Everyone has their happy place... this is mine. So many hard times would come about in my life, and I would just close my eyes and picture this beautiful house still standing after so many years and so many storms. It gives me strength everytime

Beautiful video. We try to get up to Ogunquit, we’re from NJ, every year and each time we have to visit the Nubble Lighthouse.

This was wonderful. I was a Pennsylvania boy who grew up visiting my Aunt and Uncle who live near Rochester/Dover NH. York was the main beach we went to and I love that lighthouse from an early age, and still do. Thank you for the wonderful tour.

Wow does this take me back! Back in the 70's we spent many vacations at a place across the way from the lighthouse. I think the property owner name was Ulen or Hulen or something but it was 6 or 7 cottages perched on a plot of land high on the cliff across from "johnny lighthouse". That's what we called it anyway. There was also some kind of cafe or restaurant on the same property where you could go get fresh lobster and bring back to the cottage and cook. There was also some goldenrod taffy place and some amusement park we used to walk to on the road into town. Great childhood memories, no idea how my parents knew of the place since we lived in NJ.

I grew up in NJ and in 1982 moved to Short Sands in York Beach. :) The amusement park is York's Wild Kingdom and is right up the street from Goldenrod.

I remember staying at the same place back in the 70's. I would have been about the same age

Until moving to California I used to rent a cabin at Nubble Point every fall.
