initially he was a rapper, he even participated on smtm, he has a first song when he was called luizy before he debuted as woodz called "recipe" you should check it, it has lyrics, and is incredible. He can not be contained into one genre bc he can pull off everything, he is such an amazing and versatile artist...

I think in the MV for Love me harder, he was a criminal making fake money with his accomplice/girlfriend, and during the argument in the car she kills him, takes the money and fakes a suicide. The “evil” Woodz is just the part of him that knows that he died and tries to make it realize to “normal” Woodz who’s is denial. You can see him get through everything after his death (crime scene, police station,etc..) The evil Woodz makes him go through it over and over again until he’s ready to face the truth and accept his own death

mmm adding onto this, the scene right after woodz steps into the crime scene, when he’s at the traffic light and everyone has umbrellas reminds me of a funeral. all black umbrellas on a rainy day, all standing in an order together. a bunch of foreshadowing throughout.
For you to really understand Woodz, i would recommend : Different --> Accident --> Feel Like --> Trigger --> Lullaby --> Feel Like --> Waiting --> Kiss of Fire --> Chaser --> Thinkin' Bout You --> Dirt on My Leather. Well, basically everything. LOL. He's just too talented and a true all rounder. Where can u find a person who can do any kind of genre like him?

You are mistaken about one thing. He actually had solo songs before producex101. Check out "different', 'pool' and the entire 'set' album, it's heavenly.

Woodz is insanely good and he is in his own category.
Actually in Uniq he was the rapper so he can rap. He didn’t really sing much which is criminal since he has such a good voice. He writes all of his songs. Also love me harder wasn't his first solo song. He had a different name for his first solo song, his name was lousy and the song was recipe, in 2016. Then he changed his name to woodz and released different and pool which are amazing, still two of my faves from him. Then he went on produce 101 to be in X1 and when that fell apart he released love me harder. Which was loved so much and got so popular. So many idols were singing that song. I love that he just goes for whatever style he wants and just sings however he wants now. Includes rap when needed not all the time. I still can’t believe he was the rapper in uniq when he has such a unique singing tone. It’s almost criminal.
The interesting thing is i think he doesn't have hardcore fandom, BUT even casual listeners do have a very strong feeling about his music because it's just objectively good, unique, and he produced everything himself too. Like he's just an artist that everyone is rooting for even when you're not a stan
woodz is a killer soloist, being in so many groups throughout his career made him go through a lot of hard times, but now his career is better than ever! really hope to see more reactions from you, i personally recommend "feel like" it has a really different vibe from the songs you checked out here and im sure you'll like it

Yess he has a very heavy hand in his music and has even produced for other artists. He is such a versatile artist and every comeback of his is so different. His artistry is top tier in the industry.
Also, appart from his amazing music, he is an amaing person, he is super cheerful and funny. He is a socual butterfly, some of his close friends are pentagon's kino, astro's jinjin, GOT7's YuGyeom, Jamie, and seventeen's Vernon
This boy has more talent in his finger than most people do in their whole body. So underrated. So incredibly talented.
Oh I hope you'll react to Feel Like too, one of my favourite release (album included) from 2021. His current pop punk era is insaneeee but he suits rnb so well too. I mean he can do anything. I remember watching him in Produce and was so confused what line he was because in he could literally be main rapper, dancer or vocalist in ANY group. He's also one of the most hilarious guy I've come across in kpop

YESSSS thank you for reacting to more of his songs! He's one of my ults and his entire discography is emasculate. He's been through a lot and I have so much respect for him to write about these things in his songs. He's super unique and severely underrated among reactors. Thank you for the reaction video!! WOODZ has been in the industry since looong ago, in fact he has debuted as a soloist before he debuted in X1. He was in a group called UNIQ too before his solo debut. He is indeed an all-rounder, he is a singer, rapper, dancer, soccer player, producer, song-writer, you name it! Not only is he talented but is intelligent as well, he speaks 5 languages and has a great great personality, he's very humble and friendly. He's literally everything, and his handsome face is a big bonus.

About the Love Me Harder video -- That was the title track for his first solo mini-album, which was called "Equal." When he was making the album, he decided to focus on something he knew his fans liked about him, that he is an "all rounder" who can do pretty much everything. So the title Equal was saying he was all of those things equally (rap, sing, write, ETC.). So that's where the initial concept came from, of having two WOODZ in the video. Overall, I think you had it right -- leather WOODZ could see through the girl, but sweater WOODZ was bound to get hurt by her.
You have many solid recommendations already for more WOODZ songs, so I'll just say, keep in mind that some of his videos are live clips! Loved your reactions; I was vibing with you the whole way through. If you do more, I'll definitely be here for it!

I hate you - rock and almost 90’s feel he can imbue so many genres and styles into his songs and the albums have interweaving themes and motifs.
Love me harder - he was a counterfeit criminal and then he is double crossed by his lover who shoots him and takes the money and the dark Woodz is death trying to get his mind to understand he was killed and it’s why he was so entertained by dying Woodz struggling to understand. Kind of like in a traumatic death the reaper took on the image of Woodz to help him process, as he goes through the confusion and denial, anger and acceptance much of the 5 stages in the MV.
Bump bump - so cute and hoppy it was such a shift, honest if you sampled each of the styles he has done you would get whiplash.

Group he started with UNIQ - most popular MV prob EOEO. 3 Chinese and 2 Korean members they debuted in 2014 all pursuing solo careers and the group itself has been inactive since 2018.
He is also part of MOLA, He was a member of X1 after being successful on produce 101 but they were sadly disbanded after mnet controversy. He went by the name Luizy which you see in recipe MV, before changing to Woodz.
Composer, producer, singer, rapper and solid dancer he’s produced for many other popular idols/companies. Speaks 4 languages.

His friends describe him as a bright energetic person and he’s a touch of a crackhead to be honest but if you wanna deep dive his Baverse ep shows the rough rough and how strong and resilient he’s had to be to keep moving forward. but also how by testimony of his friends how humble and supportive he’s remained to them and is respected.

WOODZ has a group of producing team which consists of himself, WOODZ, NATHAN & HOHO KIM. They do music together, compose, write lyrics and producing. Hoho Kim is the guitarist. and WOODZ is the main producer to his every single album. WOODZ is also known as an ALLROUNDER, raps, vocals, dances, pretty much everything. DO ENJOY all of his B-sides too. it’s a NO-SKIP album…every single time. I LOVE THEM ALL. haha..i am bias. but I LOVE GOOD MUSIC, what can i do. 😝

woodz is really talented, its so unfortunate that such guy always debut in a group that always disappears. He debuted in Uniq and there was no disbandment news or anything just almost all the members are more focus in acting and currently Woodz, Wenhan and Yibo are sometimes active in music. Fact: Woodz produce a song for the show 'Idol Producer' called 'It's Okay' ( and Wenhan participated in Youth with You S1 the next season of IP and debuted with UNINE). I don't really like Yuehua though its true they debut great artists and they are really big specially in China but sad to say almost all boy groups under their company always ends up with promoting solo (wish it won't happen with Tempest) they promoted Uniq as a group for a few years then made the members focus on something else, they also did the same with Nex7, I really hope Tempest would not go down the same path as their prev groups
