So what's the difference between Warden and Slayer for Lightning Strike? I'm trying to pick a melee skill that I can do 40/40 achieves on that can be both a bosser and mapper. I know Tyty said it doesn't really matter but I figure there are some substantial differences. The biggest issue I'm finding with PoBs is finding something tanky enough to make up for the fact I suck, I cheesed my way to all ubers and 40/40 last league with DoD and MB playing DD of Chaining so I need something with bulk to survive mistakes and enough damage I'm not doing 10 minute ubers.
@@jlindsay9331 Atleast before, the leveling might be super smooth now with the buffs, we'll see! Either way it's 4-5 hours to maps if you're semi decent :P
Hi bro, I will go with frost blade warden for starter, I want to ask u some advice in the first 3 acts at least, what skill should I use ? Becouse FB is so bad killing bosses in the first acts .
Also the most important thing as melee is upgrading your weapon and using the highest base weapon 2 hander, use the physical dmg recipe if you find a clean base and use the whetstone on them. That's where most of your damage comes from.
I love PoE but i easily get drowned in it;s many details. I dont play it often enough to memorize it all, making me reinvent some wheels over and over again. Shame on me.

Slayer is the safe, possibly smoother gameplay with leech, while warden is experimental but "might" have higher dps if everything falls in line
@@Temsen "might" is incorrect, warden will absolutely smash the damage, we know this already from the numbers. slayer will be safe and tankier though
@@iOxideAUS Alright, still, it's a brand new ascendancy, I'd go for the safe route, but if warden POB seems nice, go for it :)
Also consider that as ranger you complete the campaign with bows, and it’s much smoother than the slayer start.

Balaar has a VOD on his channel of leveling a slayer with frost blades in 3h08m
If you're leveling as melee spectral blades with volley and maim, or sunder with ruthless and cruelty

Use blade trap and make sure to upgrade your weapons with as much flat damage as you can. It's very smooth
