Totally impressed...great pond and filters....outstanding recovery after the cement pour...what a bunch of cowboys
Yeah i couldn't believe my luck lol, but turned out ok in the end. Thanks mate,
When you watch it back it makes you appreciate the finished product all the more - BEAUTIFUL Job
Thanks mate, Very true,
@@BlingKingMarvellous Could you do a video on how you set up your DIY filters?
Top job and a great comeback from the concrete mess you were left with, now you get to sit back and enjoy.
Rob.
Thanks Rob, these things are sent to test us i guess lol, worth it in the end tho.
Excellent!!
Nice pond thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Wow what a beauty,my style too im busy with a koi pond to now my 3th. Lots of work but when you sit in your chair at this, you hard work was worth it.
Do you have a more detailed video of the finished filters and maybe a filter clean video ? They look excellent well done !
New koi pond looks amazing fish looking really healthy and enjoying the new pond as well. Nice work mate
Thanks Nick, Appreciated.
Wow wow wow dream pond .well done mate hard works pays off stunning pond 👍🏻happy ponding
Wow my heart sank when I saw the concrete , can’t think of anything worse when you worked so hard to get things perfect, hope the nightmares have stopped😂, but wow what a recovery looks absolutely stunning fella, 💯
Fair play to you for keep going after the concrete disaster. Great pond.
Great job. Looking really good. Nice fish.
Fantastic upgrade congratulations on a stunning looking pond 👌
Thanks Glynne, It was a ball ache at times, but worth it in the end, And I've learned some stuff over the winter period that i didn't allow for, but all been resolved now so onwards and upwards from here hopefully.
Wow everything you’ve done was great. 👍👍👍 it’s a work of art.
But don’t get me wrong , the 2 pvc doesn’t go along with the beauty of the pond.
The pvc from the box?
Beautiful job Sir, a real credit to your skills. Shame about the concrete dickheads though!
Thankyou mate, appreciated 👍
Absolutely blinding pond mate you’ve done a bloody good job 👍
Handsome pond there mate. The move to build the filter house first is smart. Excellent video. Subscriber #43. Keep up the great work.
Really enjoyed your pond build dun great job sorry about bad luck you had 👍
Thanks Dave
Looks good, usually things comes out better when you do it yourself 👍
Your right mate, If your able to, better off just doing it yourself lol
Wow cracking build, impressed with how you recovered from the cement nightmare you should of just done it yourself like you said.you have a keen eye for detail filters are quality to wouldnt change them at all same result as any Nexus :) topjob thanks for sharing
Thanks Kev, A couple of people have suggested the filters will work just as well as the nexus, If they end up running ok with no issues then maybe i will save myself a grand and keep them, Just depends how much agro the cleaning will be on the sponges lol.
@@BlingKingMarvellous if the cleaning is a pain, keep the moving bed and stick one of the cheap drums in front of it. About the same cost as a nexus and much better, near maintenance free, mechanical filtration.
Beautiful pond, great job!
This looks awesome
Thanks mate, didn't turn out to bad thankfully lol
The photo of the dog is GOLD. Great end result and beautiful fish, well done. What was the total cost ?
I would hate to think lol, i'll try and have a work out. But just in case the missus see's this reply, It was around £150 for everything. That included 4 skips, all the bricks, the liner, cement pour etc etc, Oh and all the fish. Yes £150 sounds about right mate lol
@@BlingKingMarvellous 😉👍😀
Well done on the build it's great and all your own hard work. It looks larger than my pond so I am going to take a guess at the volume. 4200 gallons????
Hi, thanks for the comments, I think including the filters etc its around 2700 gallons. Dimensions are 4.9m length - 1.9m width - 1.2m depth . Depth wasn't as deep as i would of liked due to the concrete mess up. probably would have been close to another 10 inches in depth if it wasn't for their bodge up.
@@BlingKingMarvellous l think your pond is nearly the same size as mine. I don't know for certain as I messed up measuring it when I filled for the first time e.g. stopping let a bit out and refilling etc. The only way I will know now is a fully drain and refill
nice pond, and i probably woulndnt bother down grading to a smaller nexus from your present filter system ;)
hi i had a nexus eazy pod 18watt uv the water was no where as good as that now using a oase filtoclear 16000 24 watt uv
Hi Andrew, Thats good to know hmm. I think mine looks clear atm as its a relatively new pond. I will know more in the summer months if it still stays as clear, Fingers crossed it does then i wont bother with the nexus and save myself £1000 lol, How are you finding the filtoclear ?
best to get the filtreu drum filter its a combi £1900 algram uv light fitted
I would love a pond like that, enjoy it 👍
If you don't mind sharing how much did all of it cost?
And can this pond be run on these filters only for long term?
Beautiful job
Cracking build that mate turned out well in the end well done 👍
beautiful job all round what size are your discs on your moving bed i have something simmular made my air rings but does nt seem to be working as good as yours regards gary
Hi Gary, Thanks for the comments, I think they are 8 inch or 9 inch discs, running separately on 2 air pumps, a 70L pump and a 60L pump, There is approx 125L of k1 in a 500L box to give you an idea of how much is currently turning over, But i will add more and see if it still moves ok.
@@BlingKingMarvellous thanks m8 that helps me a lot be safe
Hi pal, looks great, do you mind if I ask where you got your cladding and coping from?
Hi Paul. Cladding was from higgings Cladding, The colour was called Lakina Graphite, you have to buy the straight bits in boxes, and the corners in boxes, so will need to have an idea what u need mate, link is www.higginscladding.co.uk/product/delos-white/
And the coping stones were from PricesPaving, think the colour was Stockholm , link is www.pricespaving.co.uk/product/porcelain-steps-risers/
You can have samples sent to you of all the colours they do, which i did. Hope this helps mate
@@BlingKingMarvellous that’s great thank you I thought it was Lakina Graphite as I have seen it before, was just put off by having to work out the corners etc. It looks great though so well worth putting the prep in!
Nice looking upgrade! Where did you get the box welded liner from?
Hi Adam , The liner came from a company in Essex, that have been around for years. They can send it by courier if your not within travelling distance, Hope this helps. www.butylproducts.co.uk/product-tag/made-to-measure-pond-liner/
Nice job ,what’s the dimensions of the pond ?
Hi, thanks, its 5m x 2m

lovely set up just subscribed
Very nice pond well done.
How many gallons are you at now?
Hi mark, I'm now at approx 2700 gallons. The old 1 was about 1000 so it's a bit more room than before. Thanks
really nice pond - well done for overcoming the issues. Can i ask where you got the grey tiles for the sides and the coping stones.

@@BlingKingMarvellous Awesome thankyou, going to upgrade my pond which i built 10 years ago. Thanks Again, have sub'd :)
Wow
cracking pond water sparkling what filter you got
Hi Andrew, Nothing special mate. I have a 500L filter box that has 2 x 4 inch inlet pipes from the drains. Both of those pipes have 400 micron socks on them. Easy to clean them once a week rather than the sponges each time. then the box itself has the usual 3 colour sponges, and some cotton wool for polishing. from there it goes into another identical 500L K1 moving bed with approx 130L of k1 in it. Then returns to the pond. There is also an old green sieve that runs off the skimmer for any surface stuff. Will be good to see how it performs in the summer.
Great Video - Have A New Sub from me in Chesterfield
Great video 👍
The pond came out amazing 😍
Check out my pond build too 👍
