“The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality of happiness, and by no means a necessity of life.”
Abdul Taha Being wasted 24/7 would've probably made her felt happy, but she would be living a lie, just like her having faith in something that doesn't exist
Well, I don't know, isn't being happy about a bad situation rather.... bad? I mean, instead of being content and happy with the current situation in the country, shouldn't they rather be unhappy about it, and wanting it to change? How can they give their best to change society for the better, if they are happy despite the bad things happening? Being unhappy for some time is nothing bad, sometimes being unhappy is needed to change oneself, or others, or things for the better. And I certainly don't hope Guatemala shares it's happiness about bad situations with the rest of the world. Imagine where that would lead us, if the whole world would be happy with bad situations. Now don't get me wrong and confuse Happiness with Hope. People should never lose their hope, but they also shouldn't be happy about a bad situation.
I'm from Guatemala, You are not pesimist you are realistic, I'm from Guatemala and is sad, because many people die everyday, many people live a bad life because they can be killed.
shukr (thankfulness towards God) + sabr (patience + perseverence) = happiness
Personally I think....
Wanting for nothing (have all your needs met) + good friends/family = happiness.
Those are the same words in Indonesian. 💛
+Mia Djojowasito Indonesia is muslim, so yeah, we share the same view and use the same words (arabic term from the Quran)
