For even better fuel economy, do not put it in AWD. It's not needed for this time of year and 9/10ths of the time FWD w/traction control will be safe the majority of the time. That would push the average to 28-30 mpg. Check the tire pressure too. At least the numbers were hand calculated and not solely relied on the fuel display.
Hi A Motorist, the Outlander features full-time Four-wheel Drive. The 4WD button is simply to switch between other Four-wheel Drive modes, and hence cannot be switched to 2WD.
Older 2007-13 Outlander had a 2wd, 4wd auto & 4wd lock switch. However after 2014+ the 2wd mode was replaced with 4wd eco, which pretty much is FWD until a wheel slips. I guess too many people forget to switch to 4wd auto once rain or snow fell, which is why they did that.
I have a 2018 model and according to the official website, when switch to ECO AWC it will be FWD and when the sensors detect snow or rain, AWD kicks in.
Well Problem is in our country's capital! Dhaka! In here almost all vehicles have a milage of 5km/L!!! All because of traffic congestion! In this mega city the traffic problems have become more worsen!!! We tested this Mitsubishi Outlander.....It gives us only 4.5km/L!!! No kidding!! That's the truth in our city!!!!!! That's why those who brought vehicles like cars, jeep, suv etc.....they all had to use gas as fuel which only reduces the costings but ended up damaging the engines!!! Also having two gas tanks in a car.... it's like live bomb!! But got no choice........Sad reality!!
I can't believe that. I have a 2017 2.3 litre diesel Outlander and it gets 8.5 L/100km in mixed driving. I get 6's on motorway only. It's a pretty chunky SUV, all in all.
Will you do an Outlander PHEV MPG (or the electric equivalent) as well?
Thanks mate, thanks for all the info and your time 😊
I came here for mpg information but got class on maths.
Lmao foreallll
The biggest question I have is whether A/C was turned on or off the whole time?
I have the same problem with my outlander 2020 when I turn off the heat I continue to feel it, same for the ac
Debating between Venza hybrid, rx350 lexus and outlander phev??? 🙄🙄

4:30 I would hate it when somebody parked that close to my back bumper!
Hello, by highway you mean steady speed of 70 Mph? thanks in advance
Compared to CrV, however Outlander cost more fuel ?
Thanks very helpful!
Why were you in 4wd, thought you would only need that driving in snow or going off-road.

How much km per liter
In your opinion which suv that that has 7 seat availibilty is best on gas. I'm looking for a suv for family
You should have a look at the Mazda CX-9. Here is the fuel economy video for the CX-9: ruclips.net/video/ntxlkw4WF2I/видео.html
in what country are you located?
Which is more fuel efficient, eco awd or normal driving?
Technically, Eco AWD driving should be more efficient. We didn't have a chance to test out the car in other driving modes.
Your lucky you don't live in Vancouver where gas is at 145-150 on regular gas
plz can u check eco mode with out 4wd how economic is that.
