  • In my down time, which is not much, I like to relax by putting together puzzles. And by puzzles, I mean the larger versions, 1000 or more piece varieties, that most people would avoid. Here recently I, with a little help from my family, assembled this 4000 piece Map puzzle. It took a long time and was one of the most challenging puzzles I have do so far. The finished product looked great and we decided it deserved a place on our wall. But how do you keep all of the pieces together? In this video, we will show you how we do it.

    Cool puzzle!😎
Decades ago I glued a MUCH smaller puzzle with Puzzle Glue, which came with a scraper (or brush?) attachment. I’d probably use Mod Podge now too.

I've used the same "glue" on 2 of my wife's puzzles. For a much better finish try this; brush multiple coats in alternating directions. After about 3 alternating coats you'll almost not see the brush lines. I chose to use a good 2" brush and go in one detection per coat, the crisscrossing fills the stroke marks. I bought a frame from a local craft store and it turned out great...we'll be watching for your frame build.

If you do it again tray a brayer 6" roller, or any with about 2" diameter and 6" wide.

Id have considered a counter top type resin coating and framed.
Still, its a good looking result ❤

I imagine the resin might not cause it to curl up as much, and would self level.

Have you ever considered building a puzzle table for doing your puzzles?

Yes and no. It would be nice, we just don't have a good place to put it.

Why not glue it from the back?

I did not feel comfortable trying to flip it over and this was a great second option.
