In the past, he turned his back on HSM because he wanted to be seen as a "legit actor" instead of the "High School Musical guy" so it made sense for him to be a little dismissive of it. But he's well established now, and he's broken out of that image, not to mention it's been over 15 years since he filmed HSM3. Enough time has passed for him to embrace the franchise and look back at it fondly.

I think he struggled with depression and body dismorfofobia after the highly success of those and baywatch. There were tons of factors. He also removed himself from Hollywood. Still works on productions of movies but he developed an addiction to drugs that gave him that same UPPER high he got from being insanely successful so young. But eventually he developed the addiction and went to rehab but that broke things off with Vanessa. Sadly that was also the same time he did baywatch and again body image issues so he left, I don’t blame him. He’s super talented. I really enjoyed The Iron Claw, the dedication that Zac and the cast put into the art was unbelievable. Made me go home and research all about the Von Erich’s, that’s a sign of a good movie!
I watched Charlie St. Cloud last night for the first time ever and it is brilliant. I liked him in the HSM and Baywatch and think that he is great at singing, dancing and comedy but good gosh, when he gets to the emotional scenes, he really goes for it. That courtroom scene at the end of 17 Again, gut wrenching.
Super excited for The Iron Claw. I’m a big wrestling fan, A24 fan, and Efron fan. So this all works out. Wouldn’t have thought dude from HSM would’ve ended up being a favorite of mine. But here we are lol And Pattinson is Batman. My high school aged self would’ve never believed it 🤣👍🏼😊

.... i don't understand why people say this about celeberty who is super famous and has their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
@@Kanoog Umm, he has had a star for a matter of days. Also, being “super famous” does not mean much.
I really enjoyed The Iron Claw, the dedication that Zac and the cast put into the art was unbelievable. Made me go home and research all about the Von Erich’s, that’s a sign of a good movie!
He's had many movies. He's become a very good actor. Way to go, Zac. Wishing you nothing but continued success. 🎬
I still can't believe what he did to his face -- Zac, dude, get it undone.
Very humble and versatile 🫶🏻 love him
he’s so underrated ugh he’s forever one of my favorite actors and celebrity crushes
I don't think I can express how much I love this man
Join the club
He truly seems like a genuine, down to earth guy.
the respect he has for his cast mates and co stars is awesome
Zac efron is really talented person. He can sing, dance and act.😊❤
Love him so much. Such an underrated actor. Little me will always love Zach
sorry. Zac
I just loooove hearing him talk about the good old memories while shooting HSM!!
Love how he remembers most of these moments as “fun”
17 Again is so amazing performance from him
one of my childhood movies
I watched Charlie St. Cloud last night for the first time ever and it is brilliant. I liked him in the HSM and Baywatch and think that he is great at singing, dancing and comedy but good gosh, when he gets to the emotional scenes, he really goes for it. That courtroom scene at the end of 17 Again, gut wrenching.
In the ambulance in Charlie St Cloud 😭 he was so good in that
He is so talented! They didn’t even mention the lucky one, hairspray, or extremely wicked, shockingly evil and vile
Watching this man recently, it has occurred to me that Zac Efron is easily one of the greatest acting talents out there today.
Super excited for The Iron Claw. I’m a big wrestling fan, A24 fan, and Efron fan. So this all works out. Wouldn’t have thought dude from HSM would’ve ended up being a favorite of mine. But here we are lol And Pattinson is Batman. My high school aged self would’ve never believed it 🤣👍🏼😊
I hope he does another musical. I love him in musicals! He's a good actor and a good man. I like he has such an eye and ear for things. I didn't realize he was so good at improv. I should've known it or guessed it but didn't.
I actually never realized just how many movies this guy was in.
I can't with his new face ... he used to have a perfect face
He still does, whoever did the cosmetic surgery after his accident didn’t do a great job.
Underrated movie: THE PAPERBOY omg cant believe it wasnt mentioned here
zac efron you will always be loved
Him basically wearing the same Shirt in the Video like in the Clip from HSM 1 just made me realize how much bigger he got in the last 17 years lol
At the rate he's going just imagine what his face will look like when he's 40
The Bogdanoff twins come to mind
