I think the “homeless is a choice” might pulled Pete out cuz was kinda like “people like you doesn’t get to be world champion” comment, kinda too real and uncomfortable, touching on real issues, race and social class. I kinda like because of it, it was a wrong thing to say but as a heel it helped in making Damian more sympathetic and relatable, you can see him kinda crying, it was great.
Also wasn’t helped by Vega being squashed
yeah it didn’t land with me either. it felt cheap and not really what Gunther is about imo? he’s a twat don’t get me wrong, but he’s always been a twat who’s a better wrestler, not someone who flexes his status or money.

I loved the Drew section because all he had to do was apologise to two innocent bystanders he hurt and he'd get everything he wants but doing so would be admitting he was in the wrong which he is pathologically incapable of doing.
The Gunther comment I heard it and it took me back for a second thinking "wait whu?" then within a couple of seconds "ah no that's great what a terrible thing to say, go get those boos for him and sympathy for Priest"
I also vaguely remember punk apologizing to the refs in one of his promos too. Like an offhand line that went back into his main point. I'd have to go back and check. If he did it's even better cuz then drew doesn't even have that as an excuse.
The DQ joke was in reference to Dairy Queen. DQ is what we call it in the states.

Gods I loved the discussion on the Damien/Gunther segment. The thoughtfulness and insightfulness of it was just superb. I align totally with both Pete and Dan in terms of taste. Great episode with this duo.
Sheamus abandoned Brawling Brutes months before he got injured when he started teaming with Drew and BB were shown without Sheamus the majority of the time. Perfectly reasonable that Dunne might be a bit miffed about that. Always thought Dunne was better as a Heel anyway
I can definitely see Dom helping Liv win at Summerslam, and have he and Rhea interact on RAW after and finally address the elephants in the room; Dom accuses Rhea of using him the whole time, and the New Judgment Day kick Rhea and Damien out
Yeah the thing is that up until now Dom has chosen Rhea, but I think it’s going to play out that now that Rhea is back that’s when Liv’s mind games are going to work on him and he’s going to think the grass is greener on the other side and he will choose Liv.
The Drew an Punk segment an storyline is great an so is Bo Dallas but the Eric Rowen segment an promo is is best promo of the year.

The biggest thing I am worried about with the blurring of reality with Bo and Rowan, is what do you do with the other 3? Nikki, Joe and Dexter have no ties to Bray and the Wyatt family and don't really (outwardly and obviously) have the same level of trauma as the other two so I'm worried that the three of them are going to feel lesser because of that
One angle could lean on is the loss of family, Gacy lost Scicsm and was left alone in NXT, Nikki was already driven mad by Alexa, and was supposed to reunite Sanity but fell through. And Dexter, well i guess he lost The Way, but for him i think he’s just there to enjoy the serial killer vibes
Rowan is probably the most sane member, but coerced by Bo to join at his lowest point, the rest are already crazy/psychotic. Makes me think Rowan will be the one to break away first at the end of the run.

Liv should definitely win at Summerslam. It feels like this feud has not even hit its peak yet. Still feel like both Rhea and Priest will get backstabbed at the PPV.
Sonya vs. Zelina only getting one minute was BS. It’s a 3 hour show. Do better.
The Tag Match was fun though.
The Priest/Gunther segment was great. It really added some needed fire to this story. Gunther is such a good heel.
Drew was awesome as usual.
The ending of the show was lame. Enough of the freaking DQ’s.

But Pete is best when he is vicious and yet shrugging. I need Young×Bitter Pete again. Because Pete Dunne should be a guy in those talks about best in the world. He has been so good, for so long, and at such a young age.
My favourite thing Gunther said was the part that was to the effect of “it’s not my fault your parents didn’t love you enough to provide for you properly.”
It’s such an evil thing to say but it’s a belief a lot of people hold sincerely

I liked the homeless like as a pure heel line.. but I get petes dislike.. a politician in the UK this year said Homelessness is basically a lifestyle choice.
When he said that, i remembered her saying that and how pissed off I was at her.

