I sold the gear I was tripping over / didn't want any more, and used only that money to order a RED Komodo, Sony A7Siii, and lenses. I highly recommend "cleaning out" your gear closet once a year. P.S. I kept *all* of my favorite lights. Just got rid of stuff I didn't use, and didn't have room for. I'm excited for the next season!
Thank you very much! I just organized my drawers and I use couple of iPhones boxes that I had in the closet to organized cables and small things! Thank you for the idea!
I have an IKEA desk that lets me hide all of my cables so neat. I also have multiple drawers in front of it to keep accessories like cables, ND filters, hard drives etc
I leave my camera equipment in the bags that I usually carry them in because I'm scared of getting dust on them. Does anyone leave their gear open like her?
I’m a very organized person because my studio room is where I do most of my filming. But when it comes to my closest I have a bunch of boxes with nothing in them. Why do we keep boxes. It’s hard to toss them out. I always say it may be worth more when selling if I have the box but never actually sell my stuff 🤣🤣😂 Great organization shelf kitty!!! 🐱
I really like my Moonman. Its transparent and holds alooot of ink. Its also really smooooth. I have a old school Sterling Silver Parker that Brian's dad gave me. He said its like 50 years old but I don't take it out of the house. Im scared to lose it. I really want a Mont Blanc Monroe. One day
@@atolavisuals nice choice. I use a Pilot Vanishing Point for my normal 'boring' inks, and a TWSBI 580 for all the fun colourful stuff and Uni note taking.
don't beat yourself up on buying plastic if it's something that's reusable and nondisposable. disposable plastics are bad for the environment; plastic things that you plan on using repeatedly for years are totally ecofriendly
What's with the plastics shame? You'd rather chop down living, breathing trees or suck up million-year old plant and animal remains? What seems more environmentally friendly to you? Both are recyclable. BTW, "plastic" bags were created as the environmentally friendly alternative to paper bags. Google it and let it sink in.
Best way to hang lights stands is to go on Amazon and buy pipe clamp racks. You'll get 3 for about 50 bucks. They work amazingly well for light stands! I have 3 in my studio (I'll be posting a video on it soon). You will also need molly screws that can hold 159Lbs. Let me know if you want links to what I bought. Good luck in the new place, Kitty!
Thank you for this video. Love the battery in/out box idea! I'm curious if you or anyone else finds that your cameras and lenses get dusty leaving them out in the open on display like that? I like the look but worried about the dust. I live in AZ so dust is always around!
The power box the current set up is kind of dangerous if one of your batteries ever catches fire, you could do a medicine cabinet on the wall with a power strip inside - I do this with an old med kit made of metal so it's fire proof

Have you tried looking at tool racks for holding shovels, rakes, etc from a home improvement store? Have you tried bongo ties or velcro for cords? Cost is fairly cheap has multiple non-video/photos uses and last a decent amount of time.
Also, for you battery charging station consider getting the white or brown pegboard from ikea. You can mount every charger on it and even that small box with the little dividers in it can be mounted on it sideways.

I love the set up with the toilet paper rolls easier than just duck taping or using Velcro
You need a charging wall like Becki & Chris!!
I use toilet paper rolls all the time for organizing cables...you can wrap tape around them to make them stronger too.
i have a power station desk with velcro on the chargers, and i have all my batteries on there , also i put peli cases under
