Which is what i have done with supersix hi-mod rapha. Unfortunately i had to buy entire bike on ultegra and sell all components.

Its like they only had 11 speed disc for a year or two and then they stop making it so to find it in stock even form SRAM direct is very hard.
The new wheels are faster, lighter and priced the same. The only benefit you'd get would be if you really need tubeless. Comparing a CLX50 pair with GP5000 TL and the new set with GP5000 latex the new wheels and tires would be faster, lighter, and unless you have some irrational bias towards TL, easier to deal with. They'd still be faster and lighter with butyl. I'm not even sure the CLX64s are faster but they are even heavier.
Mine is on its way hope to have it built end Nov. ....am going with the carbon frame and build it from scratch, with upgraded wheels..... I CAN'T W A I T !!!..... Better then the 12K

Hi! What would you recommend for (draft) triathlons? Venge 2020 vs Tarmac SL7 (both Pro versions). Mostly flat courses but I also ride a lot in hills in my trainings...
If it was just flat I would say venge all the way, but because of the hills training you will gain so much more advantage with the tarmac. They say the tarmac is almost just as aero as the venge so the weight trade off you get for the minimal aero advantage wouldn’t make sense. Go full tarmac pro!!!
@@marcovanlieshout6443 i dont know Holland that well but im sure it has some hills over there, I think you would love the tarmac SL7. They did an amazing job on thta bike and it still has alot of aero characteristics for the flats
Thanks for the video and all your responses :) I like the semi-integrated cockpit. I fly with bikes (when there's not a pandemic) so packability is a concern for me. How possible is it to detach the stem and/or bars and turn bars sideways along fork or top tube in a travel bag? (Using a Biknd Helium bag) Subscribed and liked!
Thanks so much!! I appreciate the support, it is very easy to remove the bar and the stem there is just that small 3mm bolt under the stem loosen the cable slack for the brakes and then you can remove the bar and turn the stem sideways and your good to go, I have put it into a evoc bag and also a box for 2 customers and worked both times

Nice Video. I am going to buy a Pro. My LBS has this Red in stock, but couldn't see it in sunlight as the day I went, it was overcast. I am torn between should I buy this one or wait for blue one till Oct. Did you build a pro in Blue?
Don’t have a blue yet should be sometime next week. The red one looks amazing go to the end of the video I take the bike in the sun and it looks amazing!!! I would choose red between the two colors
hey, I just got this bike today, the rubber cover in the Seat post wedge wasn't installed on mine, although I have it with me with the stuff they gave me. Should I be worried about it? I'm scared that dirt/dust may build up in it. Thank you
thats awesome!!! congrats, um, its not like the end of the world because once your seat is set then you really wont be touching it but you have to think thats a area where sweat does drip into alot, they probably put the battery in the seatpost before installing that and didnt want to have to remove the wires, its very easy to do just like 5-10 min of time and they probably saw it at the end of the build and just got lazy. Me personally I would get it done just because it will prevent corrosion from pooling o the inside of the bolt and for any reason if you have to remove the seatpost you dont want it to be a bigger pain then what it has to be.
@@GCPerformance18 hey ty for the reply, may I ask how do you remove the seat post ? I read the manual and it said to remove the di2 junction box and the wire. I will attempt to remove it by myself. Should I be aware of anything ? Do I need to reapply grease and the friction paste ? Thank you haha I have ocd so I have to get this rubber wedge on
What are your thoughts on the stock Roval wheelset on the Tarmac Pro SL7 for strength, rigidity, durability, etc.? I'm a tall (6'4", 225lb.), strong rider and need durable wheels. I'm comparing the Pro SL7 with the stock wheelset and the Expert SL7, but with an upgraded wheelset like the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon SL's which are well-known to be durable . Thanks!
The pro stock wheels are amazing there so wide and structure wise there very strong. I don’t think you will have an issue at all you can also get the wheels and rebuild them with 13 gauge spokes
@@GCPerformance18 Thanks for the reply and great reviews by the way! Rebuilding a wheelset can get pricey though. So the Pro in stock form vs the Expert w/Mavic Cosmic Carbon Pro SL's, it sounds like you'd opt for the Pro? I don't care about the bars and the seat would get changed anyway.
Great video! A few questions: Are the CL Rapide Wheels the same rim shape / profile as the CLX Rapid wheels? And the only difference is the hub? ALso, what crank length do they spec on the 56 frame?
Yes same rim just the spokes and hubs are different I’m gonna do a vs review on the cl wheels compared to clx wheels to show off weight differences and all and crank arm length on Tarmac’s are as listed 52 170 54 172.5 56 172.5 58 175
sram force chainrings with a 107bcd and you can choose your configuration for size but they sell specific ones to fit that 107bcd....... and just a sram force etap front derailleur or sram red, and it will work with the shifters already installed.... just need to pair them. Also the bike comes with the braze on mount in th eparts bag and you will ahve to install that as well but it is included in the bike parts for free
From the info I have read. S Works frame fact 12r carbon 800g and pro model frame fact 10r 920g. If all else was equal (components wheels etc) pro model frame the better bang for the buck?
Thanks for this good video. I wonder why you measured 16lbs 10 ounces, which is 7.51 kg. I believed that Specialized claimed the Pro-Version on Ultegra to weigh 7.3 kg which would be 16.09 pounds, haven't seen that claim on their official website though. Any idea?:)

