ancient Path I never knew what to call myself, especially when my family asked if we were still Christians after we stopped participating in Christmas (Christ Mass - Catholic).
Yes, well, that is because Christianity was a made up religion very loosely based on the gospels. So the answer for you is the answer for Jethro, Ruth, Cornelius and even Abraham. Convert and be a Jew. We can help you with that.
Have you converted yet? Wondering 🤔
Not yet. Still praying Amidah daily and currently studying Nehama Leibowitz Torah studies. Obviously, still walking down the Jewish path, calendar & moedim.
@@eandjbyrne5784 I'm glad you shared. Shabbat shalom.
Shabbat Shalom and Chodesh Tov!!
Having to rewatch but most grateful for all you do ❤️❤️🔥🔥🌹🌹
This is deep, I am going to have to listen a few more times for all this to sink in. Todo rabah for this deep and inspired teaching. Love the comments here as well BTW. So cool to see the engagement.
Thanks for listening
Wow I like your content but you missed literally the most important part of the Christian water Baptism.. the single part that matters the “Rebirth” happens the moment the Holy Spirit enters you … not the moment you get dipped, not the confusion oops I mean confession ! The confusion is later when people are baby talking and saying it’s tongues and you are like uh … yeah I ain’t doing that you look ridiculous ! Anyway the Rebirth only happens if the Holy Spirit enters you …. I was baptized twice and never felt anything so I questioned then I started digging deep in the whole “Revival” and it’s miraculous happening immediately after a hypnotist saw how much he could make off the Church in and bang ! He’s a born again preacher ! There was revival anyway you never mention the Holy spirit in your description of Baptism and rebirth… why ?
Brice, in order to be crystal clear, we are not xtian and we absolutely deny the validity of “the church” and the pagan jesus. I just want you to know where you are. We are Jews. We practice Judaism and we believe in the God of Israel. The church and everything about it is falsehood.
As for the Holy Spirit…this is the Shekinah which is an emanation of HaShem. And yes the rebirth absolutely happens when one enter the waters of the kosher Mikvah - NOT the Roman / green bath tub (baptism) but the kosher Mikvah. The Shechinah is there because He (HaShem) is the Mikvah of Israel.
Hope that clarity helps.
Happy Tree New Year!
Same to you!
The most important event in the history of Judaism - the giving of the Torah - is named after a convert. Selah.
I believe that even the names of the books of the law of Moses, in order, say this: In the beginning (bereshit), these are the names (shemot), that were called (vayikra), in the wilderness (bamidbar), to speak to the nations (devarim)
I don't have my books in front of me, but am I close??
Thanks for addressing the "born again" concept again. Can you give me some specific Jewish resources that address and discuss that concept of being born again meaning to convert to Judaism? I've looked and couldn't find any. I know one Jewish Messianic Rabbi I mentioned this to a while ago and he said it's nonsense, it simply means a persons spirit is made alive. Which I don't disagree it does mean that, but it makes sense to me that you are also right, and the spirit being made alive would naturally lead to them wanting to convert to Judaism, leaving behind paganism and christianity, and embracing Judaism, Torah etc... So it would be great to have some reliable Jewish resources that confirm this idea. Toda raba
Look at Yevamot 46 a - 47b (Talmud). A lot to wade through, but it clearly talks about conversion. Other than that, there a lot of books that do the same. One good book is "Who Was A Jew" by Lawrence H. Schiffman.
I am messianic but I want to become jew that I said to Adonai maybe some day I will find someone who help me to covert ameen
Hi Ravi, I have a question if this is what it Means to be Born Again", why does he in John 3:3 tells Nicodemus, and Nicodemus doesn't understand it... he is a pharisee well learned man in the Jewish ways... and he says how a man can being old again return to the womb of his mother... help me understand.
I believe that Nicodemus was being coy which is a common Jewish method. This is why Yeshua said that He was surprised he didn’t understand. Nicodemus was just looking for deeper confirmation and clarity.
reish, vav, tav, add up to a numerical value of 606.
Add 7 Noahide already given and you get 613.
A lot of rebuke by the Mashiach to His fellow Pharisees was their failure to bring in the lost.
