  • MASS EFFECT ANDROMEDA Why This Game Had a Terrible Launch! Today we discuss why this game had a terrible launch and how it gets so much better! Join me for Mass Effect Andromeda tips & tricks!
    Mass Effect: Andromeda is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The game is scheduled for release in North America on March 21, 2017 and in Europe on March 23. It will be the fourth entry overall in the Mass Effect series and the first since Mass Effect 3 (2012). The game begins within the Milky Way Galaxy during the 22nd century, where humanity is planning to populate new home worlds in the Andromeda Galaxy as part of a strategy called the Andromeda Initiative. The player assumes the role of either Sara or Scott Ryder, an inexperienced military recruit who joins the Initiative and wakes up in Andromeda following a 600-year journey.

    I feel like all the people ripping this game for it's animations and are calling it horseshit haven't touched it...I've put close to thirty hours in so far and I've loved every minute of it

      SmashtasticGaming I just got done with dracks loyalty mission. The cutscene after fighting 2 mechs was just every character in the mission in a t pose talking with their lips not even moving. Ryder was floating in thin air in the t pose and drack was inside of vetra and some side character. This has happened 4 times that I can count and I've had to restart my game each time because the game crashed. If that's not immersion breaking then I don't know what is.

      Zapp Brannigan uh it's entirely role playing dialoguethe hell you saying

    • @Anonymous-fm4pr
      @Anonymous-fm4pr 7 лет назад +14

      Zapp Brannigan The dialogue is great, and the decisions are great. I feel more connected to Ryder than Shepard, and I already love a bunch of the new characters. The main story is at best intriguing and fun, at worst drawn out and boring. Side quests are hit and miss, but those hits are phenomenal.
      *SPOILERS*
      There is a minor side mission on Eos, only after all the radiation is cleared and Prodromos is set up. You set up 2 seismic hammers, and make a decision about where to set up the next one. When you do this, you encounter a *massive* enemy known as the Architect, and have an amazing boss fight with it. This is all from a minor side mission.
      *END SPOILERS*

    Completely agree, the game gets better, but you need to be a patient player. I am about 13 hours in and really developing a love for the game. It reminds me so much of the first Mass Effect game. Those hating on it are either jumping on the bandwagon, not Mass Effect players so don't get the structure or just not patient gamers. Yes it has issues and faults but show me a game that doesn't.

      Well, the problem is that this game in particular showed us too many issues even before its launch, I remember that The Witcher 3 at launch had some ridiculously funny and frustrating bugs, but they didn't show it like EA/Bioware did, and they worked really hard to fix it as fast as they could. The other problem is that Andromeda's animations stick out like a sore thumb even more so in a Bioware game where one of the best things were the characters and dialogues

    • @syahminazuhan
      @syahminazuhan 7 лет назад +9

      I completely agree with you and everything explained in the video. The game got a whole lot better once you enter the first vault on Eos. The story is amazing and I love how different the two Ryders are, personality-wise. The poor animations don't really bother me however, I will admit that I am deeply frustrated by the poor character customisation options.
      Honestly, I would rather know about all of the ridiculously funny and frustrating bugs upfront before buying the game than for the developer to HIDE it like what the Witcher 3 did back then. That game was a buggy mess at launch.

    As a fan of the series, and knowing the Original Trilogy was 634 years behind us, I was willing to spend 8-10 hours to get into a NEW game and wait to see what was on offer. With 70 Hours logged so far, and every planet completed, I think I've got a pretty good gauge on the game, and like was said, it DOES GET BETTER. Much. The animations don't get worse (in my playthrough) but they don't improve. The writing switches between compelling and cringeworthy. The worlds are extremely unique and varied. And the new characters, especially the new companions, have the potential to grow on me as much as the Normandy's crew, given we have as much time with the new crew as we did the old. Put it this way, I haven't played with Liam Kosta since the beginning of the game and his loyalty mission, but I still Remember his full name.Overall, I enjoy it, but I think that's because as a Mass Effect fan, I have prior experience, I know the "in-jokes" and am invested in the franchise. That's my opinion so far =)

      Christopher Reimold Yea I agree, Liara meeting her mother in ME1 was unintentionally hilarious IMO. And in either 2 or 3 there is a conversation that no matter what paths you take you always end up getting renegade.

