Can you or anyone explain how 227.91 a week for 6 dinners which equals 910.84 a month for only 24 dinners is saving $ at the grocery store? Who is spending over 227.91 on 6 dinners a week. Because it’s supposed to be cheaper than the grocery store. Who is spending more than $900 a month on just dinner and not even all of the dinners. Where are these price comparisons coming from?

I had to take a polygraph when applying for a government job and I will never take one again. They said that I failed a question about smoking weed, which I had never done, and pressed me to admit it. The dumbest thing was that it wasn't even necessarily a barrier to getting the job, they just got hung up on it because they believed I was lying. Never again, especially if it's for something actually important.
@@mrsrock7641 If you want to work for the FBI or the CIA a polygraph is the least of it (your choices are take it or walk). It only happens in cases that require a security clearance, the higher the security, the more thorough the investigation.
to anyone who's had a loved one murdered and the case has gone cold, don't lose hope and don't stop fighting. remember this case when you're starting to feel hopeless.
@@whitebloodismthat’s exactly the reason my best friends case has never been solved. People not wanting to talk to the police and also the police dropping the ball by originally ruling it a accidental death which wasted precious time. Kenneth Wade Felchle aka BJ from Stockton California. Someone killed him when he was just 17 years old back in 2008. 15 years and they still haven’t made a arrest. His girlfriend at the time just found out she was pregnant so he has a son that never got to meet his dad. It would be awesome for someone to do a story on him so maybe his mom and dad can finally get some closer. After all these years it still has the same effect, justice is needed. 17 year old lost his life and nobody would talk to the police.

It's also different if they're regulars. When I was waiting tables I discovered people tip you better when you remember what they usually order. I never knew names, but I knew their face and their usual order. 😂

Mike, I’d like to see a story of Taylor Behl. She was one of the first, if not the very first, person murdered whose case was solved by tracing her social media history. Happened way back in 2005.
I started my podcast a year ago to try to raise awareness & get justice for my childhood friend’s murder Krista Martin in Wichita, Kansas that occurred in 1989. For 30 years it’s been a struggle. However, this episode gave me a great idea. Rebekah’s case was presented well here & championed so well. It’s sad that it takes family, friends & communities to continue a fight for justice but this situation was an inspiration for someone else trying to find justice for a loved one so thank you so much!
I told someone that once and like the wuss he was he promptly had me arrested for communicating threats. 2 years of probation for a first offense so he had to have had some crazy charges
I believe Miranda rights are only given when being detained or actually being arrested. Like they said he was free to go but I always wonder what they would do because if they had a warrant they wouldn't even need to bring that up.
It amazes me that anyone ever agrees to take a polygraph. It's not a "lie detector" because there's no such thing, it's an opportunity for the police to have someone say "I think they're lying" on record so they can detain/question you further.
I am fairly certain I would fail a polygraph test if they asked me questions about known truths. Like my name , age, eye color etc. If they are willing to lie about having DNA evidence, then they would be willing to lie about the results of the polygraph test. The police and their investigators have been known to "find" evidence that they use in court. Sometimes they get the right person, sometimes they don't. Get a lawyer even if you're innocent and think you have nothing to hide.
Agreed, I'd never do one. Innocent or not. Not real evidence, and if you're nervous, can ruin your reputation and make life difficult. And if you pass? "Ahhh he beat the test..he's still guilty! I know it! "
I agree as well. People need to realize that it doesn’t do them good either way; if innocent it’s not admissible in court, and if they don’t pass (but are innocent) then the police go after them and stop looking for anyone else. Too many real crooks get away because some detectives go with what the so-called ‘lie’ detector says. Ugh
I have automatic nervous disorder, I always wonder how weird the results would be if I took one, lol! They just seem so easily misinterpreted, I wouldn’t advise ever taking one, innocent or not.
They are easy to beat. I passed 2 with conclusive scores while not being truthful. It’s an emotion detector. It can be tricked if you are able to basically make yourself panic into fight or flight mode. They need controlled lies for scale. The trick is to put the fear of death into yourself for these needed lies, while being an ice cube for the critical lie. I was able to put myself into sheer terror by force of will and blew the machine off the charts for the pointless lies. Questions like have you ever done something at work you shouldn’t have. Obviously saying no is a lie. I just imagined being trapped in a burning car wreck and really pushed that thought into my head. I started sweating, my head was pounding, I freaked out. Then immediately switch gears and become a robot for the bad lie. I didn’t even think of it as a lie. I told myself it was true and answered with zero emotion. Passed with flying colors twice. It’s a scam. They rely on people thinking it’s some magical lie detector when all it is a glorified heart rate and sweat monitor. Which is why courts don’t allow their bullshit as evidence.
with his past _known_ criminal history coupled with the accusations of being a murderer has me wondering *what kind of shit did he get up to in the Philippines??* i can't imagine he was living there like an angel.
I don't think it happened like that at all.. he had planned it. He lied about why he needed to come inside in the first place. He probably went there to make an advance on her and was rejected.

