- Last year alone, the Los Angeles Police Department said there were 47 accidents - the most of any intersection in Los Angeles - making it the most dangerous intersection in the city for drivers and pedestrians.

tsmz65 Arminians are always speeding through here from woodman Ave to Van Nuys Blvd and sepulveda Blvd and its on Sherman way which is annoying once they crash they blame the other drivers
For many years , Sepulveda was an excellent way to avoid the 405 , not anymore.

I drive through this intersection often. It wouldn't be so dangerous if people would follow the speed limit, avoid last minute lane changes and stay off the phones.

Seriously I was shocked when I saw 3 car accidents around there within few weeks when I was commuting that area in the morning. one car was literally flipping upside down. certain area definitely has higher accident rate statistically and so wondering why and now it makes sense.

I agree. If people followed road law 99% of crashes could easily never have occurred. Just keep your eyes on the road, follow the traffic signs and speed limit and hope others do the same.

Lol as a SoCal Lyft driver, there are other intersections that are far more crazy. One that comes to mind is the intersection near the Citadel Outlets.
That’s a clusterfuck of a road. The exit street lanes coming from the 5 exit, then eastern st road and Atlantic blvd.

I currently live and work around that area ..bad drivers, always speeding and never have patients. I currently dont have a car and always walk that street. So i always watch where im going and watch cars too...

I lived at the San Regis apartments at that intersection for almost 3 years. Walked to that CVS and the HHC weedshop all the time. Crazy that I never once saw an accident there.

There's that 5 point intersection in Arleta somewhere near the exit of th ed 5 freeway. That intersection is confusing as both pedestrian and driver
Lived right down the street for a couple of years. The freeway exit is right next to it and also a lot of businesses stacked near each other.
Grew up in reseda on a main street it’s been overly populated since the early 90s & what doesn’t help is the lack of law enforcement regulating speeds drunk drivers aggressive clowns etc.
I’m a driving instructor in the area and I try to avoid having student drive thru there lol
From experience, there are many people in Los Angeles that come from other countries who drive and never took a driving course or test.

I'm disabled because of raised grooves on a road in whittier... the road was fixed and the lawyers for the city put the blame on speeding.... not the poor road conditions....I can imagine all the people left broke and disabled like I am because of that intersection. Whittier blvd and Hadley is the intersection that screwed me good....

They've been putting in horrid round abouts everywhere across the nation. I especially hate them at the end of the interstate exit ramps. I always curse out the idiots that designed them when I see one! I'm a semi truck driver and round abouts are dangerous because they are built for cars and don't take in consideration semi tractors with trailers at all. I would have to stop and be extra careful when I went, timing the other vehicles that I didn't hit any car that had no clue that I can't see them as I'm turning at times so they speed up and invade my turning radius. They don't realize that my trailer will cross lines and go over curves on some round abouts. Stupid! Dangerous for me and the motoring public that I am supposed to protect. I've never encountered one while driving a car, there isn't any where I live thank goodness. I'm sure that is better for me BUT I'D KEEP MY DISTANCE FROM A SEMI IF I WAS DRIVING A CAR BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT I KNOW! If these morons start putting in the shitty round abouts in the LA county there are those that will riot and go on killing sprees over it. They won't just deal with it. I used to live in the SF valley I know. The damn place is frustrating enough...round abouts will unhinge people!

There is an intersection in Massachusetts that has no light and only yield signs. I think it 5 or 6t otal lanes crossing it and it gets a lot of traffic. Amazingly there is barely any accidents on that intersection.

I drive to work on Sherman Way and Sepulveda and it is a busy street but people aren't patient because that light only last like 25 seconds and everyone tries to run those red lights.

Get people to start walking or carpool with your friends or just take shorter trips. Also start riding motorcycles to cut through traffic jams. This is a result of everyone and their grandma wanting to drive by themselves 30 miles a day.

Foward 2023 North Hollywood/ Van Nuys streets and intersections are even more dangerous. Closer than streets are a challenge to say the least drivers not paying attention, looking at their smartphones, or driving angry aggressive.

Bruh I live in Van Nuys and super close to that area, I can agree that Sepulveda is hella fucken crowded and dangerous I guess. People do use Sepulveda as a racing track but especially at night when the road is clear, since Sepulveda is kinda wide it is perfect racing track. There’s always car crashes right in front of my apartment and me and my sister always make fun and say that there some type of Brujeria shit happening cuz they always crash in front 😂🤦🏼♀️
People pulling into or out of driveways forcing people to slam on their brakes probably attributes to why they suspect a lot of people “speed”. LA also has some of the poorest maintenance on peoples’ roads. I think everybody here makes valid points especially because in the rain, a lot of people do not adjust for the road conditions and they drive so close to people on city streets, so at a lot of intersections many rear end collisions happen.