      Mac 'n Burn or any Bioware game

    • @ZXaber78
      @ZXaber78 7 лет назад +1

      Mac 'n Burn but those first hours established the characters, on Eos you interact briefly with PeeBee and the Krogan and all of a sudden they've joined you and everyone is acting like they've been a team for years. This is pretty much the first time any of these characters have worked with one another. I don't think the problem is too much dialogue or too slow a pace, quite the opposite in fact, I found that the game rushed through a lot and gave you far to much to do right out of the gate rather than developing the world and characters in an enclosed setting before opening up the world to the player.

    • @calibrationsrequired7655
      @calibrationsrequired7655 7 лет назад +1

      P Kenna Have you played the game? The fact that you say "the krogan" leads me to believe you haven't.

    • @nateputerbaugh5709
      @nateputerbaugh5709 7 лет назад +5

      Mac 'n Burn The first few hours of ME1 were slower, but you at least had a sense of purpose during it. Hunting down proof of Saren, hanging out with Wrex and Garrus, stuff with the Asari consort, even saving Tali's life in a fight. There's really no one likeable on the Nexus (Where is my renegade interrupt to punch Addison in her stupid tired face?) and really all you're doing is getting yelled at by people you don't care much about until they allow you to leave.

    • @MrBlackatheist
      @MrBlackatheist 7 лет назад +5

      You haven't played the game then. Because they barely even acknowledge you at the beginning of the game.They don't give you respect at all, Cora and Drack will even mock you. And none of them really get along beside Suvi and Kailo at first. Everyone is just doing their own thing and keeping to themeselves. PeeBee admits she thought about leaving everyday but didn't want to miss out on any new tech.
      They don't really start to come together until mid way through the game.

    Honestly this game feels just like I would want a Mass Effect game to feel. Yeah they should have fixed the facial animations but I think that it is still really good overall. It is friggen huge and after about 20 hours in, I have barely scratched the surface.

    I believe that it would be worth putting 20 hours in to get to andromeda's content. Highly recommended. Reviewers seem to be basing their decisions on comparisons between andromeda and previous mass effect titles and technical issues which don't effect my experience that much at all (it maybe because I'm a huge bethesda fan and I'm used to my games having more bugs than gameplay features.)

      A lot of people just stayed there doing every possible quest they could find and it's a huge area... so, eventually they'd get bored of it and quit. What you *should* do there is just enough quests to get the power you need to advance the next story point and play clean up later.

    After playing 20 hours of the game I can state this.
    Pros:
    -Fantastic Visuals
    -Best EVER Mass Effect Gameplay
    -Nomad Driving (soak in the environment of each planet you go to is amazing)
    -Research and Development brings back RPG element that has been missing since ME1
    -Mix of different characters (normal for ME game)
    -Travelling to planets is fun (and looks amazing), who knew mining could be so fun.
    -The mystery of Andromeda galaxy is so fascinating
    -The concept of going into a new galaxy where there is an established civilisation like back in the Milky Way really does appeal to me, I like how its different.
    Cons:
    -Facial Animations (they're not great but it doesnt deter me)
    -Conversations with general (non main characters) are quite poor
    -Ryder is just not even close to Shepherd
    -The soundtrack seems very poor (in comparison to the ME Trilogy), apart from the main menu theme (which is incredible), the music during gameplay does not stand out which is a disappointment.
    -The Developers clearly fell victim to the potential threat of a SJW invasion if they made a sexy female character as they would claim Bioware would be objectifying women.
    Overall its a fantastic game, ME2 is my favourite one as the final sequence of the game is the best I have ever played in a game. If ME:A comes close to that than it might just be my favourite. The gameplay alone outweighs all the cons I've mentioned.

      I actually find Cora and Peebee cute in their own way. And I'm happy Ryder is different from Shepard. I love Shepard but I'll be lying if I didn't find them boring a good number of times. Ryder can be annoying at times tho.

      I found ryder actually evolved as i played with him and towards the end i found him better then i found shepard by the end of the first mass effect. and i would disagree with the sjw thing. i think you are giving them too much credit. lets face it bioware just cant make faces. lets not even pretend that the other games were that much better. although i agree in this game the female faces are a disaster zone. everything else i agree on

    I feel like people who hate on game are not too friendly with rpg games; rpg games always start out slowly and then kick off after certain point. DAI was slow but after certain attack on your keep, things quickly escalated. That is why rpgs are games you can play for 200+ hours instead of barely 80, because they are slow and immersive

    • @OneReallyGrumpyJill
      @OneReallyGrumpyJill 7 лет назад +1

      See...There is problem in that; if you start out too strong and too fast, it feels weird. Like, you just got in and all those stuff happening? It feels less natural. Starting out slowly and calmly kinda builds up atmosphere; in Fallout New Vegas actions starts once you reach Vegas yet it can take you long time to get there.