It's pretty bad when someone's missing, and so is their suitcase, I don't even consider they've left or gone on a trip... I immediately jump to them being in that suitcase, dead. I think we can all agree on this. We've seen it far too often, especially in recent years.
The only reason you’ve seen it “far too often, especially in recent years” is because you binge watch shows like this and then assume it’s somehow more ubiquitous now than ever before.
@lamontcranston8181 I don't bingewatch anything. However, I distinctly remember at least 3-4 bodies in recent years making national headlines. The Randonautica body and Gannon Stauch are just two that come to mind. I never suggested it's more common now, but spoken on very frequently with some high profile cases. To be quite frank, everyone has seen a suitcase being the means of body disposal, whether in the news, social media, movies, or elsewhere. They are meant to carry very heavy luggage and have wheels after all. It's to be expected.
My mother has wore glasses since before I was born. To this day when they are off I have to look twice. Lol. I can’t stand her without her glasses because it just doesn’t look like my mom! 😂
I grew up in Melbourne, I'm a little to young to have actually known Rebekah, but this story was all over town right up to when they finally caught the guy, even had a billboard up in town with her name and face on it asking for any Information. Her body was found just a couple miles up the road from where I lived. I remember the rumors were all so crazy, and everyone kept pointing fingers at everyone else. Thank you for covering this story!
I’ve got some connections in the “true crime” psych world, and from what I’ve been told, no reputable professionals believe the whole “they wanted to be caught” thing anymore. That used to be a prevalent theory, but more research has shown that they just assume they can get away with it no matter what they say. The people who pretend to be relieved that they’re caught are either getting off on the fact that they’re tricking authorities into believing another lie, or they’re trying to take away authorities’ feeling of success by implying that they were only caught because they subconsciously wanted to be.
He was probably spending his days looking over his shoulder waiting for someone to come for him and it was probably exhausting. Also the police picking you up and asking you to interview would look bad if you refused and the guilty would try their best to look innocent
I don't think they necessarily want to get caught, but they want to get clear of it and know they're safe. Like a 'perform for one interview, you never have to think about it or be on alert again' thing.
@@roxanneb8844 no it’s not what I meant to say. It should be a strategy to get the best deal for yourself. Selfish yes but the first deal usually ain't the best but depending on the meat of the case you might get a better one. The American juducal system relies on plea deals and it's sad sometimes because a good lawyer can usually get a good deal but most people basically give up and say I'm guilty I guess. Even if you have a case. Always about the dollars. That's the two tier justice system america has.
He was not blatantly guilty if they had no evidence. Plus lying like that makes the investigators guilty of entrapment and he could possibly get off with the right lawyer.
It amazes me how people continue to talk to detectives AFTER the detective says ,” you are NOT being held , you can LEAVE at anytime!” I’m thankful they do but it still puzzles me. I watch a lot of crime documentaries/videos and interrogations, and one lesson I will take from everything I have watched, is if the detective says to me 'you are not under arrest, that door is not locked, you are free to go at anytime'. Whether I am guilty or innocent, as soon as the detective as finished saying that, I am getting up and leaving!

