I recently rescued a ginger boy too. It took him about six months but just yesterday, he climbed on my lap and fell asleep. I was so happy to see her trusts me and I think he's glad I adopted him...forever!💖
It's so endearing when an animal finally accepts you as family. I also have a ginger boy. I was at a garage sale at a farm & he rolled onto his back for me to give him a belly rub. He then followed me around & even jumped through the window of my car. I then found out they were taking him to a shelter so I said "I'll have him". I think he already knew. He is a lovely affectionate boy, but has grown more so, as I give him lots of attention & cuddles.
poor boy must have had a tough life, he looks like he has sorrow in hes facial expression, i hope he can be happy from now on, thanks for taking him in and giving him the love that deserves.
Thank you so much for essentially saving Garfield's life and giving him a real home. 🙂 The world needs more of THIS, please. Thank you for sharing this.
Garfield tells a very different story about how you met. He insists you intentionally ATTRACTED him. You just happened to put out a box that was exactly his size. Then you proceeded to entertain him with your crafts. Soon after, you served him dinner. Sounds like a date to me!
Thank you for not giving up on him when he was diagnosed with diabetes. My late senior ginger girl was diagnosed with diabetes soon after she was rehomed with me. Treating it can be very expensive, even if they go into remission. I spent a lot of time and money on her health but I don't regret a single dime. I miss her deeply to this day and always will.
Our dog had diabetis for most of his life. It wasnt that expensive iirc, but he hated it, when you tried to get a drop of blood out of him for a bloodsugar test :p With cats you have a decent chance, that they can recover from diabetis, iirc. With dogs its sadly for life.
@@Daniel-rd6stYes, my dachshund was diagnosed with diabetes at 10 on top of severe skin allergies, just terrible 😢 her insulin was like $12-14 and would last for a month or more. Sadly, she went through the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge at barely 12… I raised her from 9wks old and one of the hardest things I had to do. I’ve had two dogs my basset hound ElsieBells from 12wks old to 14 and that was one of the worst things I’ve ever done helped her over the Rainbow 🌈 then Gertie at 12. Of course I grew up with dogs and loved every single one of them and at 68 I still remember them all and our cats! Have a good day.
@@denisekenney6436 I am sorry for you loss. We had a Westi and he got 18 years old, before we had to put him to rest (he was pretty much blind and deaf at this point and at the end could barely move his hind legs anymore). And yes, that was probably the hardest day of my life, especially since 2 days before our budgie died and the same day we had to put our dog down, his partner followed (when they are bonded, the loss of the partner can easily kill them). So within one week, we lost all of our pets.

I've rescued many, many cats over the last 30+ years and I have found that, overall, the feral/stray Tom cats turn out to be the sweetest and most affectionate. They are usually in very rough shape and once they are neutered and settled they seem to be so grateful and will shower you with so much love... they also seem to read your mind... they connect to you on another level. Thank you so much for giving this Tom a chance to shine 🤗.
Thank you for your kindness and adopting Garfield. He’s a beauty. He’s been through hell and back but now he is safe, healthy and loved. 🥰 You are a compassionate person.
Best when they wait for you to come home! Whenever I'm out, I like coming home to them or telling people I have to get home, my cats are waiting for me.
So great that you found him or shall I say each other and its so evident how much you love him❤❤❤. Their love for us is unchangeable unbreakable for the rest of thei lives.
Did you know that cats domesticated themselves? Here in the UK we allow them to come and go as they please because they're never truly domesticated. My Moo is inside most times but he does wander out into the back garden at times to go lie in the sun when it's out. He nags me when I stay up too late as if to say, bedtime now mummy! Come sleep with me on the bed. 😊
Managing diabetes and insulin injections twice daily isn't easy when your little friend can only meow. Our kitty had feline diabetes for 4 years when he was 12 years old. We felt blessed that we were able to spend that much more time with him. Bless you for taking in Garfield and loving him so much.
Garfield is the perfect name for this adorable ginger cat. Thank goodness you adopted him and were able to start treating his diabetes, or he would have become very ill. You are so kind and loving to him. Thank you very much for giving him a wonderful life and for sharing his story.. ♥

He looks so much like my daughters cat, Creamsicle..well 1 of her cats. He's getting older now but he's like my grandcat😉😉..he & I have always had a special connection. Great story!!
I love Arthur, lucky YOU! I rescued a orange tabby who lived his first two years under a dumpster at a run down apt. complex. I adopted him and now he is king of the castle...he is a fluffy wonderful sweetheart and he is a treasure. (Arthur is ADORABLE) 😺
Frost bitten ears and how exhausted he must of been, especially being ill and the diabetes untreated. You are a magnificent soul and thank you for loving him
He's your fur baby, and you are a wonderful mum ❤️ He wouldn't have faired well much longer trying to survive all that without you. He found you in the nick of time ❤
