D Neira Aussie commentators, especially the man, were much better and more fair to the American Kenin, than the US commentators who were still upset it wasn’t Coco or Serena in the final. US commentators kept saying Kenin moved to the US at age 2, not true, parents came to the US 10 yrs before Sofia was born and only returned to Moscow for a few months to have baby Sofia with their Russian family.
I believed in a big comeback from Muguruza, she did not fully materialize in this final, she cracked Kenin has demonstrated a formidable strength of character ... to see more because the Alep Ozaka ... etc have demonstrated everything and its opposite

She did it! A thoroughly deserved win for Sofia! You could have put a bet on this match after hearing the commentators carry on about "on paper" bla bla bla as usual. It's just like the news on TV - turn everything around 180 degrees and you have the truth or in tennis, the winner. In the men's final tomorrow you can put your money on Thiem, just because the pundits have been looking at their stats for too long and are unable to see that the predictions on paper are not always correct.
I agree. This final is like so many of the women’s recent final, underwhelming and basically bad! It’s always one way traffic, one girl direct, the other just falter. There is no fighting. Like I get that pressure is high, but to went from great player to pretty crappy one, and that your game falter so hard that you double double faults is just ridiculous, or that all you do is reacting to your opponent’s shots and not one dictating the shot even though you are serving is mind blowing >_< it makes my blood boil just to watch them play, wtb more quality women final!

Always one girl fight and one girl falter, there isn’t much great about it. You don’t feel or see their fighting spirit and their games keep falter at the second of pressure -.- almost which they do 5 set like the men because atm its a disgrace