Beign a drug addict or mentally impacted are not choices so the point still stands
I like that Rhea wasn’t mad at Dom for what Liv was doing trying to seduce him, essentially showing that she’s too smart to fall for Liv’s mind games, plus it also makes sense with how Dom hasn’t actually given in to Liv yet - it’s all been very one-sided until last week, Rhea was mad at Dom for Dom’s own actions (or lack thereof) towards her while she was injured, not because she’s irrationally upset by another woman trying to seduce him when Liv is obviously only doing that in the first place to get under her skin. I liked that touch, it makes Rhea feel like a real person not someone who is only acting a certain way because the storyline demands it
Notice how Dan is crying about how it's so "progressive" when Rhea said the exact same thing Dom said.

Seeing as Dan is an actor, he really should be ashamed of himself when he doesn't get very well known TV or movie references.

This might be an unpopular opinion. I feel like Chad is the wrong person to be involved in all this Wyatt Sick stuff. I’ve liked all the segments we’ve gotten, but Gable was already in his own storyline that hasn’t really gotten a proper conclusion yet.
Plus, I feel like so much steam has been taken out of Otis/Alpha Academy as well. Otis was getting big reactions from the crowd, but he’s barely done anything since leaving Gable.
Even the Creed Brothers didn’t really benefit from this. First of all, they should have joined him at Clash at the Castle to help Chad win the IC belt, I’ll die on that hill. More importantly, their first action together is beating up Bo Dallas, who just laughs at them, and then running from the rest of the Wyatt Sicks.
I really don't want to be a hater but can we please not have Pete on the podcasts. He's difficult to watch and I always feel like he's just saying what he thinks he should be saying or what he's heard others say... Sorry!

As someone not following the product I was so confused by priest being a smiling baby face the whole show outside of his match where the crowd was so much more behind Stowman and Priest was basically working as the heel

My problem with the Rhea/Liv/Don stuff, is that at the opening promo, Liv says she was using Dominik to hurt Rhea.. that’s good, but then immediately backtracks and says she just liked Dominik and wants Dominik, and I don’t think THAT was an attempt to hurt Rhea. That’s stupid
I saw that not as an attempt to hurt Rhea, but to keep pulling Dom towards her

@@noahturtle3975Dom is used as a prop for Liv to anger Rhea. People complained when women were the object being fought over by 2 men at least here the women aren't the ones who exist to be "won" by a man.
I think that Rhea is basically gonna use Dom as bait to get her hands on Liv before SummerSlam. Also, I think Liv flip flopping is her realizing she can get under Rhea's skin even further... That or, to quote Deadpool, that's just lazy writing
Liv said she was using Dominik to get to Rhea 1st but started to actually like him which we don't know if her character is serious about or trying to manipulate him even further.
The apology segment was just dumb. Why would fans care of drew apologizes? The fans want the match so Adam Pierce keeping the match away from fans over an apology nobody cares about puts the heat on the authority figure not the wrestler
I went to the show but haven't consistently watched WWE in a few years and it felt like way to much talking compared to wrestling but Rhea was clearly the most over outside of punk
that Gunther promo was lame and cheap. It was clearly done to get a babyface reaction for Damien but the problem is that's not the Gunther you've been showing us for the last few years so it made the whole segment seem quite obvious as to what they were trying to do and the whole thing just came off as lame.
its clear they wanted to have priest be a face early but rhea getting hurt put everything on pause. now they're speeding it up which is kinda lame but for the best in the long run and way more interesting than the cuck champion thing they had the last couple months lol

So, here's the tough reality on the "homelessness is a choice" controversy: every single social worker who deals with the homeless, especially those in San Francisco and L.A., will tell you that they know almost zero homeless people who are just down on their luck in terms of economics, or who were simply normal citizens who just law their jobs and became homeless. A decent percentage of homeless people in the U.S. have mental illnesses (which is obviously not a choice), but an even greater majority have drug abuse problems to the extent that they've burned all their bridges (usually multiple times) and destroyed all the relationships in their lives through their drug habits. Now, while addiction is not something to be scoffed at, the far-liberal idea that all of these people are purely victims has been thoroughly disproven, and the extreme-liberal policies (see Governor Newsom's disastrous 'Housing First' policy and why it failed miserably) to try and deal with homelessness simply made has the problem much worse. Therefore, the brutal reality is that drug addiction IS indeed a choice the vast majority of time, even though many drug addicts have had pasts to be pitied, and a majority of homeless people in the U.S. are drug addicts; this, in turn, tells us that homeless is definitely often down to poor choices, although at times it is not a choice.