I've been to Mountain View a dozen times or so over the years. It's an absolutely wonderful place as far as small towns go, with surprisingly open-minded locals and some absolutely gorgeous wilderness, camping and caverns to explore in the immediate area.
I am so, so glad that this killer was caught, and put away for what he did. What he admitted to doing, is just, freakishly savage, and I have a hard time believing that he has not acted out on this type of impulse more than just this one time. I feel so sorry for Rebecca, and how she suffered, and the fact that she was forced to give up her young life, for the sickening, evil, urges of a psychotic killer. The fact that he walked free for so many years is a tragedy in itself. My words are insufficient, but I feel the need to offer my condolences, at the very least. Rest In Peace Rebecca. May all of your hopes, and dreams come true in a much higher place.
I can’t believe that investigators are still using a polygraph. These things are pseudoscience. Here in Belgium they also strip people to the good old polygraph. The outcome of a polygraph is just as correct as if you would ask a person to run around for 10 minutes and then if he sweats he must be guilty. Personally I will always refuse to such a test.
Yeah…I have tachycardia and anxiety and would fail one just based on that. I’d never take one, either! Don’t plan on ever being in the position to need to take one, though either!
@@AlaFrigginBamasame. even tho he was guilty when he started getting nervous about the polygraph test happening right then and there i was like “i would too” lol plans are changing? i’m doing it right now? will they take my medical conditions into account? ahhhh
It's more of a psychological thing, they can use their reactions to the test, or the results, as leverage. Just like they did masterfully here. I am not a fan of cops but this one was GOOD at what he did. Got him to confess on very little/no evidence.
Isn't it pretty much used as a psychological tool to increase pressure on people and make them more willing to give away information. Feels like the moments after getting the result could be among the best for getting suspects to talk in a sloppy, distracted and less-guarded way.

Decades ago I was a military investigator supervisor and a couple of my agents were working a couple small arsons at a fairly remote military site in a foreign country. They developed a junior enlisted suspect who had the nickname "Smoke," supposedly because he was a volunteer fireman in a small town somewhere and constantly talked about his escapades. They interviewed him many times and he always talked to them but never admitted to setting the fires. We finally offered him a polygraph to clear things up and he agreed. But, we had to send him to a larger base in another country where we had a polygraph operator. A couple military police officers went with him. The day of the polygraph I got a call from the polygraph operator, who was a friend of mine. He was laughing so hard I could barely understand him. It seems Smoke showed up at the office there, went into the polygraph room, looked at the machine all laid out, and started confessing. The polygraph operator had a hard time shutting him up so that he could read him his rights. Smoke, who was a skinny little twerp, said he didn't confess earlier because he was afraid of the agents who interviewed him. Well, the agents who interviewed him were named Blood and Savage. The smaller of the two was about 6'4 and was about 240 pounds and had been an all-service wrestling contender. The other one was even larger and had a terrible scar across his face and nose from Viet Nam. Smoke got five years at Leavenworth.
And then you woke up. 09-09-1983 so you're 40. "Decades ago", well, 2 exact decades ago you were 20 and no way in hell you are in any supervising position where you have a position in where you can call "my agents". Named Blood and Savage... really? Go back to your Mc Donalds job. Don't make up bs.
Never heard of this one. Glad justice is finally being served. Imagine how his wife and kids must have felt once they found out why he wouldn't be coming home. Anyhow, thanks for the upload & have a good one.

I've watched so many real life interrogations and i agree.......so many people are bullied into false confessions..... usually because of the many, many hours they have been interrogated for and they just want the bullying to be over, clearly not thinking of the consequences they have just dumped themselves in. hence why the death penalty is a touchy subject thankyou soooo much for a great story as always........love youooo ❤❤😊
I can relate to your glasses issue - I was the opposite after I got LASIK, I ditched them for good as soon as I walked into surgery. But then, I was at -9 with astigmatism and had never even seen myself in the mirror without them. It felt very strange. It took a while adjusting to that stranger in the mirror. 😄
@@graykobain6001 Yes, that's what they told me for years as well. I also have a rather thin cornea (not much material to cut) and large pupils, which made it impossible with regular LASIK. The surgeon I went to does the first cut with a laser as well and that apparently works for lots of cases where it was previously impossible. He said that worst case, I'd end up at -0,75 or so. Coming from -9, that was absolutely acceptable, it meant not having to call emergency services if I lost my glasses and contacts on a hike because I can't even see the ground I'm walking on. I ended up with perfect vision on the left eye, my dominant one, and -0,5 on the right eye. I don't even notice that the right eye isn't perfectly corrected and if I ever do in the future, that'll be an easy fix. I'd definitely check and shop around, this type of LASIK is more expensive than the regular one, and not all surgeons do it, but 100% worth it for me.
I remember the 1st time I saw my cousin without glasses. When I was younger, I thought wearing glasses meant you’re blind so I was so confused the 1st time I saw him without them. I thought his eyes miraculously healed but it turns out he’s just short-sighted 😂

