    At the 7:33 mark. Are you using your stereo to read live data from your Previa?

      Yes, Android 7.2 Stereo with TOYOBD Scan Tool. Reason why I got the stereo was so I could monitor my van all the time.

    Hi! Nice & clean, especially the Manifold ~new looks! [This maybe a little off the subject, bu need advise to fix stalling at stop signs ; or when Previa is parked standstill while engine On cycling warm at normal operating temperatures]. Our (basic ‘93 LE) Previa is still smooth driving at high speeds and even while goin slow ~after all these years from when we bought it brand new. The problem now only occurs when stopped or at standstill while engine is running. With the EGR parts & Throttle Body removed. What would be the best possible Solution remedy to cleaning the Passage inside Manifold from the EGR (visible) valve to the EGR temperature sensor forward on to inlet, intake affront?

      @TaragoPreviaEstima  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching and your comment. I would clean the Auto Idle valve under the throttle body if you have idle problems. Also, check the intake air channel for air leaks. A common problem is the rubber hose connecting the intake air channel to the throttle body. It looks good at a glance so a lot of the time it is overlooked. try and flex it and see if it has cracked. Check for error codes as well, The O2 sensor might be faulty. General service things like. good oil, new plugs, and leads, Clean fuel injectors will help as well.

      @@motorcyclemike1299 Hi, Yes 1990-1999 Tarago and Previa also Estima are the same mechanically however there are also AWD and SC builds so comparing Apples with Apples if we talk about the basic models they are the same excluding the RHD and LHD options of the van itself. The rail comes off rather easily. Better than trying to explain how I will get you to watch this part of the Head removal clip. This part shows removing the fuel rail. ruclips.net/video/WZqA3SvlIk8/видео.html focus on 10:02 removing the rail only. You don't need to remove everything else you will see in this clip. Can a bad tps sensor cause poor idle, hesitation on acceleration, and horrible gas mileage?
    I have a 91 Previa. The codes Ive read on my van are for tps and egr. I checked the emissions lines and throttle body for carbon build up but everything looked clean. Never took off or replaced the egr valve. I have the famous whistle out of my exhaust in high rpm

    Do you have a link to purchase this "Android 7.2 Stereo with TOYOBD Scan Tool", I have 1992 Previa LE.

    • @TaragoPreviaEstima
      @TaragoPreviaEstima  2 года назад

      Sad to say, Due to bad circumstances in Canada the production for the scan tool has stopped at the moment. Answer to your question. No, it can be any Android device V4 to current. With Stereos, you need to make sure you buy one with the option to add Bluetooth devices manually. If the Unit Auto connects to BT with no BT option in settings the scan tool will not connect. You also need to make sure inside the ECU you have the pin labeled TE2. That pin is not wired into the harness from the factory so you need to run your own wire and not all Previa ECUs have that pin-out so you will need to have a look and maybe hunt down an ECU that does have it. Cheers

    I see the resting voltage when the tps is at idle is ~0.6v on your van.
    I have a 1996 Previa that seems to rattle when at idle and in drive. (Especially when AC is on)
    I connected my OBDII device and see the throttle position sensor reads 10% at idle. I am not sure how the % vs the voltage would be related.
    I don't have a multimeter but I am afraid of trying to adjust the tps to ~0% if its not a direct position percentage.

    • @TaragoPreviaEstima
      @TaragoPreviaEstima  3 года назад

      One thing is for sure the rattling isn't from the TP Sensor. The 10% reading could be from the Throttle Cable or Throttle Body valve not retuning 100%. Try disconnecting the Throttle cable and manually controlling the TB to see if that reading changes. The ECU could also be adjusting the idle if you are testing while the engine is running. Whatever the reason for that 10% reading it would only affect your idle making it a little higher in revs. Hope that helps. Cheers.

    • @vuilgatmusic7333
      @vuilgatmusic7333 3 года назад +1

      Thank you for the reply! I will go see if disconnecting the throttle cable will lower the tps %.

    G'day! :) So would you recommend complete removal of thottle body to clean it (plus the IAC) in order to avoid what you're doing in this video? Ie. dismantle it, clean it, and put it back; rather than clean it by putting a screw threw the hose (as you did in the other video). Apoplgies if I'm not making sense. Don't worry, my mechanic is going to help me !

    • @TaragoPreviaEstima
      @TaragoPreviaEstima  3 года назад +1

      Yes that would be the better option. I did a easy workaround. The IAC is known to clog up and the TB builds up with carbon so cleaning them both is a great idea.

      Btw: I’m also watching your video that describes water pump replacement, thank you! I thought I might have a head gasket problem as it’s overheating and spewing coolant even though there’s no apparent leak. But I removed the spark plugs and turned the ignition; there was no liquid expelled from the plug holes. All dry fuel. Does that mean that I definitely don’t have a blown gasket?
      Take care

    • @TaragoPreviaEstima
      @TaragoPreviaEstima  3 года назад

      @@viralmusicyoga If you are getting water in your oil or oil in your water as well then it could be just the water pump. If you are getting air bubbles in the cooling system it could be foam from mixed coolants or an air pocket trapped. I would replace the water pump and do a flush to start with because it is easier, cheaper, and worth doing. All the signs could make you think it could be a head gasket when it isn't. But if you are seeing a lot of steam and losing coolant then you would have a blown head gasket. After replacing the pump and doing a flush if you still see bubbles then I would suspect a head gasket. I will make a clip to try and help explain this a little better.

      So you have not had to replace your rear axle seals yet on your 92 Previa. If not you might want to do it now so the diff. fluid does not get into your wheel bearings. I have never done this and my drum and my brake pads on rear did not have any grease on them so I was hoping to replace the axle seal only and not have to press on/off the wheel bearings which requires a press to press on and off. I wished I knew someone that has had this leak and repaired it.
