Are we ignoring the fact that he screamed without taking a breath from 2:47 - 3:09? "All you do is make me feel exactly what you are; you make me siiiiiiiiiii...iiiiiiiick" essentially amounts to a 22 second scream. I thought this album might actually be lacking in vocal quality, but regardless, Austin Carlisle's stamina still cannot be matched.

Honestly all bands change their sound and sometimes it doesn't come out that great but this album is fantastic. And if you're willing to stop listening to them because of a few songs, then you weren't a real fan in the beginning.

I really hate people who say that they're terrible now or that they're sell outs, just because they change their sound doesn't mean they're sellouts. Last time i checked they don't make music for you, they make it for their fanbase and themselves, if you hadn't noticed the people who like this album is significantly larger than those who don't.
Hate is a strong word, wouldn't it be more or less proper to use "Strongly Dislike"? As well as those who say that their music is terrible/horrible/shitty are just expressing what they think and really if it's that terrible then they shouldn't even listen in the first place. Yet, us humans think we need to be out there and show others what we think which there is nothing wrong with that but it just goes to show that they're attention seekers. They create their music to help others in need to show that their lyrics may create an negative or positive advice. As well as they create it to amaze and entertain their fans and those who're just beginning to know them. They also play and create music for pure pleasure and fun. Strictly Sir I accidentally learnt it because I used to whisper scream cos of my parents late at night so I gradually just picked it up. I also did inhales which helped my learn the sound I needed to make just outward. Fry’s was easy to learn though it’s just breath that sucks.

I don't get how people are hating on this album/saying they're not fans anymore. yes sometimes bands change their sound and it sounds shitty, but if you change it and make it correctly, you get beauty like this! very heavy and very beautiful, love the vocals and especially the deep lyrics. best album yet! also another reason is, every album i listened to, it all was repetative. you get the single that everyone likes, and everything else sounds the same so you dont care about it because there is no difference, nor do you even know the name of the songs because they sound so simular. just like asking alexandria. this fucking album though! very well done, 10/10!!

Eh. I say all of there songs are good. Idk if I have favorites yet but it takes a really good band for me to like every, or 95% of the songs on the album. Kinda like slipknot' s self titled album. I think there were 2-3 songs that I disliked, and one of them was not from nit picking. Everything else was just fantastic

I still love OMAM and the flood, and this album is just an addition to their development. People really need to stop instantly hating a band because they change their sound a bit. Look at BMTH with Sempiternal, terrific album, much different sound from There is a Hell. Not all bands are going to stay the same... Look at the beetles for example, from the early sixties when they started, straight edge, clean, innocent, to absolutely kings of the hippie movement. Shit changes. Deal with it or listen to other bands.

Half the album is just Austin being angry, letting out his emotions into these songs and it's like a bunch of The Depths, which is fucking awesome. Then you have the "When You Can't Sleep At Night" Songs, scattered, and then the slightly less heavy, subtle songs, which are great. I feel like everyone pretending to be music critics is the funniest thing ever, you are literally swearing and insulting, that's not being a critic, that's just being a blatant asswipe, im sorry, you have no future in the business. Austins lyrics release his emotions well, as always and everyones getting mad because it's not as heavy because all they do is headbang, don't even pay attention to the lyrics which is sad. Stick To Your Guns stated that in a song "Music these days, focus more on the sound, not enough on what is being said" which is entirely true except for these guys, WCAR, and a couple other guys, and also, all you ignorant idiots yelling and swearing about it not sounding heavy enough, you are part of the problem, sorry.

Why is everyone hating on this album? I like the balance of shouty/screamy tracks and singing tracks. It adds more meaning to the album in my opinion.
I actually really like the post-hardcore meets nu-metal sound they have on this album.
"Nu-metal" eh don't make me cringe...
Nu-metal was a load of shit overall, but it did have some good riffage. Very chunky and moshable, good grove to it. I think all genres have elements that are good, even ones that suck overall. There's nothing wrong with taking the good elements and leaving behind the bullshit.
This is probably my favourite song on the album it sticks out the most among the others.
