Wow. as A newbie to the channel I am honestly gobsmacked by your skill and enthusiasm. I did not know the door I was about to open. You are honestly phenomenal. Bravo!
I'm in the process of building a rivendell model, hybrid between the one in the pj movies and the one in the rankin bass version. Given I am a huge high elf fan :) Rohan never really clicked for me but your build is absolutely stunning.
The Battle Games In Middle Earth magazine is what got me into wargaming and is also how I built my first scenery. I'd love to work on some LotR scenery again seeing how just how awesome your boards are really inspires me to give it a go again. Thank you for your work!
Looks absolutely fantastic, great job, quick question did you think about storage before you built, or was that an after thought...happens to me all the time
Would be cool to see some 10mm terrain made from you in this fashion! I'm just getting started with terrain making and only use lotr in the 10mm scale. Still, great work and look forward to more videos!
Such an awesome video :) so many memories seeing those old clips again :) love it And you talk about patience - we aren't patient!!! We are just stubborn :D MOAR SBG!!! never mind that 40k rubbish ;) Cheers
I discovered your channel just like 2 weeks ago, because Brent over at Goobertown Hobbies mentioned you in one of his videos and seriously, it has been a long time, since I was so happy to find a youtube channel. I am a huge fan of the lord of the rings and your content is just what I need to scratch that itch a little more :) I might start the system in the future, at the moment I am just playing 40k, fantasy and Age of Sigmar, since that`s what my friends are playing. We also started working on boards and terrain, what would be your tip regarding a kind of beginner friendly lotr board from a crafting perspective?
Welcome Gary!!! Thanks for joining me mate :) It's definitely worth diving into, easily GW's best system. I think the most important thing from a terrain perspective is to build something that really inspires you so you don't run out of steam. I've got some Minas Tirith houses coming up which might work well, or maybe a Rohan scene using the new kits or just scratch building? Or something around whichever army you want to build?
Teddy bear fur? Brilliant! Also I wish this had been broken up into a few videos so we could see the process in more detail. Nonetheless, it looks great.
Your sets are just amazing, the only negative thing I can say is that the towers seem to big and not up to scale compared to the rest. If you scaled them down just a little, I'd be perfect, but if you settle with the same size it's still the best there is
Just in time haha . Any help on priming my xps ruins?? Couldn't find anything remotely " foam friendly" at Bunnings or Officeworks :( . Sick video man :)...."rohan home of the horselords and my childhood" xD
Shit sorrt dude though I'd replied!~The stuff from Officeworks is called Ironlak and I think you have to order it online and the pick up or get it delivered, otherwise Design Master, and Spring, are brands from floral wholesalers. Or you can seal the foam first, which I've never done myself but check out Jeremy from Black Magic Craft he should have a video on it. I think he uses a coat of PVA and modge podge maybe.
@@Zorpazorp cheers bro . If my aunty ever finds her old scrapbook I'll definitely send you a copy . It's got all her makeup and costume/set design from when she worked on elves and rohirim stuffs ... makeup mostly if I recall but still. Cheers

Size of the table depends o nthe game you are playing, LOTR is usually 4x4, with some bigger games like 6x4 or even very rarely 6x8. That's all in feet :)

Welcome aboard! Glad you're enjoyiong it all and thank you!
That modularity is genius! You moving the segments to the other side and having them match up was very satisfying to watch.
Haha cheers boy ❤
Lachie ‘But where to from here? Well I think it’s fairly obvious....’. Everyone ‘HELM’S DEEP!!!’ 😂
Oh yeahhhhhhh, fair hahaha
Love the way you can move the main boards to create a new landscape, innovative and great

The second build was for a client at the time so storage planned before hand, but the first time I was running blind!
Well done! Brilliant design and playability. I love that you can move the board's around the create different part of Edoras
Thanks so much John!
Yessss, finally so Middle earth stuff :)
Lots more to come! 9th edition only launches once so it's been hogging the limelight for a bit :)

Why oh why didn't they leave the buildings in place and make it protected, it would be a national treasure that millions would visit!
Tell me about it!!!
