Also, i definitely need to look into Zinge's flexible ammo belts. I recently did a trial order from them of some wrapped wires and studs and despite being completely scalped by the customs with their taxes and 'administration' fees, i'm definitely wanting to make another order of some other stuff
Those Knight versions look fantastic, it would be great to have them actually weilding a huge sword/axe/mace in the powerfist hand (as silly as that sounds), the shield being underslung looks spot on though.
Thank you - I did attempt this but it was a bit beyond my skill level as not all the fists are actually closed meaning some work with green stuff would have been needed. Thank you for taking the time to watch mate 🙂👍
The angled pauldrons make them look like a mobile and more functional part of the armour. I also think the less exstensive plating over the crotch and tops of the legs makes it look better

Really like this conversion! As someone who both loves and hates the Centurion design, I feel like it really helped. It's still distinctly a Centurion, but many of the issues have been greatly reduced - and without an excessively complicated set of modifications. Regarding the milliput, have you tried mixing it with Green Stuff? I find that combination works really well - as a gap filler, adhesive, and even for casting duplicate parts if you've got any Blue Stuff (or its equally good no-name versions) for casting molds.
I haven’t tried it although I have heard of the technique - I should probably give it a go sometime 🙂 thank you for the kind feedback. It sounds like you were in a similar place to me with your thoughts on the centurions 😄 glad you enjoyed the video mate and many thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙏
@@maddokminis Well, true thanks go to you for making it! The knight build, in particular, is a standout! It actually makes me tempted to return to my old Grey Knights army; though, for the sake of sanity, I should probably stick to my ongoing band of renegades xD
I really like (and have done the same) conversion that Jay ovr at Eons of battle did with his Centurions in his "FIXING the Most HATED Space Marines" video. Its alot more work than this and I can't really recomend it to everyone, but I really do think its the best way to fix the unit and makes them truey massive. I play mine as agressors on 40mm bases. Your method is quite a nice middle ground in terms of the effort needed, not exactly 20% 80%, but definitely alot better than the default way of assembleing the unit :) Really like the default heads they come with tho, really uniqe to the unit. Oh and btw, if you want to reduce how much the miliput "slips",, just pin the parts in place! Means the joint will be alot stronger and should more or less stop it moving around.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts mate. Yes I saw the video you mention and they are very nice but it was way too involved for me personally (especially as I had 15 suits to do) I thought about pinning but in the end decided against as it just added another step and I had lots of them to get through 🙂 thank you for tuning in brother 👍
A chain sword would look awesome but most would be coming up too short I think. Maybe some of the bigger double handed ones would be ok! Thanks for watching 🙏
Regarding the first mod: Centurions are just additional armor a SapceMarine put on. So what you did with the height modification is sawing a Space Marine in half or better stretch his abdomen about a meter :D Nonetheless, I love the weapon modifications! As I am planning to get a squad of Centurions for my Death Watch, I may adapt some of your mods for them as well!
To be fair the firstborn don’t really have abdomens! 😄 I am merely providing a valuable service to the imperium by supplying them with one! 😉 seriously though, the new proportions make me so much happier 🙂 I do hope some of the weapon stuff is useful to you mate and thank you for taking the time to tune in! 👍
Even vanilla Centrurions, while somewhat goofy, still look less silly than Primaris Aggressors and Inceptors, in my opinion. I don't know what one would have to do with them to make them look good.
Well, if you haven’t already, you could always check out my videos that attempt exactly that! Can promise you’ll like them but you may get some entertainment! 😄 thank you for tuning in! 👍
@@maddokminis just watched it! Still not too happy with the whole design idea, but it's already miles better than whatever GW managed to come up with. But Inceptors may be the worst offenders. They're just too chonky and silly to be flying. Maybe if they had regular jump packs... still, their guns...
I wonder if you could get a better close combat weapon for one of these out of the ambot kits, or if one of the genestealer kits has a better sized drill. I've always disliked the implementation of the centurions, but they almost feel like the old space marine/rouge trader/space hulk through second or third ed descriptions of terminators being something that you drove more then wore "bipedal tanks" as a sort of a small end of the demi-titans like the grey knight Nemesis dreadknight. I can imagine trying to do a conversion with this the ambot and the DK to try and make something that looks more like an oversized terminator, maybe with some 3d printed upscale terminator shoulders and a normal size terminator head.
