I've been trying to decide if I wanted one of these or not since seeing clips on Instagram. Seeing this, I think I'm going to get it. This looks so good

I used to have a rotisserie cooker and it was so annoying that I got rid of it - annoying because it was GIANT and it heated up everything around it. The food was great, but not worth the other draw backs. I looked for a rotisserie oven insert and was thrilled to actually find this. We get whole chickens from a local homesteader, but my husband goes and buy rotisserie chickens from the store. *facepalm* I'm very excited to receive mine and get to cooking with it. 🙂 Thank you for sharing your experience with it!

Thank you for your review and smacking that bird and taters. I’ve grilled “beer can” chicken. If you’ve prepared a beer can chicken, how would you compare it to this method?

Thanks for watching! I’ve made many beer can chickens over the years. This method is better BY FAR. My wife and kids say it’s the best bird that I have ever made. That’s saying a lot coming from them. The RotoQ gets it done!

Whenever I do a whole chicken I cover it with butter and stuff it with butter and fresh garlic and it will fall off the bone

What was your total cook time for that bird?
I think a rotisserie that works in a smoker is "da bomb" - Thanks! - Cheers!

It was around 1 hour 15 mins. I always cook until the correct internal temperature is hit.

How many times did you have to crank the unit during the cook?

Can you crank it too much and pop???

Great question. It would take a lot of effort to do that. The unit gives very clear feedback when the spring is at its limit. I would need help from another strong person to take it past the limit.