Unfortunately here in the US cops are allowed to lie when questioning people. Even though polygraph tests are not admissible in most cases and you have a right to refuse to take one the cops will try to beat you down by accusing you of trying to hide something. Use these tactics on someone who has anxiety issues or just gets nervous around police and the polygraph can give a false reading.
It's a moral qualm for sure. It has definitely brought many families of murder victims justice... but we have to decide if that benefit is worth the potential risks.
Fortunately the detectives lies have caught so many criminals! Wonderful tactic. If you’re innocent the lies don’t sway many people. We do a great job in the U.S.A. More rights for criminals with jury trials, and defense. So many other countries rush to sentencing, and are much more brutal. I’d much rather be sentenced in the U.S.compared to Russia, China, Japan, Turkey (ugh), Africa, South America, etc. The western world is more humane.
when the miranda rights are read, before any questioning that can be used against you as a suspect, you have the right to silence and a lawyer. Youre an idiot for not using them when it is read to you. The only way to fix that is by telling everyone who will listen to get a lawyer and then stfu

I believe that some killers get haunted-the victim stays on their mind ,and it could kinda make them confes 💯
Right? There are hundreds of unsolved cases. Not every killer is a serial killer. Chances are you've walked by one in your life.
Thanks for sharing, very insightful.
Jeeez! What government requests a polygraph for an interview! That’s awful and terrifying
Yea me too wink wink. But I told the “truth” and got your job. You are a Bingus my friend.
@@mrsrock7641 If you want to work for the FBI or the CIA a polygraph is the least of it (your choices are take it or walk). It only happens in cases that require a security clearance, the higher the security, the more thorough the investigation.

It's amazing that the fast food worker remembered the girl. Back when I worked fast food customers would come in and yell "remember me?!" And I'd 110% have no clue who they were. Major props to that woman and her keen memory!
Helps that it's an incredibly small town. I went to a high school graduation there once, and there were less than 10 kids in the graduating class.
It's also different if they're regulars. When I was waiting tables I discovered people tip you better when you remember what they usually order. I never knew names, but I knew their face and their usual order. 😂
Try that in a small town. Cashiers grab my cigarettes when they see me walking toward the counter.
I'm from a huge town and I used to work in fast food and remember the regulars but I am getting tested for ADHD and I remember faces and places really easily not names lol
I probably would have remembered. Fast food workers are complete humans too, and being fast food worker doesn't make you a moron.

I am glad however it happened that Rebekah Christian Gould’s family & loved ones were able to get some sort of justice finally.

That dude got 8 years for telling a guy he would kill him? That's truly unbelievable. He must have a crazy criminal record.
And who knows what that entailed. No doubt it was much more than just, "I'm gonna kill you!"
I told someone that once and like the wuss he was he promptly had me arrested for communicating threats. 2 years of probation for a first offense so he had to have had some crazy charges
I don't see how he got that much for that. Crazy to me

Circus crime posted a video yesterday in which the suspect asked for a lawyer. It was a short video. 😂
not only that but missing miranda rights reading? he was guilty, but how many weren't
I believe Miranda rights are only given when being detained or actually being arrested. Like they said he was free to go but I always wonder what they would do because if they had a warrant they wouldn't even need to bring that up.
@@zielona_fif you are gonna complain about something make sure you know what and how the Miranda rights work dumbfuc
I'm glad they caught the killer but damn, always ask for a lawyer and shut your mouth.

It's pretty bad when someone's missing, and so is their suitcase, I don't even consider they've left or gone on a trip... I immediately jump to them being in that suitcase, dead. I think we can all agree on this. We've seen it far too often, especially in recent years.
That’s exactly what i was thinking too!
The only reason you’ve seen it “far too often, especially in recent years” is because you binge watch shows like this and then assume it’s somehow more ubiquitous now than ever before.
Every time 😂
@lamontcranston8181 I don't bingewatch anything.