      "How else would they keep you interested in the narrative for 200+ hours ?"
      I don't want a game where i am interested in the narrative for 200+ hours, i want a game where i am interested in existing and walking around, exploring for 200+ hours and as such, i might like MEA more than the previous games. Having spent over 750 hours in DA:I, this new game is pretty much what i've been waiting for, less stuck on narrative rides and more chances to just experience living in the world...

      First, let's not be rude about games, everyone have their own tastes
      And second, no, technically Fallout New Vegas started out tad slow. Sure, you get that thing where you are shot, but then main story line get buried under all the side quests and is not brought up before you reach Vegas itself.

    I have well over 50 hours in, and I have only one suggestion. Think of the main quest and vault on a planet as a can opener (the can being the planet). By first completing the main quest and vault on a planet, it generally "opens" the planet, and removes many of the obstacles that cause difficulty in trying to explore or complete secondary and task missions.

  • @not_hanky_ou
    @not_hanky_ou 7 лет назад +7

    Not only does the game get better as time passes, it get's a whole lot better.
    I get that people want the most "bang for the buck", but speaking as someone who's not poor/not in a tricky economic situation I even feel that 50€ + EA access cost for 10 hours for Andromeda was well worth the money.
    And now I'm almost 30 hours in and and the game has gotten much better it's like I've gotten my money's worth back thrice.
    A lot of the criticism of Andromeda is justified, there are obviously issues with the game.
    But so far when I compare criticism of games that have been released in the last 10 years, most of the criticism is due to blatant spoiled rotten ignorance. It's like people haven't any games before.
    I mean I'm usually the most cranky and picky dude there is when it comes to animation glitches and bugs, but so far Andromeda isn't even remotley as buggy as Inquisition was on launch, nor any of the Mass Effect 1-3 games. I think people forget how messy the trilogy was and nostalgia is altering memories.
    And about Andromeda being slow.. I just don't get it. All of the Mass Effect and Dragon Age games were slow in the begining.
    Game of Thrones was slow in the beginning. The Expanse was slow in the beginning.
    Mostly any good movie, series or game ever made was, in my opinion slow in the beginning.

    • @jcaashby3
      @jcaashby3 7 лет назад +1

      Robin Lundgren I think your 100% right. People are comparing this first game in I assume a new trilogy on the entire first trilogy.
      mass effect one had plenty of things that could be critiqued but got a pass because the time it was made and how interesting the story was and is.
      ME:A I think it's being judged based on games in its genre now and yes it's behind in some areas..namely the animations. but it's far far ahead and many other areas.
      something minor but really impressed me was when I landed back on eos for the first time after starting the new colony. I really liked the update that Sam went over talking about what was happening with the planet since we had left.
      I expected the place to be Just as left it.

      I agree, I am enjoying the game. I don't mind the facial animations, but the dialog bothers me a little. In RL everyone can have a poor/bad day even with the best of friends. I feel that there are not enough reply choices when using dialog, for example PeeBee or Liam any of your squadmates or other NPCs you might be on good terms with them but options to be snarky or sarcastic if they say/do something to annoy you are not present.
      The story line is great, combat much improved, graphics overall excellent. I have a 1st gen I7 system and medium raedon card and it runs very well.
      Not quite 50hrs in and on my 3rd planet.

  • @TheProudOne

    What I find questionable from EA and Bioware is that they actually delayed the game almost as year and STILL it came out with these issues. I could understand if things like the animations were a problem around before the delay and they needed time to iron out these things, but why are they still in the game at this point? It just makes no sense.

    I get why people think it's a slow start, but I like it. I remember landing on Eos and thinking "ok, this is an irradiated hellhole of a planet... let's make it liveable!" It's a new kind of challenge we haven't had in a Mass Effect game. We aren't just badassfully fighting our way through the galaxy to beat an ancient enemy - we are creating a new home for all the people who left the Milky Way, it's up to us to take this horrible sandhole of a planet and kick it into shape. And I love it!