I've found that the sisters of battle paragon warsuits kit has some really nice swords. They scale well with the new terminator models, so may work with the centurian kits? While I like the centurian models, I struggle with the arms - the powerfists with underslung weaponry just look too cartoony. If you were going to replace the arms, what kit would you consider looking too?
Oooh that’s an interesting idea about the swords! I’ll have to look into it 🙂 I do know what you mean about the original arms. As for what could replace them I’m not sure 🤷🏼♂️ maybe some combination of terminator and kataphron sevitor arms 😬 thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 👍
So for me I prefer the original ..the ones that look like they are meant for first born space marines ..it being an exo suit and not another power armour trying to emulate a shiny lanky human shape ....whilst i think those variations could be good for a primaris version ....I won't be converting my 21 centurions. I've seen conversions like this before for them but I'm always happy to see any variations ..just ...you've also now got a stretched marine in Mk7 or 8 power armour ...in the back
I dunno, the centurions seem quite new to me! I still remember the monopose frowny boys from the second edition starter box!!😅 tbf the centurions may be for the chopping block soon! 😱
These are way easier then the way I've been doing them lol and they look pretty good. I've been like removing the chest launchers to narrow the chest, using old terminator legs and adding armor over those and making like servo arms for counts as hurricane bolters. And making them have five fingers. 😂
Wow! Hats off to you for the commitment brother 🫡 as you’ve figured out I’m all for keeping things simple! 😅 thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍
@@maddokminis I overdid them lol... I saw the idea somewhere a while ago. Then decided to make some gun harnesses. But I definitely am having a hard time wanting to finish my squad of 3.
I am not really such a fan of centurions. Mainly because I am a fan of dreadnoughts, and terminators. And I can't see what capability they provide which eother of the other 2 don't. I guess something approaching a dreadnought but without the requirment of a crippled marine?
🤣 yeah sorry about that - I have a bit of a slow turnaround for making videos! 😅 hope you like them mate and many thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
How can you fix what is already perfectly? Jokes aside it’s much more believable than a space marine could properly fit in yours which is my only problem with this kit.
Definitely better heavy Bolter. I'd wondered about a belt feed running behind the model to it's back but outta my conversion league. Edit... just watched the rest of the video. Off to Zinge I go 😂 Also Pity the legs aren't posable.
People do some crazy conversations with the legs but it’s far too much effort for me!! 😄 I hope you get on well with the Zinge belt feeds 👍 thanks for watching!
Being perfectly honest, no they're still unsalvageable. The work you put in is impressive, and i don't wish to take that away from you but there is just something so very un-space mariney about them.
The mould lines on that model are terrible. I didn’t think those kits were that old. But that amount of mould line mashes me think the mould is completely clapped out.
Some of them are pretty bad! Although I’m not actually that bothered by mould lines which is why you’ll generally spot them on my minis. I can only bear to devote so much time to tidying them up! 😅 thank you for watching mate 👍
This whole idea of people trying to make a genetically bulky human ..look the same as a regular everyman escapes me ... If you use the lore from their skeletal and muscular structure ...and understand how that would make a human look ...add the extra organs and black carapace ..fused ribs ...they would look stumpy ...because it's the opposite of tall and skinny ....with thicker bones, more cord like muscles .. I understand the need though ...with the size of terminators now ....
I’m a physical therapist so I’m afraid I can’t look at the stumpy firstborn without sniggering! 😄 more than that though, it’s just about being happy with your own miniatures - the old ones bugged me so I changed them 🙂 thank you for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts 👍

Its alot more work than this and I can't really recomend it to everyone, but I really do think its the best way to fix the unit and makes them truey massive.
I play mine as agressors on 40mm bases.
Your method is quite a nice middle ground in terms of the effort needed, not exactly 20% 80%, but definitely alot better than the default way of assembleing the unit :)
Really like the default heads they come with tho, really uniqe to the unit.
Oh and btw, if you want to reduce how much the miliput "slips",, just pin the parts in place! Means the joint will be alot stronger and should more or less stop it moving around.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts mate. Yes I saw the video you mention and they are very nice but it was way too involved for me personally (especially as I had 15 suits to do) I thought about pinning but in the end decided against as it just added another step and I had lots of them to get through 🙂 thank you for tuning in brother 👍
might to have to buy some centurions just to do the same style of kitbashing and add them to my Howling Griffons,
Go for it! ✊ thank you for watching and for the positive feedback 👍
Those look MUCH better
Thanks 😄 I like to think so too! Centurions are very polarising! Thanks for tuning in! 🙏
Love the knight variant.
