- Pastor Kemble reads from a public school Reader from 1899. This Reader was one that our great grandparents learned from when they were in school. It is full of virtue and wholesomeness. It is as though they were in an entirely different world back then.
May God help us to TURN BACK to the old paths and find the good ways once again!

When these teachings were removed from our schools, that was the beginning of the downfall that we are experiencing now.
It has been a gradual decline in incremental steps that I think most people did not even notice, but looking back, it is clear to us that it was an orchestrated plan of the enemy of God's people. And it's not just in the schools, either. Many churches have changed also, and not for the better. May God cause His people to wake up and begin to restore that which has been lost.
You got that right! I did not realize how drastically things have changed, but this really opened my eyes to that.

I do not think of myself as old, but I guess I am. I can remember when we started every school day with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance. I did not attend a 'Christian' school, but public school... but it was probably more Christian than Christian schools today are. We memorized Bible verses too. And you know what, there were NONE of the problems the kids today face in the schools. We all got along fine, we were sent to the Vice Principal for swats when we needed it, and I remember school as a happy time. We actually LEARNED back then, while today it seems my grandchildren are being indoctrinated more than anything else. So GLAD my daughter has taken them OUT of school and is now homeschooling them. Everyone should, but most cannot, due to the way the economy has taken such a downturn. God bless all the parents who care enough to do the best they can for their children. I feel the children are being targeted. We need more churches like this, old fashioned and Bible based, and we need the education system to go BACK to the way it was when I was a child.