    I played both EA access and Origin Access as I had it on both PC and XB1. I really didn't find Eos as bad as you did. I didn't rush the game found the stopping point at about 7 hours in. Once I found it I just did side quests til my time was up. I am mostly enjoying the game but the sheer amount of quests is starting to weigh me down. This game is really massive and i could use sure I could just ignore the side quests but then I look at my map for directions and I see that exclamation point and am just drawn to it.

    I've been playing this game now for over 30 hours and this just might be my favourite Mass Effect game. But i did like the Mako-exploration of ME1 and have spent over 750 playing Dragon Age, so this combination of free roaming and talking to people is just a perfect mix for me. I often felt that ME2 and ME3 had too much time stuck in story-bits and and too little time just living in that world.
    But i'm the sort of a crazy person who rides their mount at the slowest possible speed from place to place in Withcer 3 and walk or jog from one side of the map to the other in HZD instead of fast-traveling. So, others might pan this game, but for me so far, other than the lady with a tired face, i haven't seen anything that would lessen my enjoyment of this. Top 10 game ever-list for me, maybe...

One thing that I was really trying to figure out is what's going on with the public (and press) x Bioware. Seriously, two major apocalyptical events happened without any parallel. Mass Effect 3 was a damn good game. The ending not so much, but the whole world was over with that ending. Now, Andromeda faces again an armaggeddon with the facial animations. Its really weird. I don't think that any other game company have suffered such a demonic bombardment directed to its flaws. It's a shame. Keep on the nice work

    I'm used to playing JRPGs and honestly 10 hrs or so to get into the game sounds about right. Sure the mechanics of the game are supposed to grip you pretty much immediately but any deep story telling needs you to understand what's going on. I think some of the reason why mass effect 2 did so well is because you didn't need the hand holding at the beginning. I hope this doesn't keep andromeda from being its own trilogy.

    I mostly agree with you, except that i was actually hooked from the start of the game. I like the slow start, to the eventual build up. This game needs that slow start to build this new world. I have mostly positive experiences with the game, and the animations really are not bad at all, nor game breaking (for me). Great vid though, nice hearing this new wave of positive feedback on this game.

    As someone who played the story-heavy and atmospherically rich ME1 first and loved it the best, I've been having a blast with MEA! I even liked Eos (but your comparison fits as I'd always wished we'd seen more of Mars in the triology) and am just having so much fun.

    Great video and commentary! Bioware/EA screwed up pretty bad with early access. It's hard to believe how badly they messed up with that. I did not play Single Player yet because I am still playing Yakuza 0 and I don't like to mix 2 story heavy game together. I played 5 hours of multiplayer of Mass Effect Andromeda and I have to say - it is really good! Character animations are not as fluid as in GTA 5 On-line, but it's ok. The controls are very tight and using powers is awesome. The horde mode is very addictive. I like how Bioware went with classic style of Gears of War and Gears of War 2. I really enjoyed myself. I am looking forward to play Single Player. Back to playing Yakuza 0 (great game)

    I'm a huge Mass Effect fan and I'm really enjoying Andromeda. It does have some glitches that I'm sure will be addressed in future patches. I appreciated getting the slower introductory dialogues out of the way early in the first 10 hrs in the early Access gameplay because it gave me time later to get used to the radically different combat, movement and gameplay. I love the unfolding storyline, the beauty and detail of the new worlds, getting to know the Andromeda natives. So yes, the game gets better and better.
    My only real complaint is that the squadmate directions don't work at all. Rally somewhat works but the left SM command activates Rally and the right SM moves and then does nothing.
    Great job, btw on all your videos.

    Andromeda definitely isn't perfect, but you are on point here. My biggest complaint hasn't even been about the game itself; it's about EA picking a terrible approach in the weeks leading up to launch. Giving gated access to only that portion of the game is a true head scratcher. It gave the internet a lot of ammo to declare broad generalizations, which proved to be detrimental to Andromedas reputation. That's a shame, considering the thoughtful, slow release of content in the months leading up to release. This polarizing opening did one of two things to people; they either appreciated the expository opening trying to re-establish the ME universe, or they despised it based on perceived limitations. The latter were also understandably critical of the smaller problems which ultimately have been way overblown.
    The truth is, it opens up, and becomes so much more than people thought it would be. I couldn't stand Ryder at first, but now I'm seeing him as the same blank canvas that Shepard was. The experience largely becomes yours to craft, and it is genuinely one of the most gripping titles I've played in years. Even if it's imperfect.

