Same thing I thought, I even had botched screws in metal studs where I pounded the crap out of the screw till I could spackle the hole flush, outta sight outta mind, pay me !!
Good basic trick. Always makes me roll my eyes when a landlord refurbs a place and the drywall anchors are still there, little painted rings that match the wall. Like, how lazy can you possibly be?
After having just pulled my first anchor out, I now realise it depends on the type of anchor. Thank you for the tip. I pulled it out exactly as you did but only a few milimetres. Then I got a metal saw and cut one side and lo and behold it came out as I was pulling it. Turns out if I kept pulling, I would have pulled a big chunk of wall out because it was one of those anchors that spread right out at the back. As it is, hole is now puttied and looking good. So, thank you!
If you can pull it out with needle nose pliers or just enough to cut it off push it through. Using a hammer use a piece of wood or you'll damage the drywall if you pry to hard. Some anchors star out and you can make a nasty hole you didn't need to
Why are you wasting time? Tap it it an 1/8th inch past the face and then fill it. Better quality takes less time. Gives whatever you use a backer. Some people’s kids I tell you
Nah, bad choice. Most of the time that will rip the dry wall and destroy paper. Drill it out with a bit of greater size is cleanest choice, otherwise hammer it in.
I just jam it into the wall and cover the hole with dry dex
I was just about to say that. Work smart not hard

You are more likely to mess up more the face of the wall that way than just pushing the anchor in to the wall.
Also easier to spackle then
I just ruined my wall not only the anchor came out but the dry wall came too.

I use a straight raiser blade to cut it flush
and spackle the hole . Sometimes, I have to recess it a little
I pushed them into the wall further and mud over it.
Tap it in and putty. No need to take it out

Sometimes you have to take them out like this because they just don't always punch through
Worked perfectly, thank you!
I just drill them. Any Suze even close to the anchor
As a woman not knowing how this worked great!! Thank you so much!
Agreed! Woman here and this just worked like a charm. Though I wish I would’ve read the comments to just hammer it in first 😅
Push it into the wall
Pretty complicated-just push it through. ??

Just drive it home

It worked great for me. Thanks for video.
lol why am i watching this useless and possibly bad advice 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You helped me. Thank you!
This worked! Even in wood trim where someone had used plastic anchors that were warped and super hard to get out.
Hammer? I just pull it out with my fingers. No problem.
You just saved my life (not literally)
Dented the hell out of my wall with the hammer. Failed advice
A much easier was is to just put your Philips in the hole and press the trigger, in just a second the bit driver will cut out the plastic anchor.

Why would u waste your time pulling it out????
Better off just recess the anchor a little at mud it.
Why? It just fills the holen you gotta cover. I guess maybe if you wanted to insert a new one maybe..
Smack it through
works well, but I just used a screwdriver to put the nail back. Thanks for the advice!
Thank you!! This saved me!
Probably like 1 out of 25
Or just push it through the drywall and fill the hole
Needle nose pliers
Cut the edge off and use the screw to hammer it in.
Why not just push it in? I can see a giant hole in someone’s future.
Yes just happened
Many thanks dear
Holy cow that’s genius
Push it in.
Thank you!
I need to get the plastic thing off the skrew
Great solve to a small problem, thanks!
My landlord just paints over.
Don’t forget to dent it before putting it
Needlenose pliers
Men are so awesome. You guys are literally artists.
🍄
Thank you for this!!!!
Yeah, just take a hammer and dent it in to the drywall. Then do two coats of five minute.
My screw is what wont come out 🥹