I adore Mike, but he does look like a teen without them. Go on look again. He must be at least thirty, in any case he’s very young looking….
The fact that you tell us so much about the victims makes me feel like I knew them
I often wonder if subconsciously, people talk to the police in order to get caught and end the deception. Another great case Mike!!! RIP Rebekah
I think a lot of the time they think they can talk their way out of being suspected...
I believe they do! @gale

Always blows my mind when people who are blatantly guilty plead not guilty. Thanks for sharing this story Mike, always enjoy your videos!
It's the republican way..
@celebrity292 what deal? That's the whole problem. We bargain with psychopaths
Sometimes 'not guilty' pleas have to do with whether or not the death penalty is on the table. To my knowledge.
What’s also intriguing is then there’s people who will have a mountain of evidence, even CCTV and the person is like Shaggy ,” wasn’t me !”
Mike you look great with or without your glasses and I love ya!
Or the hilarious Google searches (how to get rid of body lol) done on their phone or computer!
They won't let them leave even if they say so... On the other hand I don't understand why they don't ask for a lawyer
I assume they think that staying and being chill will make them look innocent. He even basically says that to the detective

Me too because I get very nervous if someone starts doubting me
I love how this detective had the polygrapher in his back pocket. Caught poor Billy boy so off guard he almost shat himself
Hey Mike! Thanks for being something I can rely on in these uncertain times.
I love ya back.❤️
I love your videos! Makes my day every time another new one comes up!

Thanks again for a GREAT video/case, Mike! ❤ hope everyone is havong a good day. If youre straggling, im sorry. I hope it gets better soon. Youre not alone. Hang in there. You deserve a brighter tomorrow

@@azureavocado5195 you got this my friend.
Hey Mike. Thanks for the content. Love from Massachusetts
Thanks very much! Love Massachusetts, my favourite place outside of Ireland
This detective reminds me of Brenda Leigh Johnson from The Closer.been watching all the seasons recently.she was known for lying to most of the suspects!Grateful her family got their answers.Thx Mike.Always great to see you.Happy New Year to you and your wife!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Mike ❤ after having a rubbish few days I know a new upload will make me feel better!
Another great video, presented with honour and empathy. These videos are the best true crime on RUclips
Never ever fails to make me smile knowing I'm about to give it a go..... Thanks mike. Great video as always.
"pops the collar, smokes a cigarette" he cracks me up, Mike's image of a "bad boy"😂
I've watched so many real life interrogations and i agree.......so many people are bullied into false confessions..... usually because of the many, many hours they have been interrogated for and they just want the bullying to be over, clearly not thinking of the consequences they have just dumped themselves in. hence why the death penalty is a touchy subject
thankyou soooo much for a great story as always........love youooo ❤❤😊
I can relate to your glasses issue - I was the opposite after I got LASIK, I ditched them for good as soon as I walked into surgery. But then, I was at -9 with astigmatism and had never even seen myself in the mirror without them. It felt very strange. It took a while adjusting to that stranger in the mirror. 😄
My optometrist said that I can't get it because of astigmatism..
I thought his eyes miraculously healed but it turns out he’s just short-sighted 😂
it's like you can't trust anyone, even family.
Love it when my notification goes off and it's a new that chapter episode
Thanks for being here!
Perfect timing yet again Mike! Let's give it a goo!
Mike, I watched this documentary of the West Cork Sophie case the other night. Very interesting, would love to see your take in video form.
This is my second favorite interrogation!! This cop is absolute fyre!
My absolute favorite is Russell Williams!
You'll never get me to confess, Mike! Small town loyalty runs deep!
Cantrell got 8 yrs for threatening Justin, but women who are threatened and stalked endlessly can't get police to lift a finger. How does that work?
Patriarchy
It's true. It's an awfully lonely feeling.
I was nearly strangled to death last Jan. Guess where the POS is? Work release! He'll be out in no time. 😡
Seriously! WTF
Because women often take back their allegations or don’t show up to court, my gf works with the victims.
@@chadbear8759 then she should know that she shouldn’t be sharing personal details of peoples traumatic life stories so her boyf can post that shit all over the internet. Ask her if she’s ever heard of confidentiality!
Aren't polygraphs just mumbo jumbo anyway? There's a reason they aren't accepted as evidence in courts.
I’d much rather be sentenced in the U.S.compared to Russia, China, Japan, Turkey (ugh),
Africa, South America, etc.
The western world is more humane.
Cops may be (legally)allowed to lie to suspects, but in reality it's never right. And it is a lazy interrogation technique.
when the miranda rights are read, before any questioning that can be used against you as a suspect, you have the right to silence and a lawyer. Youre an idiot for not using them when it is read to you. The only way to fix that is by telling everyone who will listen to get a lawyer and then stfu
