    Thank you! Great review. Finally, Aero and Climber as one! I believe this is the same stem as last year's Venge? I agree with the need for adjustability, which fully integrated cockpits don't allow for, but those face plate screw heads are a negative in the Aero department. Something like BMC's ICS (also adjustable) screwless "Hooked" top of the faceplate, with only two, aft facing, lower screws would have been great to see here.

    • @GCPerformance18
      @GCPerformance18  4 года назад

      yea hopefully they learn from this and just make it better and better but yes you are right it is the exact same system as the venge stem, just this tarmac stem is just more narrow so they can shave some weight off of the bike. It is an amazing bike though to ride its gonna be a game changer for specialized not to confuse there consumers on which bike to buy and make them have to think between the two.

    If one insists on having recent bike, I would go for s-works frameset + older clx50 wheels (amazing, and at least tubeless) + older sram red etap 11s. I should fit below 7000 USD. Which is what i have done with supersix hi-mod rapha. Unfortunately i had to buy entire bike on ultegra and sell all components.

    • @GCPerformance18
      @GCPerformance18  4 года назад

      yea thats always a good build or you can get some cheap shimano parts on the ebay, but the tough thing about the 11speed sram etap is finding that stuff, i have so many customers who want to replace parts on there bikes but the 11 speed etap is so hard to find because of how quick they phased it out. Its like they only had 11 speed disc for a year or two and then they stop making it so to find it in stock even form SRAM direct is very hard.

    • @indonesiaamerica7050
      @indonesiaamerica7050 4 года назад +1

      The new wheels are faster, lighter and priced the same. The only benefit you'd get would be if you really need tubeless. Comparing a CLX50 pair with GP5000 TL and the new set with GP5000 latex the new wheels and tires would be faster, lighter, and unless you have some irrational bias towards TL, easier to deal with. They'd still be faster and lighter with butyl. I'm not even sure the CLX64s are faster but they are even heavier.

      @GCPerformance18  4 года назад

      thats awesome!!! congrats, um, its not like the end of the world because once your seat is set then you really wont be touching it but you have to think thats a area where sweat does drip into alot, they probably put the battery in the seatpost before installing that and didnt want to have to remove the wires, its very easy to do just like 5-10 min of time and they probably saw it at the end of the build and just got lazy. Me personally I would get it done just because it will prevent corrosion from pooling o the inside of the bolt and for any reason if you have to remove the seatpost you dont want it to be a bigger pain then what it has to be.

    • @GCPerformance18
      @GCPerformance18  4 года назад +1

      @@shahirsikder3389 I'm not gonna say more aero because i don't think this tarmac model was out here to break the fastest aero times but its a bike that you can run for any occasion and bring anywhere. I will say it will be more comfortable and more compliant, the tarmac sl6 was known for being more comfortable and they carried that technology over, It is always gonna be lighter. If you have the money or the opportunity to buy the bike without draining yourself or stressing yourself i say do it. It truly an amazing bike for an occasion and you will be comfortable riding it and performing on it.
