    I made this dish the other day and it was amazing! So fresh and healthy. I used a little goat meat, I even used a lil grounded crayfish as I heated leftovers on the stove. I will be making this regularly. Inexpensive and tasty! Up next is koki corn. Thank you so much Mia :)

      tasia coles Good to know Tasia! Is all about using the meat and ingredient you like best and make it into your own creation. I am just a step to the process, and you are the ground work. I am glad you took the step in learning something new. Is truly an awesome feeling. Thanks for the feedback! It means a lot to know I help someone learn something new.

      Hi Joycelynn Okezie, Happy New Year 😊 and hope you are doing well.
      I have tried multiple oils sometimes I go with affordability, which is what Canola and vegetable oil are known for.
      The preference in oil doesn't really affect the taste. You can use oil that triggers your curiosity. :)
      Can't wait to here all about your cabbage 😍.

    I hated this dish as a child ohhhh, they used to give it to us with fufu corn or rice but maybe I will try it now again

    • @MiasFabCuisine

      Tell me about it! That makes two of us. Cabbage and lots of other dishes were never in my favorite dish list. But all that has changed my dear. I crave and look for new things to spice up my menu, so I turn to the not-so-favorite dish list and make it my own. The way I would want it to taste or look like, is the way I prepare it. After all, is my kitchen so to speak. Take care m Elizabeth Ruth, is always fun having fun chat with you.

      Never liked cabbage as a kid!
      I think things changed for me with the arrival of service traité or whatever they call 🤣.
      Then cabbage became my favourite and I've been going for every time I'm in Cameroon.
      My sister inlaw cooks it so well but I never got round to learn from her.
      THANKS sis 👍🏾.
      Cooking it today!

    Looks amazing! What type of meat did you use?, and is there a Cameroon style recipe for gizdodo?(gizzard and plantain).

    • @MiasFabCuisine
      @MiasFabCuisine  9 лет назад +3

      tasia coles Hi Tasia, I used red meat, or oxtail. I think the way gizdodo is cook is the same as what Cameroonian called ¨ poulet DG¨ which is made with fried plantains and chicken.
      We fried the chicken and the dodo. Then prepare the sauce with fresh tomato including all of your spices, but with less water and stir to taste. When the sauce is ready you put the fried chicken; in your care gizzard and in about five minutes you add the fried plantains. Hope this help. I will make it sometimes, but not sure if my kids would like it that is why I am holding back. Have a nice day!

    Yes mami!!!good job. My question is did you boil the cabbage or just let it sit in water ? If you boiled the cabbage how long? Thanks please make more videos ooo

    • @MiasFabCuisine
      @MiasFabCuisine  8 лет назад +1

      Hello TheCamgirl25, thanks for the compliment! Yes I did boiled the cabbage. First you put a pot of water on the fire and allow it to come to boil, then put the sliced cabbage in the pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes or based on how tender you would like it. Stir and fill with you fingers to ensure is not too soft, because the cabbage would still have to go through a cooking process with the tomatoes. Hope I answered your question! Stay tune.

    I think the video is good but incomplete because you merely said after frying the onions and sliced tomatoes, you can now add some blended fresh spices but you didn't tell us the names of these blended green spices and as we all know there are so many fresh green spices in the world like green peppers, and other green leafy spices, just want to know the particular names of the blended green spices you used.

    • @MiasFabCuisine

      Hi Ndubisi Emmanuel Abanobi, happy Sunday and I really appreciate your comments and for being a fan. You help me to be better, and explain more rather than just assuming.
      I didn't list the spices because I have a video titled "Fresh/Blended spices" my creation. In that video, I listen all what the Blended spices entails.
      While making most of my videos I just mentioned the Blended spices without making it clear/known that there is a separate video where all those spices are listed in details.
      Please just look for Fresh/Blended spices within my videos and you will see what exactly is included in my Blended spices creation.
      Thanks again for watching and for being a fan.
      Take care, and stay safe 🙏

      I think you can! We can do anything we put our minds into. In Cameroon itself, the possibilities are endless especially with all the freshly grown vegetables available. Greens, hoguberry, water leaf, eru, garbage, roasted corn with plum...the list goes on. I believe in setting our minds to do the things we want our minds to do. Take care Freedom Speaks and remember, we are more than capable.

      Freedom Speaks just cook n leave out the meat. Growing up we were mostly vegetarians its so easy to be a vegetarian in Cameroon bc vegetables n fruits 🍉 every where oooo! Chaii Cameroon eeee
