I have an i5 6500 and r9 380 4gb pc with 16gb of ddr4 and a kingston ssd. I have around 100fps on battle royale on perf mode low meshes and 1440x900 but if stutters and freezes like hell, and compared to this build, should i get more or less than this pc?

It will perform a bit better than the i5 6500 and later down the road you can upgrade to let’s say a 5600x and in the future future you can upgrade the 5600X to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D which is the best cpu on the AM4 platform. With the other CPU’s you don’t really have an upgrade path.

They both perform similar. The i7 is a bit better tho. If you find a good deal on any 8th gen optiplex, that would be a better choice. 8th gen intel cpus support windows 11.

dang hardware banned Loooooool. Depends on which I7. Since your hardware banned the main components that are banned is the motherboard, cpu and maybe the ram and gpu. So if you have around $350 to spend you can get an i5 12400 cpu and a LGA 1700 motherboard and some $50 3600MHZ ram. An rx 580 is decent for 1080p. Great news, 12100f and H610 combos for me is $116 Dollars after taxes and shipping. Not going for a b760 cause I need some money for 16gb of ram, and not going any further than 12400f or 13100f. Planning on getting a 580 4gb, 512gb of storage for a crazy $250 Dollars build.
The i7 3770K is better by a bit but I suggest to find an i5 8500 since it supports windows 11. The 2 CPU’s you you mentioned do not support windows 11, unless your going to upgrade around early 2026 then it’s fine. Another thing to look for is to make sure the PSU has a 8pin pcie connector for the GTX 1660 super. Most optiplexes won’t have the 8 pin pcie connector. So always check out for that.
The RX 560 will perform better. You will get decent fps on performance mode but you would get a bit more with the rx 560. If I had an rx 550 I would test it but I don’t have one sadly.
Try to add these parts for the best performance. 1. Get an Ssd or an nvme m.2 drive, this will be wayyyyy faster than a HDD (big silver drive) 2. Have at least 16GB of ram. 3. Adding a gpu that doesn’t require a pcie 6-8pin power supply connector can make things very easy while at the same time boosting performance. Cards such as the gtx 1650 (used), or the new RTX 3050 6gb (No psu connector) are good cards for these type of builds that don’t have a pcie connector. So if you can find a used gtx 1650 or a used rx 6400 then yea it will be good. If you don’t want to go down the used route then the rtx 3050 6gb is a decent option. Price can be cheaper. (It doesn’t require a power connector, it plugs straight into the motherboard)

PLZ adding an extra 8gb of ram will help and the major major upgrade would be the m.2 drive. Using an HDD in 2024 is not recommended since it takes forever to load, so an ssd or m.2 drive is highly recommended.
Lower your 3D resolution by a bit in the Fortnite settings Make sure your gpu drivers are up do date and check if there’s any window updates Don’t wear animated skins or bright skins such as the fire magma skins, anime skins If you record lower the bitrate in geforce. If you have 8gb of ram adding another stock of 8gb can help a bit. Make sure your cup isn’t overheating. Installing HWmonitor can show you the temps, or msi afterburner Set FN as a high priority task in the task manager every time you open fn. Don’t have to many chrome tabs open Disable unwanted background apps In the bottom right corner make sure other apps that you aren’t using are close. You may not have steam open but it can still be running in the back. So make sure to exit in the bottom right arrow.

I think you saw the max fps that it got on performance mode. That number is the max fps but the average fps throughout the match was like 115-125 FPS. With your specs your suppose to get wayyy better fps even in creative. Try these steps 1. This one is very important Enable XMP in your bios 2. Update all GPU drivers 3. Update all window drivers' 4. Dont wear animated cosmetics (anime skins, reactive stuff) 5. Verify FN files in the epic games launcher 6. Set power plan to high performance or if its in power save mode set it to balanced. (windows power mode settings) 7. Set Fortnite as a high priority task in the task manager every time you open FN. 8. Make sure your cpu isnt overheating, this can cause fps loss 9. Your 4070ti would work much better with a more modern intel or Ryzen cpu so your cpu is holding back your gpu. 10. Disable unwanted background apps. 11. Dont have to many chrome tabs open If your confused on any of the tips you can always search them up on yt such as how to enable XMP.

Also your cpu doesn't support re sizable bar and that cpu is on a Pcie 3.0 platform so your gpu has much more potential. but for now just wait until theres new drivers and hopefully it gets improved and maybe start saving for a new cpu and mobo upgrade. How many gb of ram you have? Also lowering the 3D resolution in the Fortnite graphic settings can help with fps. Don’t go below 50% or else it will be wayyy to pixelated

Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool I have 2 8gb stick of ram making it 16GB so 16gb does help. I closed all chrome tabs, disabled unwanted background apps, set the power mode to high performance and thats pretty much it. Stock settings btw, no overclocks

The ssd was bought locally for $15. It is 480 GB. I wouldn’t usually recommend buying a used ssd, but a brand new ssd or m.2 is around $20-$30 but less than 500GB

@@hossamyouchikh741 The GPU slot goes by PCIe 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 The graphics card has different types of GDDR memory. The RX 550 has 4GB GDDR5 and a more modern gpu like the Rtx 3060 would have 12GB GDDR6. Any gpu will work on the mobo. Just make sure it fits, make sure you have enough wattage, and check if your GPU requires a power connector. Some GPU's like the rx550 dont need a power conenctor and simply connect to the motherboard.
these dell optiplexes aint half bad, they add ''high end'' gpu's to a really shitty prebuilt with a bad cpu. If you can upgrade the power supply and change the cpu it's not terrible.
