Amazing work, great and direct talk through. thanks mate just done mine last night without your help i would have never finished. Thanks again keep the videos going👍
Iridium plugs are probably the easier and relatively cheap upgrade to any petrol engine. I've been running in several vehicles/motors iridium NGK or Denso, personally I prefer the Denso. But NGK are slightly cheaper. So the 2cyl. 2stroke outboard run NGK, the 1cyl 2 stroke 50cc moped also. The other 2 cars (petrol) run Denso. and the remaining 2 cars... forget it. They're diesel. :-) BTW 4 stroke snowblower and the other outboard (4 stroke) will also have Iridium when the time comes to change. :-) Definitely a good choice.
Thanks for teaching people to use copper grease (although maybe just a tad too much)!!! I was removing a spark plug and it snapped when taking it out - The ceramic completely separated from the threads - holy fuck, what a sound. Damage is $200 for a professional to look at it and hopefully fix it.
TheApothecaryAus Thanks for your comment mate, yes I do go on about things to much sometimes but I do try not to.. The whole ceramic!!!. Did it come out of the head of the plug as well? if all you are left with is the bolt part of the plug you could use a bolt extractor tool. looks like this www.bmpdesign.com/images/technical/tech_tips/spark_plug/2.jpg $14 or so you can get the tool you need to do it your self bit.ly/1K75PEZ
i.imgur.com/H7JjEfc.jpg not sure if that link will work. I tried using an ez-out/bolt extractor, and it started off okay but then it started to get super tight so I thought better leave it there and call someone who knows what they're doing.
Hi ive been watching your videos for a while now and i wanted to say thank you for all the great info Now im in the UK and have a 1994 previa. I decided to do a service and change the oil, spark plugs etc. I noticed the second spark plug from the left was really rusty and the ignition lead also snapped when i removed it. Unusually the other three were perfectly clean and shiny. I was wondering what could cause this. Regards Hasher
Hi mate I am trying to sort out the firing order of the distributor cap as it seems wrong. as I understand it the cylinders are from right to left. I am just not sure how things are on the distributor.
Do you have a video on changing the crankcase cover on the other side. I have leaks all over on that side but my valve cover has been done and not leaking. It looks like several parts have to be remove before getting that cover off but a least you don't have to remove the seats.
My 1991 Toyota previa's defrost has stopped working and I wanted to know if yours has ever broken and how you fixed it. I get heat just fine out of the dash vents and floor but no defrost.
Hey there so I took out all my spark plugs wires on my Toyota Previa 1993 not remembering where to put them back into. Do you know the placement of the wires to the engine like big one medium big one and medium small one and small one. I don’t want to place them in wrong and mess up the car. Hopefully you can help thank you !
Maybe a vid on exactly what ignition coil goes where on the distributor to the plug. Or is that not important? I think that's what people want to see/hear - not speeded up ratcheting from a tell nothing angle. Maybe mention the firing order too. But, that might break ya, eh?
why does no one want to show the actual plugging the wire to the plug? even this guy speeds up the video. not a normal setup. there is a long tube that has to be plugged into the spark plug. something is fishy. does it just pop on? what about unplugging them? you are supposed to grab the wire at the plug. clearly you cannot get to the base of the wire because of the long tube
mine was not looked after when I got it, I have done loads of things to it, not everything is recorded. I am very happy with the van. still have a long way to go with other things that need doing and things that don't need doing but I want it changed. surprisingly with the cheap old plugs and leads I took off she was still starting 1st go every go.

Thank you for making this! Starting work on a rough running Previa with 275k miles on it.

@@TaragoPreviaEstima Thanks again!
Where is the fuel filter located?

THANKS A LOT FOR THE VIDEO
I WANT TO KNOW THE RECOMMENDED GAP FOR MY PREVIA 95 LE (IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS)
Gap .043 In or (1.10mm)
how do u remove leeds they seem to have a plastic cap but tried hrs cant remove them
From the distributor cap there is a little clip you need to pull outwards and they slip off, From the plugs they just pull out towards you.
Have you got a link for leads and spark plugs
Thanks mate
At the end of this video and the names. Links change all the time. If you look up part names on ebay you will find plugs and leads. Thank You.
My 1992 Previa is UK right hand drive, which seat do I remove to change plugs?
Same deal, We have the same engine. Still remove the right hand side cover.
So drivers seat (UK) comes out?
Right Hand side seat. Yes
Previa the seat should fold back. Doesn't need to come out.
I have a previa too, the previa I have is a left hand drive since I live in the states.

could you please tell me the gap for tarago 2.4 2009 thanks
Workshop manual says the same gap on all plugs from 1990 - 2015 Tarago's / Previa Gap .043 Inches or (1.1mm)
Online workshop book you might like for 2006 till now toyotatarago.net/2006-2015/

You must be able to hear something we can't. You really need to lash your valves
Ours are not easy to adjust as we use Lash Cap Shims and it's a timely job to do. I do agree it would be a great idea to get it done.
