Dennis Rodman Defense on Michael Jordan - 1991 NBA ECF

  • Rodman only defended Jordan for a few isolated possessions in the 1991 ECF. Like the previous 3 series, Rodman had moments of success but was bested by Jordan most of the time.

This clearly shows dennis and michael had a mutual respect for each other since the pistons days... this is the first time i saw michael helping an opponent get up!! His usually is vicious towards an opponent, but he really does have a soft spot for dennis...

Dennis Rodman would not have a gold medal in ANY Olympic sports, including basketball since he didn’t make the dream team. Frankly, he wasn’t even good enough to make the olympics in his best sport. He was a good athlete, not an Olympic athlete.
What do you picture Dennis Rodman doing in the olympics? Beating Carl Lewis in track? Or are you talking Winter Olympics. Skiing?
You know, people specialize and train for years in each individual Olympic sport. You think Dennis Rodman would win all Olympic events? He would not qualify in anything.
You don’t need to answer these with questions btw, just want to demonstrate that your comment was stunningly idiotic.

Back in the 2000s i remember that it was the end of the local stars era in Costa Rican football, (don't worry, what I'm going to say ties into this video at the end).
What i mean by local stars, is that most great players stayed in local teams, they spent all their careers in their beloved teams, so personal rivalries were a thing back then, you really felt passion the colors of your shirt!
Since most great players didn't have offers from outside, they became icons of the fans, and when the 2 biggest teams of the country faced, it was a classic, it was actually called "the classic", and you could expect to see war and hard fouls in a classic, the fans went crazy and the players took it personal.
After Costa Rican players began to be marketed in Europe and Asia, the stars didn't exist, the commitment to the team was never the same, the great players migrated between teams every 1 or 2 seasons, it was rare to sign a contract for longer than 3 years.
That very same passion and physicality is what i see in these late 80's and early 90's Basketball matches, it's just a more engaging experience when you see guys having small fights in the court after going for the ball with all they had, both physically and mentally, being clever is part of the game, but the brawls made it even more exciting!