    Could you do one on ME:A inventory? I find myself confused - what items count towards the inventory count and which don't? Do I need to get rid of weapons not in my loadout to make room in my inventory (ie do I need to trash a pistol I never plan on using because it counts against my inventory)? Why can't I just leave crap on my giant spaceship.

    8 hours is way more than enough time to know whether a game is worth your time. Extending this or that wouldn't make a difference. All they had to do was make those 8 hours actually good. The game has been getting mediocre to good scores, and has a series of bugs that no game should launch with. People aren't buying it because of these reviews, and they are appropriately earned.

    The constant crashes on PC is another issue. I've had 6 crashes so far in the span of 30 hours, 5 during cut-scenes (one crash during the opening monologue!), and 1 during conversation. It's as if the game can sense that I'm laughing at how terrible the animation is, so it decides to punish my by crashing.

    I remember me1, and playing it for the first time. It took the only reason I completed it was because I knew the series is better after it, other than that, I thought the gameplay, story and graphics were all bad. Andromeda does not have this issue, is is worth playing as a stand alone game. I've run into a LOT of technical issues, but not enough to ruin the experience. It's too bad it doesn't make a good first impression at launch, but I bet it will be great by NG+.

It's cool to hate, I wanna be cool and talk shit because that's what all these cool RUclipsrs are doing! Sure they aren't the best, but seriously how many games nail facial animation? Doesn't deter me at all, I have my own mind, and I know what the characters feel by hearing what they say. My brain takes care of the facial animation for me.

  • @StarlightDragon
    @StarlightDragon 7 лет назад +1

    My issues with the game are unrelated to the first 10 hours. My main complains are with the overall Polish of the game. A lot of my concerns come down to bad voice acting, lack of animations on anything, and a horrible UI that affects pretty much every aspect of the game. From reading the codex, to sorting your quests, to crafting, to just managing your inventory and equipment, the game is a train wreck.
    I do still enjoy the game, overall, but those aspects make the game feel either unfinished, or thoughtlessly designed.
    Also, there is plenty of dialog that just really sucks. The game lacks a lot of charm, and that probably comes down to bad acting, but I find myself blank faced or frustrated through a lot of dialog.

    I'm actually really glad they had the access version because of all the bad reviews. It allowed me to see that the bad parts weren't that bad or not to me at least. I tend to start any game on the hardest difficulty to see if failures make it so frustrating I have to lower the difficulty or if they make me buckle up and rethink the strategy. I did end up lowering the difficulty during the fiend fight but not due to frustration but rather time constraints as my time was almost up on access and I wasn't to the cutoff point yet. I did manage to get to the cutoff but wasn't able to get back to the nexus to turn in side quests or tryout multiplayer so they might've picked the cutoff for that reason?

    Saying Eos having a radiation hazard makes the first part bad because the rest of the game didn't have a radiation hazard isn't fair. If in 30 hours Havarl probably isn't the only other planet you've visited, and you'd know planets like Voeld and Elaaden have environmental hazards too.

    Yes, absolutely. While it is true, the opening might have been better handled, to tell the truth, I, personally would not know how to do that. I have some fine, and notable skills, and have been called a 'genius' more than once, but I have no talent for RPG Open Game design.
    I also tend to be a bit slow on the 'brick and mortar' construction of my character, weapons, armor, and the combinations of skills. For this reason, I do not expect to do well starting out. In truth, the scenery, the discovery, investigating the ships and planets, and just trying to stay alive, occupy my beginning of many games. I love searching every nook and cranny for things. My only real disappointment in the game so far, is the lack of a storage option for all the stuff I collect. I don't like being rushed into selling or trading off something I found, and don't yet know it's long term use.
    I play these games all the way to the end - very end - the bitter end - where there are no more secrets, no more missions, nothing left to find, and no way to advance.
    The first ten hours is not an accurate measure of the next hundred or more. I can not imagine the weapons, armor, and skills that await down the road.
    Some of the facial expressions really are a little funny, though.

    I'm about 5 hours in and while it's clear the animations aren't great the amount of content is staggering and the combat is stellar. If anything my biggest problem is the optimisation - frame rates go as high as 100+ and can drop to 30 depending on the environment, regardless of settings.

