Hey Terry, I was curious to know your thoughts which is better for CCIE EI track, vEdges (Viptella) ..VS... cEdges (ie ISR/CSR1kv) in controller-mode? Are there any gotchas or enhancements the cEdges have over the vEdges ?
For CCIE v1.0 you need vEdges, for v1.1 you probably should plan on knowing both (that is my opinion. Many organizations have and are moving away from vEdges (especially after the Certificate fiasco last month) but the honest truth is cEdge is where the future is. To support all the features and capabilities organizations are buying SDWAN for today IOSXE cEdge is required. For exam study the syntax is important and the two (vedege & cedge) are not the same. To cover my bets for students preparing for v1.1 I am teaching both but stressing cEdges because that is what I see in production. Hope this helps.
Thanks 😊
No problem 😊
Do you plan to make a ZTP/PNP video for cEdge too? Given 1.1 is only cEdges.
cedge is the future.
Agreed. But a guy on RUclips ask to see the ztp process using vedge. I hate vEdge the sooner they go away the better.

@@TerryVinsonCCIEx2 , great feedback. I'm going to focus on the cEdges for a bit now and appreciate your advice. Thank you, Terry.