Thank you! Yes I’m quite pleased with how they turned out! Thank you for watching and I’m glad you liked them 👍
Amazing job!!! Definitely subscribing and chekcing out the channel
Thank you and I really appreciate the sub! Hope you enjoy some of the other content! 🙏
What grey did you use in this scheme? It looks great! Well done. Awesome conversations
Mechanicus standard grey (rattle spray) - not the paint out of the pot! Totally different colours!! 👍 thanks for tuning in and I’m glad you like them!
These turned out brilliant! Gosh those drills really are silly though hahahahah :D
Yep! 😅 I might have to get me some smaller drywall anchors! Thanks for taking the time to tune in mate 👍
Amazing .verry good and way better if you ask me !❤
Thank you! I’m glad you liked them! Thanks for tuning in and commenting 👍
Looks great. Do you remember what size ammo feeds did you get from zinge industries? Is it the large?
Long time ago but I believe they were large ones yes 👍 thank you for watching mate 🙏
@@maddokminis thanks 🙂
possible alt to the thin swords would be chain sword maybe
A chain sword would look awesome but most would be coming up too short I think. Maybe some of the bigger double handed ones would be ok! Thanks for watching 🙏
I'm surprised no one has used centurion kits to make terminators.
I think some people have done it! Thanks for checking out the video! 🙂
You could stuck like three swords together 😂
Yeah I’m still having a think on what to do to upgrade the swords! 😅
I appreciate you tuning in to my other vid 😄 tbh if you dislike them enough, there is no fixing them! 🙂 cheers man 👍
I wonder if you could get a better close combat weapon for one of these out of the ambot kits, or if one of the genestealer kits has a better sized drill.
It’s an interesting concept, might be quite an involved conversion though! 😅 thank you for sharing your thoughts and for taking the time to watch 👍
I've seen conversions like this before for them but I'm always happy to see any variations ..just ...you've also now got a stretched marine in Mk7 or 8 power armour ...in the back
I’m sorry it wasn’t for you mate but I appreciate you taking the time to watch and share your thoughts 👍
The idea is cool the problem is tbd date of the model release it’s definitely aged now .
I actually love the originals. I like yours better though.
That is very kind! I’m glad I didn’t ruin them for you! 😅 thanks for watching 🙏
I like all the options. In addition, those who have unusual weapons can also have fun home-rules of their own.
Yes absolutely! I’m glad you like them and thank you as always for taking the time to watch and provide feedback 🙏
Make it Imperial Fist and replace the head with Rogal Dorn’s head.
It’s a thought! Which variant tho?! Thanks for watching! 👍
I am not really such a fan of centurions. Mainly because I am a fan of dreadnoughts, and terminators. And I can't see what capability they provide which eother of the other 2 don't. I guess something approaching a dreadnought but without the requirment of a crippled marine?
They definitely divide opinion! I’m fine with the concept, it’s the aesthetics that bug me! 🙂
YES, WE FINALLY GOT CENTURIONS!
🤣 yeah sorry about that - I have a bit of a slow turnaround for making videos! 😅 hope you like them mate and many thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
@@maddokminis no need to apologise mate, im just happy we got it
The hvy bolter does look better
Thank you - 🙂 glad you agree and many thanks for watching! 👍
How can you fix what is already perfectly? Jokes aside it’s much more believable than a space marine could properly fit in yours which is my only problem with this kit.
🤣 thank you - that was essentially my issue with the original kit too! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Definitely better heavy Bolter. I'd wondered about a belt feed running behind the model to it's back but outta my conversion league.
Edit... just watched the rest of the video. Off to Zinge I go 😂
Also Pity the legs aren't posable.
People do some crazy conversations with the legs but it’s far too much effort for me!! 😄 I hope you get on well with the Zinge belt feeds 👍 thanks for watching!
I’ll be honest, I like it, but how can you say you fixed it if it was never broken Centurion are the best models. You cannot change my mind.
I don’t want to change your mind! 🙂 I want to make them look good! 😉😄 thanks for watching mate!
Being perfectly honest, no they're still unsalvageable. The work you put in is impressive, and i don't wish to take that away from you but there is just something so very un-space mariney about them.
That’s fair enough mate. Sorry they weren’t for you but thanks for taking the time to check out the video 🙂
There's nothing wrong with it.
Sorry not sure what you mean?!
