Do not stay in this hotel. They recently contracted a Pest Exterminator company to get rid of a group of controlled colony of cats that are being looked after by the community. They did it in the dead of night. So where are the cats now, huh? Heartless bastards!

The old name of that place before it was developed was Fort Bonifacio, a military base. After the land was sold and developed, the place was renamed as Bonifacio Global City or simply BGC. It is also called "The Fort", which was derived from its old name, Fort Bonifacio. Basically, The Fort and BGC refer to the same place.
The BGC community is heart broken because Shangri-la the fort were cruel to the cats who are not within their property. They hired Pestbusters Philippines to exterminate the helpless cats heartlessly just for their aesthetic purposes. After deligent search efforts by volunteers and concerned residents, the cats aka "Cats of BGC" were no where to be found. The residents and workers in BGC cared for the cats and there's a petition of about 15,000 people against Shangri-la the fort. See their Facebook page for the real ratings and comments to know what happened.
+Clarity thanks for sharing this news, we are horrified to hear that such an irresponsible and evil thing could be done to friendly street cats that have been taken care of by the BGC community. We have on numerous occasions played with a few of those cats and we should all demand proof from Shangri-La and Petbusters that they are still alive and well...

Di ko naman sinabi na wag tanggalin ung mga pusa, syempre kailangan silang tanggalin dahil business district yan.. Pero ung patayin sila ng ganun ibang usapan na yon. Ikaw po ata kailangan mas gumamit ng utak. Pareho kayo mag-isip ng kung sinumang gumawa nun. Brutal.

the fort is the whole place..BGC or Bonifacio Global Corp. is the owner of the land or developer i think, just like ayala land..
