The best video explanation of Trailing Threshold that I have seen yet. It all is beginning to make sense now. Be a profit taker & not a long term "investor". Those wobbly waves will kill your account if you don't act fast.
You literally gave a good explanation. I literally understand. I now literally know how to trade with Apex. I literally appreciate this video. I hope I don't literally fail.
This guy is literally just angry at literally everyone who asks for clarification on this weirdly restrictive trailing threshold. Literally unless you scalp they literally don’t want to fund you but literally I think it’s just a way for them to collect money from people blowing evals. Also this guy sounds really arrogant he needs to chill and stop talking so condescendingly
I guess if you’re in eval take profit as much as possible not waiting for retracement just make sure your tp is in a possible area for supply and demand so you won’t get out of the trade early. Maybe after eval and get a PA account buffer you can trade as long as you want because the trailing threshold won’t hunt you after meeting certain profit..
All makes sense. The only thing I want to clarify, can unrealized losses push you over the threshold? For example if unrealized losses lowers your account balance below the threshold that shouldn't trigger the trailing threshold?
An unrealized loss is still a loss. your balance cant go infinitely down hoping it comes back up before you close. if at anytime your balance hits the trailing threshold the account will trigger and fail
I know this has been answered a few times, AND I HAVE READ THE FAQ ON THE WEBSITE, but I just want to make sure. Using a $300,000 account as an example, there is a static -$7,500 trail of the highest Account Balance. BUT once funded, it only trails up to $300,100 maximum, correct? So in an extreme example, I can take the account from $300,000 to $400,000, and the Trailing Threshold will stay at $300,100, even if I take the account again with an extreme example, from $400,000 down to $301,000, as long as the Account Balance DOES NOT touch $300,100, the Funded Account WILL NOT be lost, is this correct? Thanks in advance!
That's an extreme great example. Getting the account out of the $300,100 is extremely tough. One piece of bad news that moves market in the wrong direction and you're done.
@@ApexTraderFunding It sounds like static account then where your minimum drawdown stays at one place. You can have unrealized profit of 1000 and even if you don't take it, the static account stays the same. Now with PA trailing account, it sounds similar to static account. What's the point of EOD or Static then?
Yes basically. They won’t say it but BE stops will blow your account because of unrealized profits you need to trail very close and essentially scalp moves
Hi so on a50k let's say I have a 6,000 dollar day as long as I don't hit that 52,500 I should be good correct? Because I have wiggly room of 3.5k of my own profits to trade with?

@@ApexTraderFunding I am curious how the trailing in a paid account works since it says "it stops trailing after certain amount". For example, let's say your trailing drawdown is $2000 for an account, if you make $1000 day 1 in PA account, and $1000 next day and another $1000 next day, but 3rd day you lose $2050, will you lose the account since it went over your drawdown?
@@darrellmartin4702 I see. Can you please give me an example in numbers? Like if I have 100k account with 3k trailing threshold. The first day if I make +$1000 profit, the next day I can't go below $101,100 balance, and if I lose $500, then next day I can't go below $100,600? @@ApexTraderFunding I’m missing something or you misunderstood the question… Once you pass the evaluation and get your PA account does the trailing lock in and stop at $50,100 once you get to $52,600?
Moral of the story, trade small and have a relatively aggressive take profit strategy or scalp.

No! Subtract trailing stop from $506000 and your new stop is $503500.
This also varies depends on how high price went while u were in a trade.
on a 50k pa trail stops at 50100
My questions is ; there is a maximum or it just keep going after the benefits and never get blocked at some point ?
once funded it stops trailing at $100 plus initial balance
happens to me all the time
So basically the trailing stop is a fixed absolute value from the highest equity ?
yes
During your open position, yes.
Why would you make $1000 profit and watch it give all that back plus ??
so you could learn hiw it works and not make the mistake
