its because now you're competing with other blue checks on the algorithm. you used to not have to compete with a 0 follower account, but now twitter sees blue checks as more important. this is confirmed by elon.

Elon needs to get rid of these family friendly filters on X. They absolutely fuck the algorithm and incentives for people posting. I don't want to vote in polls about my favorite ice cream flavors (it is strawberry cheesecake) or be asked "what do you think of this???🤔" with a generic video.