I hope that helped
GC Performance what's the best way to sell my vado sl 5? I know demand for it is super high, 1000 miles since June 26. So I can buy this bike from you?????
they have two Pro models which is very weird for this year. there all the same price but there is a Shimano spec with ultegra di2 but does not come with a power meter and the sram version that is a 1x12 version that is equipped with a power meter. The strangest thing is that they are both the same exact retail price but one of them you get an included power meter. You have to be a major fan of shimano to pass up on the white.
I dont ave any in store but as soon as I get some in stock I will for sure, we had the all black one for $2000 that i was gonna do a video on it but it sold like 2 weeks ago. I promise I will have one up whenever i get one in hoping soon
D Salazar which sl6 do you have the one with the integrated seat clamp or the external seat clamp?? I mean wheels will be a huge upgrade and a quarter of the price of a new bike
But I mean to do the Ultegra and the wheels you might be able to sel yours high price right now because the market is demanding the entry level bike and pick up something nicer
mayalman yes I rode the pro. It’s amazing I had the sworks venge before and I had nothing wrong with the bike the only thing I can say if I had to give it a strike was that the venge vertical compliancy wAs very stiff. With this bike I get al the benefits of the aero but it’s more compliant and comfy to ride for longer rides and then you can fee the weight difference between the two. The tarmac is so responsive when you get up to sprint. It reacts so quick.
yes it can be but it just wont hide the cables as well because the stem that comes with a bike has a spot for the cables to be ran under neath it but there are tons of people riding this bike with a different stem configuration.
yea Its gonna be really hard to find, you have to try and call all local stores around you.. there really are no online places where you can buy, I dont have any left in stock either... just waiting on specialized
GC Performance yeah I prefer this color over the S-works colors. The only S-works color that I like is the black with Sade of green on certain parts of the frame. I like that this color looks almost like a maple syrup color in the shade and until the sun hits it changes into that beautiful red. My 2020 trek Madone SLR ICON prismatic Pearl has the same effect, it’s a dark grey pearl color until the sun hits it, then it gives of this unicorn blood kind of a rainbow effect color. I wonder why specialized only designed the the SL7 for electronic sifting?
Romeo Fowler I love that color I said the same thing about the sworks frame I wish they made that. And they only make it for the internal cabling because of the stem combo. It would be to crowded and almost impossible to route 4 cables through the stem and also handlebar
THOSE WHO MAKES THOSE BIKES NEED TO COME DOW TO THE EARTH. 7.000 DOLLAR FOR A BICYCLE IS BEYOND ANY REALITY. YOU COULD START A BUSINESS WHIT THAT MONEY. OR A LOANS FOR A HOUSE, OR A CAR, GET A MOTORBIKE CRAZY STUFF... YOU NEED TO RELAX GUYS.
Its a lot, we all know it is but that's what the market calls for, there are tons of people shelling out that much money for bikes. I'm sure not everyone but there are enthusiasts out there who don't mind paying those prices because its something they love. Every hobby has this side too it, look at guns, lifting trucks... i have even have friends who have like $8,000 diving gear which i think is insane but that's what they do and that's what they spend money on, golf has crazy price golf clubs i mean the list goes on and on.... I know the price is super high and I'm not saying its not..... But they do make bikes from $800-12000 so they is a bike for everyone and just depends on how much you wanna spend on the sport/hobby if you get into it just like everything else
really tough question, Im a big fan of the one buy just because of how clean it looks, and I like how the new sram shifts with the paddle shifters kind of a like a car..... I personally would go sram model also because of the white color but if i lived anywhere with some big climbs that I had to tackle during my ride I would go for shimano just for the gearing
@@GCPerformance18 thank you. Is that true of the bike shop / seller community, as well re they don’t / aren’t able to do those swaps themselves as they build? Thanks, again.
@@yksvolg It varies from shop to shop. Most can add a powermeter upon request, leaving the customer with a total of two cranksets and maybe only a few are willing to swap it out.
@@shahirsikder3389 I'm not gonna say more aero because i don't think this tarmac model was out here to break the fastest aero times but its a bike that you can run for any occasion and bring anywhere.
I prefer tubeless and don't insist on gp5ktl although they are great.

