Will case numbers scheduling still be observed from lower to higher, or anybody could be scheduled for an interview, regardless of case numbers, since Africa is current??

There is an advantage for lower case numbers but there will be differences between embassies so that higher case numbers will also get some interviews.

hello Mr Simon, thanks for all the explanations about DV. I would like to ask you a question to see if you can guide me. I am the winner of the DV2023 and I already had my interview but they put the case in administrative process at the embassy in Havana. I would like to know how long it usually takes and if I have a chance of getting a visa.
Please mine says NVC but sent a mail to KCC and they said they can’t make any changes to my ds-260 because it’s been sent to my embassy and if any changes are to be made I should take the original documents on the interview date . So would like to ask , can it read nvc while the embassy has it
When filling in DS 260 we have to sign in with Case Number and Invoice ID number. Where can the Invoice ID number be found?

Is it for DV2023 or 2024 bcz I know my friend who had the case number of af34678 for DV 2023 and he got the visa in February

Hi Brit, I have a question about at NVC status. Do you think there is a reasoning behind how the cases are left in this status forever? Maybe there are some factors which affect it. Like, for example, date of DS-260 submission, earlier submitted, the more chances it is going to 2NL. Maybe there are other criteria, education levels, age, number of family members? I don't believe in conspiracies though, so I guess the only thing that affects might be the DS-260 submission date. Or this is just random stuff. What do you think?
Some people do not proceed with the ds260. Others file but never get an interview because of caps or bad embassies. All those stay at nvc forever
@@BritSimon Thanks for reply! But if it were caps or bad embassies or no ds-260 filled, than it should be pretty much the same rate for each thousand starting from 0-1000, 2k … 20k … But in fact „at NVC” the percentage grows on a chart with each thousand.

Since Africa is current now, does that mean that people with high case numbers like: 61k, 62k, 63k etc.. stand a better chance of being called for an interview?? I'm from Monrovia, Liberia

Hello Simon ,I am a dv winner ,I already applied for my ds260 ,before 12 years ago I went one country but not in America ,and I came back after 6 years ,I am living currently in my country around six year,so my question is do I have to inform about the country I went as an student visa and came back in ds260 coz it's long time before so I didn't Inform it in ds260,I had an passport not an MRP one on that time ,after I came back I made an MRP passport ,does it will affect in my interview??? Plz reply soon ,if u didn't understand my question plz at least reply me..

Yaounde is not doing bad as of now. If you are below AF63k then your case is current till July and yaounde is on case 53k by now

Hello Sir, I made one mistake when filling my ds 260 and I submitted it. I mistaken my National identity number with my passport number and that means I didn't put my passport number in the ds 260. Leaving derivatives off the entry form leads to disqualification. There is no other outcome.

The African issue of the visas not even near the quarter to me is systematic because it's something that always happens for many years as African visas are distributed to other regions
I explained the reason. It isn't a secret. It is the bad behavior of a small number of embassies in AF region.
@@BritSimon whatever those embassies are doing, I believe it is sanctioned from above, I don't wanna think they act independently.

Yes, you cannot file until your number is announced in the VB.

@@htmotivation560 why bro, my case 39k which is high, and Addis Ababa, Embassy, performance is poor. Which still send under 20k cases. And only three months left for 2023.
If you can switch embassies, do so.

Hello sir, im a kenyan winner dv 2024, in kenya, customary marriage is legal by law, i officiated my marriage in 2020 through customary procedures, but i got my certificates in may 2023 all dated may. What should i write in ds260 as my marriage date? November 2020, or may 2023? Alternatively will it affect my visa procedure?
If you entered the lottery as married, you should choose a date prior to that - and defend your choice.
hi Brit, I'm a dv2023 winner, originally from Ghana but reside in Spain, did my interview in Madrid on 21 march and i was told that my Visa has been approved but my high school certificate must be confirmed and that in 10 days time my passport and other documents would be sent to my address but until now have not been issued the Visa. the last time i contacted the embassy, i was told that they are still waiting for the confirmation of it. We are in may now and my medical exam gets 6 months old in July. what should I do?
I don't know how things work in Ghana though
But in Cameroon I would suggest you take your certificate (someone can do that if you're not home) and go to the examination body In Ghana get the confirmation yourself and take it to the embassy.
Sammy, kindly let someone go to waec with your index number, year of examination and your full name. You will pay just about 200 cedis and it will be sent to the embassy within 3working days or less. It's so so simple. I did same before I went to the interview because my certificate was missing. I got there and they confirmed they have received it. My visa was approved. Don't waste time..
