I had a good strong cell signal for about a few minutes last week while camping & metal detecting in the middle of the Arizona Desert when I caught your video Keith. Thanks but no thanks, I’ll stay in the warm desert sunshine over the white stuff up north anyday😂
4:12 i imagine there were some colourful words said about that truck that really had to get in front of you just to turn and slow you down even more just so he could get coffee :P that mcdonalds remodel looks really drab and boring . 7:18 its sad the minimum effort people will take clearing snow off their vehicles . did you get a lot of wind in your area ? my subaru and honda did pretty well the only issue i had was being so low to the ground they had to plow through the deep snow , that deep snow will suck you in O_O ill take snow over 40 below :D
Yeah, just went out in it to get the essentials done! Just wondering -- have you ever considered going from Johansen to Peger to Phillips Field then Illinois to Minnie St. / 3rd Street / Farewell ??
You should have taken the snow mobile or just taken the day off and gone metal detecting instead. 😁 You are right about about it not mattering what you drive. Experience is much more important. 4 wheel drive helps you get started but is not different when driving or on ice. I see more of them in the ditch than anything because they have the mentality that "I have 4 wheel drive. I can go anywhere."
full support from palmer alaska
Thank you! This makes me homesick for Fairbanks.
nice thx for posting the winter vids, love it, greets from California :)
I like snow but driving in it is scary.. Thanks for the video Keithie, stay safe.
Stay safe and drive safe, dude. As a former Alaska resident in my own right, be very careful during the early winter season.

I do that all the time. Going Peger and than Philips Field, coming from Farmers Loop/ Ballaine.
I would never drive that fast in those conditions !!
Be careful on Farmers loop. It’s pretty icy.
PCSING to wainwright in September
Sounds like you have a burnt out left signal!
Peter van Everdink i replaced with leds
Sometimes they blink fast
I didn't realize that might happen. Perhaps they make a different flasher for LED lights?
That's going to make it difficult to metal detect ! lol
Scary I’ll be worried
Hello from CT! Which city do you think it's better, Anchorage or Fairbanks?
Shellyman Studios
Fairbanks is smaller
I like that , but the winters are worse here
Anchorage has freezing rain right now...
@@keithie6 Oh wow!
@@user-bk1ug5qn6n Lol
Anchorage isnt as bad and as Cold but can still get some snow storms just not as Severe
Looks the same as driving in Vermont.
That's normal for us up here in Wisconsin
"up here"
Lol you mean down there
Does everyone use snow tires there? If so, what brand or model?
Blizzarks
@@LittleChena Top of the line.
