Have you seen the Nalgene canteens? I prefer them over the green GI canteens because there’s no plastic taste. I wouldn’t worry too much about the aesthetic of the pack. There’s something cool about the mismatch. I RIT dyed a desert camo assault pack and made it OD. I made a couple of YT videos on it because I like how it turned out. I love pouches myself. I hate digging through my pack for small stuff. I feel blessed that I can get most pouches and packs pretty cheap here in the US. I probably would have gone with another canteen pouch or two so as to not lose pocket space. You can get UCP canteen pouches pretty cheap here. Nice job on the video.

The nalgene canteens are harder to find in my part of the world and usually they are quite expensive, so i always go with the cheaper GI stuff, still works fine. Nice one the the dye job, guna check it out now! And yeah i love accessorizing my packs with pouches, if there's PALS webbing i'm bound to make use of it somehow

200 round SAW pouches will each hold a 2qt canteen. Or whatever. I have a TABS canteen straw that works great with the 2qt canteen.

Never tried that, i may now that you've suggested it, thanks for that! Always looking at pouches in terms of how i can carry my water, as anywhere outside the US you're liable to get arrested if you carry ammo around😅

@@thatpackguy I just dug 2 out. They fit on the bottom 3 rows, with a little work The bottom sticks past the pack base about 3 inches. But I think you can handle it. TBH 4 qts of water on the bottom of the pack may be a bit much, but you could pack other stuff. I also have 2 Add a Pouch pouches that fit perfectly on the sides. Their full length, slim, maybe 3 inches wide. M81 camo. From U.S.Cav before they became a cop shop. They were made for Alice rucks. Perfect for rain gear.
