@@michaelt334 From the hotel’s main entrance to Megamall’s Hypermarket entrance I think it’s safe to walk at night because you literally just have to cross a road.. If you want to go to Shangri-la mall there is a connecting bridge so you don’t need to go out of the hotel.
1:52 - The side of that table can actually be opened like a drawer, so you can use the plates and utensils inside. I think it’s really cool, because you can use it when you decide to eat takeouts inside yout room. I know this, because I’ve had my fair share of staycations at Edsa Shang.😉👉

For me i prefer okada manila,solaire resort,sofitel manila, city of dreams manila and shangrila the fort in BGC are the best luxury hotel in the Philippines
most of the textures in the hotel is also nature textures just like this part 1: 59 that wooden textures are also shown up in handmade chairs that is made of wood and Filipinos love nature textures especially our Filipino house which most people in the Philippines have is a nipa hut. :)
Not large but there is definitely an increase through the years. Koreans tend to study in universities in the ph to improve their English or most of them travel to the southern islands to experience the tropical life. Not many migrate but you can see some occasional Koreans here or there.

I love Makati Shangri la. And the Shangri la in the fort in BGC is just so modern. The top hotels in Manila all have this textrure craze bacause they promote the Native Materials and patterns of the Philippines.

If I were in the Philippines and asked my grandma to hilot me, she will massage me or vise versa. What you described sounds like something you’d find on Wikipedia. It’s all good tho 👍🏼
Hilot usually refers to a medical massage. Although it's not scientifically backed. Where i'm from, we say "hilot" as a massage to fix something for our body, not really for relaxation. And we say "masahe" for the conventional, relaxing massage
About the laundry Those prices are particularly expensive, make sense bec you're in shangrila. You can actually find way cheaper laundry shop around the area. Just google it! For 8 Kilos of clothes, it can usually cost around 2-6 US Dollars!

Omg, the laundry service is so expensive D: D: D: Well, I guess it's something to be expected in Shangri-La. Next time though, just a suggestion, find a laundry service in the malls nearby, and they'll be way cheaper than the ones in the hotel itself.
I suggest you to go to "I'm Hotel" located at Makati if you go here in the Philippines...its pretty relaxing there...it has an infinite pool next to a spa and at the very top of the building has a bar with jellyfishes design and has a delicious food at the bouffe
I find your video very entertaining and very very informative. I am a filipino but have now migrated to Sydney Australia since 1996. I come back to my city called Quezon City to my ancestral home from year to year and stayed a few days in other hotels but l haven't tried this Shangrila hotel. The design and decoration of the hotel is very similar to Balinese style, especially the entrance to the spa. Nothing wrong with that, just mentioning.
