My wife and I just got back from a trip to Spain (such a weird time to travel!), but we took advantage of the relatively smaller crowds to visit Barcelona and to take a Devour Tour. I just wanted to take a second to say how wonderful it was. Even with us being seasoned Spain travelers and history-and-culture nerds we still learned a fair amount and it was a great opportunity to have more personal contact in some locations we would not necessarily have tried on our own. And the guide, Valentina, was fantastic.
I miss Spain.I miss Spanish food.I miss the get togethers at the bars. And i love you guys too!Best of luck with your new arrival.Much love from Australia!

OMG I haven't been to Madrid since April 2019 and am getting serious withdrawal symptoms. Madrid is the most brilliant and underrated city in Europe. Love the vid!
It is always nice to watch videos of things that I am totally not familiar with. Thank you for the great and informative video and work that you put into this
So glad to see a notification for your latest video! I was getting concerned. No time to watch at the moment but I will certainly enjoy watching it later today. Happy Sunday from NY!😀
@@spainrevealed Hmm, I wonder what could be happening. Congratulations if it has already happened! I hope you won’t wait too long before introducing your viewers to your bundle of joy.👶🎉🍾
So thankful for your channel! I will be living in Madrid for a year, starting in September (if all goes well.) I've been watching your channel for over a year now, waiting for the day I could start my countdown to being in Madrid! Good luck with everything, sending you both lots of love and well wishes for the days ahead!
Great video as (almost) always! Now, Docamar is quite well known and good quality, and the other places you recommend seem all very good, but, I would suggest you include in your reviews some places in richer or more posh neighborhoods. They would be as authentic as those and many would be absolutely fantastic (and not much more expensive). Just try Taberna Cachivache, calle de Serrano 221, for example. Or just at the outskirts, in La Moraleja, the terrace of Aspen restaurant. Both are outstanding IMHO. There there are many, many more.
Ahhh the memories. Bar Toboggan is where we met Yoli and yourself, so it's straight away one of our favorites. Went for a Sunday morning pre Rastro walk and saw both Terraza Collins and the terraza on Calle de la Moreria with the view. Can't wait for our chance to get back. Fully vaxed and ready to go. Just waiting for the Australian government to relax our borders. In the meantime, thanks again for all the videos and info. We're sending all our love and best wishes to you and your lovely wife for the upcoming birth of your daughter.
Had my first small dinner party with non family members since Jan 2020 (fully vaxed) and I did a Spanish tapas theme. For one dish I used your Gambas recipe. It was a huge hit. Thanks
Best of wishes on the upcoming blessed event! Thanks for the new video! I will definitely add these places to my list for the next time I am able to travel to Madrid. I’m realizing that I’ve never really explored Casa del Campo; it looks beautiful! Un abrazo a los dos 💕
Yeah! Another great video. Sorry, haven't commented in quite a while but we still, never miss an episode. Great tips. Fingers crossed, we'll be back in Madrid for 2 weeks in February. I can't believe that after nearly 20 years of visiting, never been to Casa De Campo. I've always wanted to go. This year is a "must see".
Congratulations for you first baby.Me and my wife will there this end of August till end of September and we are very excited to be back there. Keep all the videos and suggestions coming. Its very helpful especially for us that is coming soon.

Nice to see you hanging on fine with your videos. If you can recall we were part of a Granada Olive Oil excursion in 2016. Hoping to come over to Spain once international flights are permitted from my country. Enjoying as always your videos.
It's quite hot here in Valencia too, and like Yoly, I have a fan on hand wherever I go. Yes, do get the Madrid wine, when visiting Madrid. Their local wine is very good. Thanks for sharing this video and I hope to take a train next year and stop by. Best wishes on the upcoming birth of your girl. I am happy that you will have more love to share in your family unit. James, it would be cute if you are in the delivery room, telling your daughter as she is being born: "venga, let's go" !!!
Been looking forward to this vid. Love it! Big fan of Quintana too. Another great terraza near there is La Manduca which is kind of tucked away behind “El Colmen” the big housing complex 😊
Hi James and Yoly, we were at Las Vestillas 2 days ago, right before the flamenco show at Coral de la moreria. You guys were right about the food at this place but the view can't be beat. Me and my family really enjoy watching your videos. All the tapas (and churreria) places you've recommended were all a hit! We tried to deviate from our original plan and we ended up at a tapas bar that served inauthentic paella (frozen)....we should have followed your recommendation! 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the good work and more power to your channel.
Will definitely check out some of the places you suggested guys. We are visiting Madrid for 3 days in May. Thanks both of you for your videos. Super helpful xx
So great seeing the stunning Yoly waiting for the baby's arrival.. James and Yoly you are both amazing as usual. All the best for the arrival of your little one! Mary in Montreal.

Wow Yoli you are looking fab! Glad it’s been a bit cooler for you these past few days! Hoping all goes smoothly! My youngest was born in La Paz and they were lovely in the maternity ward! Wishing you the very best!!🥰
Yeah Plaza Olavide is nice. My friend told me to go there and wait for him to pick me up, so I only had a beer and can't talk about the food.. But really nice and chill place and in walking distance from the city center. Apart from that it's just a blessing to have a local friend. I just let him decide where we go to eat and have no idea where I've been, but always great food. Been to Madrid twice the last year and think I'll go again in October. Lovely city.

Restaurant Atico on the 6th floor of the 5 star Principal Hotel on Calle del Alcala. Superb restaurant but check in early to enjoy a drink on the terrace beforehand. It's not cheap but well worth it for an occasion and worth every penny. It's hard to believe you're in the centre of Madrid. Excellent staff and service and a chilled out experience. The views from the terrace are terrific.
Visited Madrid this week and thoroughly enjoyed the flamenco dance show at Las Carboneras was amazing. Thank you for the suggestion. Hope the baby has arrived safely and both baby and mother are doing well.

Hey guys, very nice vídeo, I see you spread other "barrios" outside the center, I recomend "Las Ventas de Velazquez" en Getafe, and probably there are many others good bars around Madrid city for sure, even me I have to discover
You said the skewer changed from lamb to pork bc it became a catholic country after the Moors. Whats that about? I grew up catholic and dont remember any preference of meats? Sounded weirdly interesting. Congrats as well. And Yoly’s purple jewelry is very stylish. Thanks for the vids!
Lovely video, as usual, and congratulations on your video. I lived in Madrid for well over 16 years and have family living there, so I visit often. The terraces are nice, yes, but they have gotten out of control. The level of noise they generate well into the late hours of the night is often unbearable (avoid Chueca, Chamberí, Ponzano and similar areas...). Living "a la madrileña" is fun for a few days, then it becomes a nightmare, IMHO.