Super review
Can you do a video with the venge pro and the sl7 pro? Stand next to eigthouder so you can see the differents.
For sure I just need to get a venge pro as they are all sold out but I have customers who have them 😉

How possible is it to detach the stem and/or bars and turn bars sideways along fork or top tube in a travel bag? (Using a Biknd Helium bag) Subscribed and liked!
Thanks so much!! I appreciate the support, it is very easy to remove the bar and the stem there is just that small 3mm bolt under the stem loosen the cable slack for the brakes and then you can remove the bar and turn the stem sideways and your good to go, I have put it into a evoc bag and also a box for 2 customers and worked both times

hey, I just got this bike today, the rubber cover in the Seat post wedge wasn't installed on mine, although I have it with me with the stuff they gave me.
I don't care about the bars and the seat would get changed anyway.

sram force chainrings with a 107bcd and you can choose your configuration for size but they sell specific ones to fit that 107bcd....... and just a sram force etap front derailleur or sram red, and it will work with the shifters already installed.... just need to pair them.

From the info I have read. S Works frame fact 12r carbon 800g and pro model frame fact 10r 920g.
If all else was equal (components wheels etc) pro model frame the better bang for the buck?
Yea 100 percent, I mean Sworks is the name you pay for, but it’s also $5000 more
If doing a build with top shelf components. The savings of 2000$ for the pro model frame even makes more sense. 120 grams, what 1/4 of a pound?
unclepauliestl it’s not just about the weight of the sworks frame it’s also the stiffness and the responsiveness of the bike too
What size would you get for someone thats 6'?
Trying to decide between this & the TCR Advanced Pro 0.

I would go with a 56 I am about 6 foot too and I ride 56 with a 120mm stem
I’m so confused. 2 LBS told me 58 and 1 LBS said 56. I ride a 56 TCR now and they claim it’s too small for me
What approx is the max saddle height on a 56cm SL7 frame (centre bottom bracket to centre saddle)?
I don’t have one here but I know it can go tall I’ll let you know
Keep an eye out today for a blue tarmac video
I would like to ask 188cm is fit 56 size?
yes that can work depending if u like a more aggresive fit if not then go 58
Thanks for this good video. I wonder why you measured 16lbs 10 ounces, which is 7.51 kg. I believed that Specialized claimed the Pro-Version on Ultegra to weigh 7.3 kg which would be 16.09 pounds, haven't seen that claim on their official website though. Any idea?:)
They don’t do official weights on the bikes on there website that’s why I gave thag weight so you can have an idea

If your lucky and your local bike shop has some on a sold back order we should have some coming in stock by mid to late September, we had a bunch coming in for stock and now they all turned into sold bikes... so call your local specialized dealer and see if they have any coming in and if they do put a sold deposit on one soon because that's gonna be the only way of securing one soon. Is it possible to get this outfitted with mechanical Dura Ace instead of ultegra Di2?
You can you would just have to pay more money for that group set and run it. You can’t make it like thag from stock
How do you get that color when and that groupset when the pro build comes in a white with sram groupset on specialized website? Just curious?
they have two Pro models which is very weird for this year. there all the same price but there is a Shimano spec with ultegra di2 but does not come with a power meter and the sram version that is a 1x12 version that is equipped with a power meter.
The strangest thing is that they are both the same exact retail price but one of them you get an included power meter. You have to be a major fan of shimano to pass up on the white.

What would you say is max weight here? I sit around 180 and worry about being a bit too heavy.
not at all they recommend on all of there carbon bikes 250-285, im 195 on here and beat the crap out of all my bikes lol
@AG Coarseman they say it can handle 250 on here, i dont know if I would trust it
This frameset and finishing kit with hunt wheels and a power meter comes in at $6168...
For sworks?
No...the S-works frame is 2000k more than the Specialized frame (5000 vs 3000). But in my opinion the S works frame is overpriced.
mayalman ahhh okay so that’s a nice deal right there
GC Performance have you ridden one...what are your thoughts?
mayalman yes I rode the pro.
Can the stem and bars be changed out for a different brand?
yes it can be but it just wont hide the cables as well because the stem that comes with a bike has a spot for the cables to be ran under neath it but there are tons of people riding this bike with a different stem configuration.
Will those rims work with 23m tires?
I personally wouldn't recommend it, 23 mm is bone-shaking too.

Nice ride love the color!
The color is amazing, I’m in love with it. I wish they made an Sworks frame that color