    I think a lot of the hate comes from how Sara Ryder's default looks end up in game. Most of the meme comes from her facial expressions. A lot of valid points you pose JV. I feel that many people who dismiss the first 8 hours, never played ME1. After Eden Prime, there's almost 8 hours worth of exposition on the citadel. Bioware def went back to their roots with a lot of aspects of Andromeda and I'm pleasantly pleased by it.
    With that said, you are 100% on about the handling of all gated/timed material. But people will never give this GOOD game a fair shake because of a few lousy reviews. Seems like a lot of personalities came out of he woodwork to join the "bash Andromeda" bandwagon

    See, I would also like to point out that another thing t that put me off when I preordered Andromeda was the lack of character customization options. It was a huge step back from all the previous games. You can't change the lips, eyes, ears, nose, and you don't ha e the option of customizing default Scott and Sara. It was just a huge downer for me as a fan of the Game, but the Gameplay itself is good. The problems with the animations are overblown. There are two issues - 1, it is prohibitively expensive to motion-capture everything in a game this big. You could trade off size for better animation, but I think that is a bad trade. 2, we're in uncanny valley territory now. The problem isn't really that the animation is poor, it is that other parts look "too good", and so unnatural animation sticks out more.

    I'm generally not willing to spend 10 hours if there isn't anything fun to do. But I didn't find the first 10 hours of andromeda to be boring, really. Really the only "slow" section was the time you spend on the Nexus, and it's not unlike the time spent on the citadel in previous games. Even though there isn't much action, there's still a lot to learn and take in. I've been playing this game like I played the original Mass Effect - listening to what each character has to say, looking at the environments, and digesting the codex entries. This game is all about story and context, and the more time you invest in fleshing out your own understanding of the universe, the more immersive it will become - facial animations notwithstanding.

    I played the 10 hours of EA Access and had no problem with the "slow story." I usually go into an ME game...or any game for that matter...assuming that there will be a introductory period from which the game really takes off. This is especially true in a game like this in which we're introduced into an entirely new galaxy. Facial animations could be better and I'm personally dealing with a weird SFX glitch that should not be happening with my specs. but I'm about 26 hours in and I'm enjoying it.

    I'm up around 80 hours and just finished the main storyline. Honestly, I'm at about a 4-5 rating (out of 10). I agree that the game got better after the 10 hours, and I agree that EA/BioWare really didn't handle this launch well. The 10 hours wasn't nearly enough for a game of this type, and Eos was definitely the worst of the main planets.
    The animations weren't a problem for me as for others. I noticed them at first, but that quickly fell away. The technical issues were really bad for the game. It felt unfinished and buggy, even moreso than I expected from early reviews. Plus, it grew tedious for me. The side quests started to feel like a pointless grind to clear the map after a while. I liked the main quest well enough, but it felt so short. Of my 80 hours in the game, I'd be surprised if more than 15 was the main storyline, say 25-30 if you count the vaults. The loyalty missions were a good addition, but even a couple of those (PeeBee!) started to feel like they were never going to end.
    The phrase is overused with ME:A, but it truly did feel like Dragon Age: Inquisition in space. And while I enjoyed DA:I, I wasn't looking for a recycling of the same game. I was hoping for more. The lack of a tightly focused story really hurt the game, in my opinion.

    I'm just past 65 hours into the game and have to agree that the trial stop point hurt my perception of the game. I did hang in there obviously and it has improved drastically. There are a few bugs with screen freezes that can be worked around. Polish is an issue on facial looks and animations mainly on humans. You did hit a lot of points right on the nose. I haven't checked if the rumors were true if the facial animation person had little to no experience and was hired to increase the dev team diversity??? I'm all for diversity, but I think that qualifications are still very important. I'm hooked for sure; the crafting system is awesome. By the way, crafting a weapon to lvl 5 opens the advanced version that expands it to level X that can't be crafted till Ryder is lvl 80.

    All I can say is that I've played the early access, bought the game, sunk about 50 or so hours into it and beat the main story as well as many various side/loyalty missions. The game is a slow build but gets slightly more epic as you are able to explore the vast world that they have created. I can vouch that game hits all the points that you expect a mass effect game to hit and in a satisfying way to. The game does have its faults and can be tedious at times but if you are able to put the hours in, you will enjoy it.... goofy walks and faces and all.
