    now you really smashed it. I had to watch it over and over to understand the Mickey effect when slicing the cupcake. I was like she put circle over a ball and it turns up as a Mickey draw, how is that possible ... Anyways, its quite simple and very very very good one...

    I though you were going to pre bake the mickey shaped cakes and then insert them into the vanilla cake batter. The way you've done it is genius :D

    Hi helen it is sugar ground to a fine powder and usually mixed with a small amount of cornflour to make it flow and not clump in the packet.

    hi sheetal yes cadbury chocolate is tempered but you need to melt it in a way that keeps it in temper or you can use compound chocolate that does not need tempering (ingredients will have vegetable oil) there is a vid on tempering on the channel

    Hi SprinklesFairy, the cornflour makes the crumb smaller and softer, you can make the cake without it but it will be more dense.

    Hi Liyah Nguyen, I just baked another batch from the recipe on the website to check all the quantities I typed in were correct and I have light fluffy cupcakes, not hard on the outside with mickey in the middle of them. The mickey shape will not change in the oven so you need the ball very round and the crown a nice donut shape. Make one on the bench and cut it in half so you get an idea of size. If your oven is fan forced then a little lower than 350 should be good.

    Hi ShanonOkazakiChan, great suggestion, I am not sure if you would be able to roll and then make into a circle for the crown bit if the mixture was chilled, the ball bit would be possible.

    I made these a while ago and they are so good! A bit heavy, but everyone loved them! It was the first time i made cupcakes and brownies from scratch so it was one BIG mess, but so worth it! I did make the cupcakes without the brownie for easter and they taste even better! I think i'm gonna stop buying box cupcakes and make these all the time! Thank you for this great recipe, Ann!

    hi marwaomar90 to make a shape that can be seen from any side you bite into it from it needs to be a symetrical shape so a number 2 would not work for that. But if you click on cake decorating tutorials in the description belwo the video and watch the one direction cake you could use that method to put a 2 inside a full sized cake.

  • @HowToCookThat
    @HowToCookThat  11 лет назад

    Hi kaleidoscopicmid5, as you said the slice would only have half a face. I did actually try making it so each slice on a large round cake had the face (with 3 long snakes put into a large ring) but the ring for the ears would not stay in place

    Hi Mausschnuppel, different countries do or do not use cups to measure ingredients. So quantities are given in cups as well as grams and ounces. So for example with the milk if you have a set of cup measures use 3/4 cup and add 2 more tablespoons. If you do not have cup measures then just use a measuring jug to measure 220ml of milk. Does that clear up the confusion?
